This book was released on 2023-03-15 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 1. Crisis in Theology, Crisis in Society, Crisis in Economy! Crisis in politics, Crisis in migrations, Crisis through wars, the whole Species Sapiens in crisis without end… But we, in individuality and in community, as human being, we are fully indebted to the Species Sapiens, with no exemption… What is to be done in times of multi-crisis?... ...Will we find through this titanic spirit of daring belonging to Species Sapiens, Sapiens as the essence of its birth and becoming, an answer to the great enigmas that surround us from all parts of our planetary system, our solar system or our galactic system, condensed into meanings in the great mysteries of origins and becoming, of the Universe, of the Solar System and of the Species Sapiens, namely: Where do we come from? Who are we? Where are we heading? What is Sapiens? 2. Drama , Drama, Drama… ...Will we be able to rethink the universe that seems endless and full of misunderstandings, starting with its supposed origin from the Big Bang (Biggest Bang, as a possible birth from itself), with its subsequent becoming through stars, galaxies, solar systems and planetary systems, as well as through this set of Conceptological Philosophies, or Anthropological Philosophies or Sapientological or Anthropo-Sapientological Philosophies, which illuminate and re-illuminate abysses and labyrinths, archetypes and unknowns, uncertainties and mysteries, both terrestrial and celestial, astral and infra-uncontained expanses of cellular and sub-cellular spatiality and infra-temporalities, atomic, subatomic, ionic or molecular?.. 3. Difficulties, Difficulties, Difficulties… ... Will we manage to rewrite through the triad of Point – Line – Surface, the whole written and transcribed by the thinking and revolting Species, through our philosophical system of conceptualism in motion and re-stirring, of conceptualism in becoming / returning, of conceptualism in startling and enrichment, of conceptualism in organization and self-organization, of conceptualism in replication and self-replication, as a redetermination of Individual Self, Sapiens Self and Universal Self, all three sharing in the same Great Unknown that we cannot know the Absolute, and which is perhaps in the depths deeper than us? 4. Weaknesses, Weaknesses, Weaknesses… …Will we thus withdraw a new vision into Sapiens by the very attempt to overcome and restructure it through its own decoding and re-axiality, even in the extremely austere conditions of viral pandemics (possible revelation of a divine sign? Or an astral pathology?), in fact a pathology of our entire Species, both biological and ontological, axiological and epistemological, as a self-revelation of our own fragility and vulnerability in its entirety biologically and bio-ontologically?... 5. Confusions, Confusions, Confusions… ...Will we be able to revitalize or even transgress a writer or re-writer, a thinker and a re-thinker, towards a bolder of all breaking levels from the horizons of knowledge and abstract constructions in Sapiens, approaching the very unknown-his instincts, which carry us imprinted with mystery and magic, miracles and mythologies, through the oceans of thirsty cosmologies?... 6. Misunderstanding, Misunderstanding, Misunderstanding… ...With these decided extra-ambitions, extra-mobilizations and extra-determinations, let us proceed in a prophetic and messianic rush and possible alienation, which by alienating us as a Species, and possibly as an individual, but this one can Re-Sapientize us into the same Sapiens, which is different and imperishable, recognizing our own temporality, as an ineluctable fragment of eternity, torn apart and withdrawn into our own frailties and vulnerabilities by the Sapient-into-Selfness... 7. Fragilities, Fragilities, Fragilities… Through the present approach from SAPIENTOCHRISTIANITY REBUILD - 1, of the origins and evolutions of human religions, converging in a Sapientology of the SapientoHuman Species, an attempt is made to withdraw a conceptological ideal, a CAUSAL NOVUM in history that regards itself, a CAUSAL LOGOS in the conceptological that rethinks itself, through which the illuminative and the contemplative become their mutual chain of universe and becoming, of revelation and rationality, reborn within the same the endless diversities and complexities of the world... 8. Vulnerabilities, Vulnerabilities, Vulnerabilities… In order to know ourselves better, we must face and confront ourselves, in knowledge and faith, in revelation and reason, as if intertwining them with our individualized and generalized self in the wise, to attack the very transfigurations that precede us, which presents and predestines us the futures of lights, mysteries and mythologies, all being substantiated in their very genesis and becoming, preserving itself, reviving itself and endlessly enriching the corollas of wonders of the sapient and post-sapient worlds... 