Book Science in Veda

Book excerpt: Vedas are considered as an ocean of knowledge. Every bit of Vedas is very important each stanza, each line, each word has a significant meaning to it. For the language also supports its purpose. It is said that Sanskrit is the only nearest language which could be used to explain or describe anything clearly and specifically. It is the only Vedic Dharma where religion and Science go in hand to hand. The Vedas contain in them the gems of all true sciences. The book Science in Veda deals with the combined approaches of modern science and ancient Vedic science. As we know that Indian Scriptures and Sanskrit literature is the storehouse of knowledge. As we go through this literature they have innumerable illustrations of Science, technology, arts, music, dance, environment, architecture, vehicles etc. The present book is an attempt to explore the knowledge of science, penetrate the mystery of the Vedas and to search out in them the various branches of Science. The book is divided into ten chapters describing the importance of water as described in our vedic literature.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Vedic Chants were declared a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2003 and added to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2008. However, only very few people in Western cultures know that the Vedas are the origin of all world religions, and even less that they, as such, do not contain a faith but a science. The word Vedas translated from Sanskrit means "science", not "faith". The biggest problem in understanding this science, besides its enormous abundance of writings, for the study of which a normal human life is hardly sufficient, is that its scientific explanations can only be found encoded in mystical language. There is also no one who has a more understandable version of it, not even among the Brahmins in India, because the Vedas were given to humans at a time when they were not yet able to understand them in scientific language. The oldest swastika ever found (Mezine, Ukraine), symbol of Hinduism, gives us an idea of when that was: about 18,000 years ago, towards the end of the last ice age. Rishi Siddhartha, who has personally experienced the highest Brahman, has now succeeded in deciphering the Vedas for the first time ever, and his book is aimed at Veda students who are already familiar with the most important Vedic concepts and are keen to gain a scientific understanding of the like. It contains, in line with this objective, a physical treatise and therefore requires knowledge of physics at high school level, an excellent spatial imagination and high intelligence for understanding, because the scientific understanding of the Vedas is a mental quantum leap from the current materialistic science of our perceptible ,,relative reality" (Vedic designation) to the millennia-old science of the superimposed ,,absolute reality" of Brahman, which draws a completely different worldview that is far too complex and grand for a human being ever to come up with. An excerpt from this book appeared just a few weeks after its publication as leading article in the German Nexus Magazine (Issue No. 86) and triggered a wave of enthusiasm and amazement, because the millennia-old Vedas obviously contain the all-explanatory world formula (,,Theory of everything" = T.O.E.) that modern science is looking for. Accordingly, all phenomena of the material world consist of three different types of electromagnetic waves (Gunas) that are projected from outside into the universe and carried (as Prana) by the smallest units of space (Akasha) in synchronism with their integrated resonant circuits (Shabda) throughout the entire universe, to meet in phase in just one place (similar to a holography) and transform there into matter or living beings (Maya). The first part of this book contains a summary of all relevant scientific statements of the Vedas and reveals how the universe, matter and living beings came into existence and how they function. In the second part, the deciphered Vedic Science is applied to the pyramids and reveals virtuously their purpose and function! The fact that with pyramids the quantum flow (prana) can also be used as an inexhaustible source of energy is undoubtedly the most important side result at that. So much in advance: the sound of the OM, the most sacred mantra in Hinduism and Buddhism, plays a central role at that. It carries us to the Sea of Causes (Karanodak) outside the universe. There, the smallest units of space (Akasha) take on water-like properties and, thanks to their cluster intelligence, form an intelligent, living and autonomous organism ... Brahman ... the Cosmic Consciousness ... origin of all life and all matter!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: India was a major power during ancient and medieval times. But very little is known about its scientific and technological achievements, and the contributions that were very influentia1 to human civilization. India had the highest standards of living; it introduced math (including the number zero) to the world, along with many other inventions that date back more than 4,000 years. India's many contributions (including brick technology, Ayurvedic medicine, yoga, and the first medical school) were the inspiration for this well-balanced encyclopedia, which seeks to reintroduce classical Indian sciences to scholars and others. This volume offers alphabetically arranged entries, covering agriculture, algebra, arithmetic, astrology, astronomy, calculus, decimal rotation, geography, geometry, mathematics, medicine, military technology, physics, textiles, weights and measures, yoga, zero, and more. They represent the work of scholars from many countries. Additionally, biographies of many well-known ancient Indian scientists are included.

