Book Searching for the Truth on Sunday Morning

Download or read book Searching for the Truth on Sunday Morning written by The Gospel and published by America Star Books. This book was released on 2014-03-31 with total page 237 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Every Sunday morning both new Christians and old Christians go from church to church hoping to hear the teachings of Jesus rather than man-made rules. Also on Sunday morning are people that don’t go to church for whatever reason. They may or may not believe in God yet but as you read the Bible you feel like these people are also ones Jesus hopes to reach. This book takes us through the steps of finding God and they all start with Jesus. Using only the Bible we see what Jesus said about accepting Him and being saved. Using the scripture we look at His teachings on baptism, the Holy Spirit, tithing and finally what church we can go to on a Sunday morning to hear His words. The book points to the ministers Jesus said we must follow to be following Him. When we go to His chosen church we expect to be blessed every Sunday morning with the gentle words from Jesus and feel the humble Spirit of God. When people find this way they feel like they are finally part of His flock that Jesus talked about. This church is found around the world but until now nothing but the Bible itself has been written about them. The second half of the book also has many surprises including why there are so many different churches with different opinions on how to follow Jesus. Maybe the most shocking revelation is finding out what happened to the Pharisee Jews that Jesus warned us about so many times that ended up having Him killed. The world thinks the Pharisees just blended back into the Jewish population, but they never, they left Israel and started a new church that is still going today.

The storyline follows new information I have acquired since then. As you read this book, it will become obvious why I needed to change the names of the informants. In order to make a cohesive read, I assembled the tidbits of information with times, places, and connections that are fictious. For those readers who know this issue, and/or have read Is Anybody Listening?, I’m sure you will remember where that book ends in the Jim Birchim story. So, put on your detective hat and come along with Deborah as she tells you about the hunt for information leading to what happened to Captain James D. Birchim in the Vietnam War.

Book In Search of the Truth

Download or read book In Search of the Truth written by Michael O'Connell and published by Gill & Macmillan Ltd. This book was released on 2017-05-31 with total page 475 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The British criminal justice system is not dedicated to the truth. It is concerned only with reasonable doubt. During the British Army campaign in Northern Ireland (1969-2007), security forces often dispensed with judge and jury, selected candidates for assassination, extracted false evidence from suspects, forced confessions from innocents and tortured citizens detained without trial.Recent inquests have disclosed a wealth of explosive, newly declassified information, which allows for a compulsive expose of abuses of power. Drawing on previously unseen material, Michael O'Connell, an experienced criminal lawyer, lays bare the chilling details of key cases in which the law was disregarded. He reveals how the truth was sacrificed to collusion, prejudice and corruption in notorious cases. Among them are the killing of Maire Drumm (Vice President of Sinn Fein), before which an army unit surrounding the hospital where she was a patient was withdrawn, and of Miriam Daly (a lecturer in Queen's University) in her home, where outgoing calls had been cut.Too often, the attitude of politicians is to leave the past behind. But without the truth and justice, there can be no reconciliation or forgiveness. In this careful examination of indisputable evidence, Michael O'Connell seeks to ensure wrongful convictions of the innocent will not be repeated

Book In Search of the Truth

Download or read book In Search of the Truth written by John Cartwright and published by Andrews UK Limited. This book was released on 2024-01-10 with total page 79 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book tells the story of John Cartwright, a now-retired barrister, who spent his career in search of the truth. Incredibly, this search was mirrored in his personal life; his childhood was wrapped in secrecy and his father was dead... or so John had been led to believe. In his own words, John tells us about an ambitious young man setting out to make a career at the Bar. Initially employed in a local firm of solicitors - a job he took straight after leaving school - John took the then highly unusual step of having himself struck off the solicitors' roll in order to study for the Bar. Successful in this venture - placed first in order of merit by Gray's Inn at the Bar examinations - he began at chambers in The Temple, soon discovering that one needed eyes in the back of one's head as rivals jockeyed for position. Throughout his professional life, John encountered many battles, both personal and professional. From false allegations about himself that no one would discuss face-to-face, to an instance of mistaken identity and a wealth of unusual court cases, John's focus has always been to ascertain the truth. His legacy includes having developed a widespread practice in Criminal and Common Law - and more recently in clinical negligence - as well as having uncovered the truth about his father who, at the time of the discovery, was alive, well and living in Kent. With the story of his unusual upbringing and fascinating career - including details of a number of curious cases - this autobiography is both an inspiring read and an engaging insight into a man who has always remained in search of the truth.