9. Disasters, Disasters, Disasters… ...Further, more extensive, more deeper, we finally attempt an integration of Homo Religiosus into Homo Anthropos and Homo Sapiens, through which the monolithic duality of Evolution of Genus (Homo) and Species (Sapiens) will be anthropologized, sapientologized and theologized, in the same conceptual sense of differentiation and selection, in the same sense of evolutionary and creative uniqueness and singular unity and unitudness of Sapiens... 10. Troubles, Troubles, Troubles… Also, we try to date the described events as accurately as possible, with their historical-geographic location and correlated with the personalities of the time in the Roman Empire, all in terms of credibility and truthfulness, conditions that were not fulfilled in the Old Testament, raising many question marks about the events related... 11. Plights, Plights, Plights… As a conclusion in ANTHROPOSAPIENTIC THEOLOGISM, the final chapter will benefit from a VIDEOLOGIZED TEXT, with both scientific and religious pre-existences, as synthesis of EPISTEMOLOGICAL CHRISTIANITY, or CHRISTIANITY OF RATIONAL REVELATION, in which Science and Faith are intertwined in the human who has become a Sapient Human Being… 12. Critical History, Critical Sapiens, Critical Christianity… These twelve apostles of crisis, these twelve angels of difficulties, these twelve preachers of fragilities, these twelve prophets of confusions, these twelve teachers of unrealities, these twelve sages of utopian history, these twelve soothsayers of endlessly plights, these twelve rhetoric of dys-stressing of humanity, all will be analysed in our set of classical books, of virtual books and video-books called SAPIENTOCHRISTIANITY REBUILD, with number one, two, three and perhaps, four… It is useless to add, that Sapiens will confront, will face out the Sapiens itself, and Christianity will confront, will face out the Christianity itself, by putting in and putting out the whole conceptological battlefield of our pillars of action, of contemplation, of praying, and of rebuilding both of them, for the history and historiology of Sapiens, of Christianity and of SAPIENTO-CHRISTIANITY in its togetherness… It is no need to emphasize that in order to alleviate, at least in part these dramatic developments in Sapiens and Christianity, primarily it is necessary to make an ENRICHMENT of Sapiens and Christianity, and this ENRICHMENT must change into a MOVEMENT, therefore an ENRICHMENT MOVEMENT / BEREICHERUNG BEWEGUNG, must be the uppermost goal of our radical endeavour in saving of what finally, could be saved!... Download or read book Shadow of the Third Century written by Alvin Boyd Kuhn and published by Pickle Partners Publishing. This book was released on 2019-01-13 with total page 928 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Shadow of the Third Century: A Revaluation of Christianity, first published in 1949, begins with the assertions that a true history of Christianity has never before been written and that the roots of the Christian religion lie in earlier religions and philosophies of the ancient world. The author, Alvin Boyd Kuhn, asserts that Christianity as we know it took the form it did due to a degeneration of knowledge rather than to an energization produced by a new release of light and truth into the world. In the ancient world, knowledge was commonly passed down by esoteric traditions, its inner meaning known only to the initiated. The Gospels, according to Kuhn, should therefore be understood as symbolic narratives rather than as history. Sacred scriptures are always written in a language of myth and symbol, and the Christian religion threw away and lost their true meaning when it mistranslated this language into alleged history instead of reading it as spiritual allegory. This literalism necessarily led to a religion antagonistic toward philosophy. Moreover, it produced a religion that failed to recognize its continuity with, and debt to, earlier esoteric schools. As evidence of this, Kuhn finds that many of the gospel stories and sayings have parallels in earlier works, in particular those of Egypt and Greece. The transformation of Jesus’ followers into Pauline Christians drew on these sources. Moreover, the misunderstanding of true Christianity led to the excesses of misguided asceticism. Overall, the book seeks to serve as a “clarion call to the modern world to return to the primitive Christianity which the founder of Christian theology, Augustine, proclaimed had been the true religion of all humanity.” With its many citations from earlier works, Shadow of the Third Century also serves as a bibliographic introduction to alternative histories of Christianity.

