Conventional subsea completions featuring both non TFL and TFL are proposed herein for subsea control of a presently drilled production well (called thereafter Well 79). For the Well 78, which includes a 7" production casing equipped with a 5" linear, three solutions are proposed: - a 4" x 2" master valve block allowing the well to produce vertically through the completion riser. This solution allows the well to be put on stream most rapidly and offers a very low profile. - a 4" x 2" production tree allowing both production through the completion riser initially and then production to a subsea manifold, via sea bottom flowlines, - a 2" x 2"x 2" production tree allowing TFL servicing down to the subsurface safety valve. Book excerpt: There is a growing concern over the ubiquitous distribution of plastic pollution that is evolving in the Beaufort Gyre in the Arctic Ocean, prompting international collaboration and new environmental measures. Marine pollution is recognised as an immediate threat to both land and marine ecosystems. Satellites have proven useful in identifying ocean plastic patches and current movements in other oceans but little research has been applied to the Arctic, a region that impacts eight countries making up the Arctic Circle. This interdisciplinary team project investigates the use of Sentinel-2, Sentinel-6, Fourier-Transform Spectroscopy, stratospheric balloons and autonomous underwater vehicles to provide an integrated strategy, including communication and outreach, to tackling marine plastic pollution while recognizing that it is necessary to also prevent plastics from entering the ocean in the first place.
