Book Be Not Weary in Well Doing

Download or read book Be Not Weary in Well Doing written by Sarah Bell and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2015-10-22 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I often cry when I read parts of my book. Sometimes it was so difficult and I loved the kids so much. This is far from a “How To” book. I had no qualifications in child raising. I just wanted single parents to know that they are not alone, and to offer lots of encouragement and love. Raising well loved, healthy children is a great challenge for even two parents who are strong and love each other. Raising children as a single parent can be an overwhelming task. I felt compelled to write this book to tell you that you can do it. I made many mistakes, but somewhere, somehow something worked, and I have two wonderful kids who make me proud to be their mother. We had very little money, but we had so much love. Together we made it happen. We grew together, we worked together, we snuggled and read for hours together. Raising kids is like planting a garden. We sow the seeds and we water with lots of love. One day we reap what we have sown and we are blessed to see the wonderful adults our children have become. I wrote this book to encourage you to be not weary in well doing. Do not despair. Love your children and create a loving environment. Do not hesitate to put your dreams aside temporarily. Your time will come and it will be special because your own child may be your best support and encouragement.

Book Another Way

  • Author : Kevin Brown
  • Publisher : Wipf and Stock Publishers
  • Release : 2012-02-06
  • ISBN : 1630875686

Book excerpt: Like many young Christians, Kevin Brown had what he believed to be a strong faith, one that provided answers to all the questions he had and might encounter. He even attended a Christian college and considered becoming a youth minister. While there, though, he began having doubts about his faith, began asking questions that came from discussions both in and out of the classroom--questions he couldn't find answers to. When the church told him he shouldn't be asking those questions, he left the church and his faith behind. He kept asking questions, though, and kept looking for a faith that would allow him to have questions and doubts, yet still believe. What he found may offer an answer to the religious divide in our society--one that separates evangelical from progressive Christians, one that separates sacred from secular. In this memoir, Brown describes his spiritual journey from his first faith to the loss of faith to the way he found back to a Christianity where he can ask those questions, a different way than he knew before. He still has questions and doubts, but he also has faith, in spite of and because of those questions and doubts.

Will Dominic succeed in helping his young and vulnerable brother through the disillusionment of his first brush with romance, or will he be forever slightly scarred by it? And most importantly, how will Tish, the adored youngest child, handle the constant study and huge diversity of her chosen course, and the harassment of a few jealous students in the Academy?
