In his letter, Constable stated that he thought it was too far into the legislative session to complete the deal. Says If he meant this his opperations will be postponed untill next winter - you can best determine what steps ought to be taken in the mean time with the Committee. Asks Knox to forward an enclosed letter (not included) to a French gentleman at Fort Pitt.