Book excerpt: In this dark fantasy sequel to Winter Tide, siblings in Cold War America look to rebuild their New England community only to find mystery and danger. A finalist for the Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel and the Dragon Award for Best Fantasy Novel Ruthanna Emrys’s Innsmouth Legacy, which began with Winter Tide and continues with Deep Roots, confronts H. P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos head-on, boldly upturning his fear of the unknown with a heart-warming story of found family, acceptance, and perseverance in the face of human cruelty and the cosmic apathy of the universe. Emrys brings together a family of outsiders, bridging the gaps between the many people marginalized by the homogenizing pressure of 1940s America . . . Aphra Marsh, descendant of the People of the Water, has survived Deep One internment camps and made a grudging peace with the government that destroyed her home and exterminated her people on land. Deep Roots continues Aphra’s journey to rebuild her life and family on land, as she tracks down long-lost relatives. She must repopulate Innsmouth or risk seeing it torn down by greedy developers, but as she searches she discovers that people have been going missing. She will have to unravel the mystery, or risk seeing her way of life slip away. “Wicked for the Cthulhu Mythos.” —Seanan McGuire on the Innsmouth Legacy “Deep Roots is a marvel of a fantasy novel, with monsters fighting for their very existence and a place to call their own.” —Booklist “I really like this story and think fans of Lovecraft will enjoy it if they don’t mind switching genres. It’s not horror and it’s not a particularly “alien” version of the Mythos but it’s still a very good take on Lovecraft’s work which I enjoyed for its own sake.” —Grimdark Magazine

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ecological roots of our toubled time are deeper than its economic manifestations. Anguished posterity will look back on this 21st century as the bottleneck century. Bottleneck: Humanitys Impending Impasse was written to show how and why three converging trends have put humankind in much deeper peril than is generally acknowledged. First, there are many more of us inhabiting this planet than it can sustain. Second, technological advances of recent centuries have made gigantic and prodigal our per capita resource appetites and our per capita environmental impacts. Third, even though, as the symbol-using species, we humans conceivably could do better at anticipating future circumstances and planning ahead, our evolutionary heritage together with unanticipated dysfunctions of modern division of labor have kept us too preoccupied with short-term concerns. People today are dependent upon a fantastically intricate web of exchange relations (the market). Even when functioning normallyand not in a collapsed condition, as currentlythis system of relations has a serious and pervasive dehumanizing effect not adequately discerned by economists nor sociologists. Recognition of and adequate adaptation to the deteriorating ecological context of human life has been impeded. Human societies (even our own) are almost certainly going to act in ways that will make an inevitably difficult future unnecessarily worse. Factors analyzed in this book have made people seriously averse to the kind and extent of cooperation our difficult future will require. Together with the basic trio of disturbing trendshumans having become so numerous, so ravenous, and so short-sightedthis has made the nature of todays human prospect far more dire than most policymakers dare admit. It tempts even the wisest and most civic-minded to seek or promote remedial policies that will worsen the real predicament.

Download or read book Life of Saint Cecilia written by Prosper Gueranger and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2013-04-26 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Church offers, in every age, in her Saints, Apostles, and Martyrs, brilliant examples of virtue, zeal, and heroic courage. While all are holy, there are still some, whose lives present features, at once so touching and sublime, that time can detract nothing from the interest which attaches to their names in every Catholic heart. Pre-eminent among these, is St. Cecilia, the gentle queen of Sacred Song, distinguished alike for her attachment to holy Virginity, her apostolic zeal, and the unfaltering courage by which she won the martyr's crown. The author has followed with fidelity, the ancient Acts of St. Cecilia, the authenticity of which the reader will find satisfactorily defended in his pages. For less important details, he has claimed the right generally accorded to historians, of receiving probable evidence, where certain proofs cannot be ob- tained. On such authority, he has, for example, assumed with the learned Bosio and others, that the virtues of our Saint formed the crowning glory of the illustrious family of Cecilia Metella. The recital does not terminate with the death of Cecilia. The discoveries of her tomb, in the ninth and sixteenth centuries, form not the least interesting portion of the work. The description of the church which was once her dwelling, and the witness of her sufferings and triumphs, brings those scenes so vividly before us, that Cecilia seems to belong, as all the Saints of God most truly do, as much to our own day, as to the period when she still combated on earth. We will not speak of the pleasure and instruction the author has afforded by his faithful pictures of the celebrated Ways of Ancient Rome, and the sacred cities of the dead, concealed in the holy shades beneath. For this, and much other interesting information, we refer the reader to the following pages, content, if, by our own humble labors, we have contributed to the edification of our Catholic brethren, and to the glory of Him who is admirable in His Saints.

Book excerpt: Presenting the basics of brand management, the book provides both a theoretical and practical guide to brands, placing emphasis on the theory that the consumer is a co-creator in a brand′s identity. In a world in which social media and inclusive digital platforms have increased customer engagement, the role of brands and branding has changed. The line between the producer and the consumer has become blurred; consumers are no longer the recipients of brand identity, but the co-creators, playing a significant role in shaping new products and systems. To help students better understand the basics of brand management, and the co-creation theory, the book includes a collection of geographically diverse case studies, including: Burger King, Lego, Lynx, Maserati, HSBC and Vegemite. The book is complemented by online resources for lecturers and students, including PowerPoint slides, journal articles, web and video links, and a selection of exclusive videos with a professional brand consultant.