Download or read book A Call To Truth My Search written by Gary Nicks and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2017-01-23 with total page 216 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Have you ever questioned the teachings of the church? Do they make sense to you? When there are teachings you don't understand, have you ever been told, "Just take it on faith, brother?" I have! This was not acceptable to me. If God wants us to know him and his son, Jesus Christ, and the Word of God is his communication to us, then we as individuals should be able to study his Word and understand it. However, I believe that we are in the unfortunate time for the church in which the prophecy of the Apostle Paul has come to its fulfillment: For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. (2 Timothy 4:3-4) This book presents many of the questions I had in my quest for truth. It addresses some of the most egregious doctrines that lead people away from understanding God's plan and how they are to fi t into it. In order to effectively seek God, you must ask questions. Why? Mainly because it is just as easy to believe a lie as it is the truth. Remember John 4:23-24: Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Search for Raoul Wallenberg: The Truth tells a true story that reaches back over one hundred years, touches on the lives of over one hundred thousand people, involves the governments of four countries, includes hundreds of documents, and both exposes scandals and showcases heroism. There are many books about Raoul Wallenberg, the diplomat who saved one hundred thousand innocent lives during World War II. This one is unique. It is about all the behind-the-scenes activity involved in the release of the his prison records from the Soviet Union, where the idea originated, why it was important, how it was done, and the background of the impartial investigation that followed. In addition, it exposes the people who tried to prevent the truth, the reasons why, who confronted them, and those who worked tirelessly on behalf of this great hero. I know because this is my story. This story had its humble beginnings in Glen Cove and Sea Cliff, Long Island. The book will demonstrate what an individual can accomplish if they are dedicated, imaginative, courageous, and compassionate. Further, the book extends into the future by advocating implementation of lessons learned, avarice avoided, and compassionate lifestyles adopted. Proceeds from the sale of this book continue Raoul Wallenberg 's legacy of compassion through Raoul Wallenberg Vegan International (www.VeganInternational.org) and Raoul Wallenberg Vegan Retreat (www.veganretreat.org). Book Search For Truth The seeker begins

Download or read book Search For Truth The seeker begins written by BRYAN RADZIN and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2014-08-18 with total page 332 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I don't have so much tricks up my sleeve, as much as journalistic fundamentals to take down powerful and influential people that think they're completely above the law and won't ever get caught. I want to show them that we're watching and they will be held accountable. So if a politician is only in it for the money, and say they want illegals to leave, is there a possibility they don't want them to leave? Is there a chance they really want them here because immigrant labor is cheaper than American? Are politicians making money hand over fist because the companies that employ immigrants make truckloads of it themselves and therefore contribute more to campaigns? The vigilante types are probably linked to the corrupt politicians, who both stand to lose equally if immigrants were made legal. The politicians would lose the status quo of cheap labor they can take advantage of, and the vigilantes would have to deal with a multi-racial society; which is all meant to benefit the status quo.

Book excerpt: Aliens to zombies amid a spirited romance populated the pages of The First Second Coming as it explored why people search the skies for messiahs and UFOs. The Search for Truth takes on the science vs. religion debate. Marlene Martindale and Chris Larson are now married, have an infant daughter, live in a small town, and are prospering from Chris' expanding business that serves the neopagan community. Marlene's desire for spirituality has taken her from being a secular humanist to a follower of modern witchcraft, and her dream is to legitimize and popularize the faith by establishing a Wiccan religious center that can be a trip destination for worship, instruction, and even fun. As if the fi nancial and human capital required to plan and build the religious center were not enough, other life events insert themselves for better or worse, such as: - The discovery that infant Olivia has inherited a blindness-causing condition that may or may not be curable. - A lovably odd astrophysicist, whose sister and Marlene were once dear friends, tries to reunite the two women now that the sister seems to have beaten back a deadly cancer. - Marlene restarts her psychotherapy practice aided by a new computer tool to treat her UFO encounter clients. Her first client, however, is someone she'd rather forget. - Eye-opening developments unfold for the kindly alien Guests. And more! From Darwin's evolution to genetics to the search for the god particle to modern Wicca to the search for God in a less enigmatic universe, come join in the search for truth.
