Book Structural Pattern Analysis

Download or read book Structural Pattern Analysis written by Roger Mohr and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 1990 with total page 278 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book contains a selection of 14 papers presented at the workshop organised by the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR) Technical Committee on Syntactical and Structural Pattern Recognition, at Pont- -Mousson, 1988. These papers which have been expanded, focus on both fundamental aspects and applications. They show that structural methods are a good framework for integrating both symbolic and numerical knowledge for modeling, recognition and also learning. The applications described are on document analysis, speech and image analysis.

Book Multisensor Fusion for Computer Vision

Download or read book Multisensor Fusion for Computer Vision written by J. K. Aggarwal and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-06-29 with total page 449 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume contains revised papers based on contributions to the NATO Advanced Research Workshop on Multisensor Fusion for Computer Vision, held in Grenoble, France, in June 1989. The 24 papers presented here cover a broad range of topics, including the principles and issues in multisensor fusion, information fusion for navigation, multisensor fusion for object recognition, network approaches to multisensor fusion, computer architectures for multi sensor fusion, and applications of multisensor fusion. The participants met in the beautiful surroundings of Mont Belledonne in Grenoble to discuss their current work in a setting conducive to interaction and the exchange of ideas. Each participant is a recognized leader in his or her area in the academic, governmental, or industrial research community. The workshop focused on techniques for the fusion or integration of sensor information to achieve the optimum interpretation of a scene. Several participants presented novel points of view on the integration of information. The 24 papers presented in this volume are based on those collected by the editor after the workshop, and reflect various aspects of our discussions. The papers are organized into five parts, as follows.

  • Pages : 624 pages

Download or read book BMVC92 written by David Hogg and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 624 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book contains the 61 papers that were accepted for presenta tion at the 1992 British Machine Vision Conference. Together they provide a snapshot of current machine vision research throughout the UK in 24 different institutions. There are also several papers from vision groups in the rest of Europe, North America and Australia. At the start of the book is an invited paper from the first keynote speaker, Robert Haralick. The quality of papers submitted to the conference was very high and the programme committee had a hard task selecting around half for presentation at the meeting and inclusion in these proceedings. It is a positive feature of the annual BMV A conference that the entire process from the submission deadline through to the conference itself and publication of the proceedings is completed in under 5 months. My thanks to members of the programme committee for their essential contribution to the success of the conference and to Roger Boyle, Charlie Brown, Nick Efford and Sue Nemes for their excellent local organisation and administration of the conference at the University of Leeds.