Book The Scientific Edge

Download or read book The Scientific Edge written by Jayant V Narlikar and published by Penguin UK. This book was released on 2003-08-04 with total page 263 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: India has a rich history of scientific accomplishments. In the fifth century, nearly one millennium before Copernicus, the Indian astronomer and mathematician Aryabhata theorized that the earth spins on its axis. Likewise, in the twentieth century physicist Meghnad Saha’s ionization equation opened the door to stellar astrophysics. But India’s scientific achievements have occurred as flashes of brilliance rather than as a clear trajectory of progress. So how did India, with its historic university system and excellent observatories, lose its scientific edge? Cosmologist, founder director of the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics, and science fiction author Jayant V. Narlikar tracks the highs and lows of Indian science across the millennia, distinguishing fact from fiction. Through a lively narrative of breakthroughs and failures, he explores the glories of India’s scientific advances and questions the more fanciful so-called discoveries. His essays are invigorated by his excitement for new findings, and he argues passionately for preserving the true scientific temperament instead of granting legitimacy to such pseudosciences as astrology. Above all, Narlikar raises issues that both the layperson and the scientist need to consider as India seeks to lead the world in information technology and biotechnology.

Book Decoding the Vedic System of Knowledge

Download or read book Decoding the Vedic System of Knowledge written by Henry Romano and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2022-08-23 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of the oldest libraries of texts in India is the Vedas. Vedic texts are painstakingly corrected by the teacher. Instructors and students still teach them orally today. Virtual classrooms have allowed females to learn the Vedas and how they were changed through technology. Samaveda has a much more intricate connection with Rigveda than the other Vedas. Because all its verses except seventy-five are directly drawn from the Rigveda, it holds great historical significance. The eighth and especially the ninth of the Soma book provide the bulk of its content. It is similar to the Yajurveda in having been composed only for ritual use since the verses are all intended for chanting during the offering ceremonies. Unlike those in the Rigveda, these stanzas appear in the Sama-Veda as if they were to be spoken or recited. Their significance is solely determined by their relevance to particular rites, removed from their context in the Rigveda. The Vedas have been the subject of voluminous literature over the centuries, written in many languages, including English. Due to their symbolic language, the Vedas remain elusive. Despite exploring every ancient Indian sourcebook, Shankara, Ramanuja, and Madhva did not write full commentaries on the Vedas. Vedas are enigmatic and ethereal, and this adds to their mystery. In contrast to the voluminous commentary on Upanishads, Bhagawad Gita, Brahma sutras, and Mahapuranas, Sri Madhva wrote a short Rigbhyasya. Sayana Madhava, also known as Sayanacharya, is the most common source of information on the Vedas. Vedic texts are covered in complete detail in this voluminous work, basically a literal translation of the Vedas. Those who criticize it point out that it ignores the Vedas' symbolism and the Vedic tenets' hidden meanings. It is for this reason that the Vedas remain inadequately illuminated. In addition, Vedic Sanskrit differs from classical Sanskrit, a currently taught, written, and spoken language. A widespread family of languages, the proto-Indo-European languages, is derived from it. It was used as a book of words by Ugatri priests who preserved and lost knowledge.ts who preserved and lost knowledge. In the various songbooks known as Ganas, which show the prolongation, repetition, and interpolation of syllables necessary in singing in European publications, when the words are given below the musical notation, the stanzas assume the moral character of musical Samans or chants.

Book excerpt: The ?igveda is the first book of humankind and the most sacred scripture of Hinduism. It also happens to be the most ill-understood book of our times. Despite the extensive study by academic and religious scholars, the purpose and meaning of the ?igveda and many ancient Hindu scriptures remain unclear. In this pathbreaking book, the discovery of the ?igveda as a book of ancient cosmology is described, and related to the seals of ancient Indus Valley Civilization, thereby challenging our perception of humanity."The Vedas have always been lauded as containing the secrets of cosmogenesis. Raja Roy in his remarkable book shows how this is true not only from the yogic vison but according to the latest insights of modern physics. The book takes the reader on a vast panoramic journey through the universe of matter, mind and human history as well."David Frawley (Vamadeva Shastri), Director, American Institute of Vedic Studies"Roy presents a new framework for the understanding of the Vedic hymns from the point of view of physics and then he draws parallels with recent theories on the nature of the universe. We celebrate the new path he has hewn through the bush of old scholarship."Professor Subhash Kak, Oklahoma State University

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The present volume on Vedic Physics by Keshav Dev Verma is indeed a unique attempt to interpret the ancient Indian literature by defining various symbols, concepts and terminology occurring in Vedic hymns and other texts. While accepting Maharsi Dayananda's view that Vedas are the repository of all true sciences, the author does examine this statement with a view to test it on the hard rock of truth. Shri Verma has selected the Sankhya-Patanjala system that explains the physical world (Universe) on the basis of Cosmic evolution; the Vaisesika-Nyaya expounds the methodology and elaborates the concepts of physics, chemistry and mechanics. Shri Verma has very systematically tried to interpret the Sankhya aphorisms and concludes that the ultimate ground to which the manifested world can be traced is Prakrti having three attributes-Sattva (existence), energy at rest or Rajas (energy that which is efficient in a phenomenon and is characterised by a tendency to move and overcome any resistance) and Tamas (mass or inertia) which resists the Rajas to do work and also resists Sattva from conscious manifestation.
