Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the founder of Arya Samaj was one of the great men of the nineteenth century. He was a pragmatic thinker, versatile speaker, Sidh Youg Rishi, rational debate and of course a par-excellence Vedic Scholar. Aurobindo Ghosh called him a man of practical spirituality and hence an ‘Aacharya’ in letter and spirit. An ardent crusader against social, religious and political injustice, he stood like a rock facing all odds he came across. The torch bearer gave a clarion call ‘Back to the Vedas’ and dispelled ignorance, Jahalat and mental slavery from the Indian society. This keen seeker of truth amalgamated the ancient Vedic thought with the modern scientific approach paving the way to the universal brotherhood of tomorrow. In brief, we conclude. ‘Rationality thy name is Dayanand’.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book entitled Ambedlar and His Writings A look for the New Generation : is based on the study of Dr. BR Ambedkar s work and achievements during his life time what he did for the Depresses Classes as well as for general public with the writings of pen. Since Ambedkar is still as inspiration, as innovator and a challenge for the Brahminical society till date they could not change the thought of Sudhras, because he worked in the Devanagari script of the Nam or God. To highlight the significance of his role in the Round Table Conferences by Mr. Ramsay Macdonal and domination over Gandhi and Jinnha s idea, is the historical progress in human history in the interest of common man not for Brahmins; and war against the Brahminical pollution to end them with scientific study of the Nam is Important for the untouchables as an idea of Neo-Buddha and Kabir of Dr. B.R Ambedkar, as Baba Gurinder Singh Ji Biaswale is an advance idea to check the Brahminical pollution including modern politicians who dominated the society without any reasoning and logic as a mafia rulers of the present society like Gandhi and Jinnha. Thus, keeping in view, the egocentric approach of Gandhi and Jinnha, this book gives a challenge to the communal forces that Nam has been established as threat for themfor the establishment of Nam Society i.e, Radha Soami or Chamar having the same meaning as an advance approach for Civilization growth as Dr. Ambedkar has given during his life time.

Book Sanatana Dharma and Plantation Hinduism Second Edition Volume 1

Download or read book Sanatana Dharma and Plantation Hinduism Second Edition Volume 1 written by Ramesh Gampat and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2020-01-06 with total page 427 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christian Missionaries worked hard to convert immigrants. Their first order of business was to denigrate Hinduism, designate Hindus as heathen, and disparage their culture, food and even attire. Immigrants stubbornly resisted, led by the tiny educated elite, including Brhmaas whom we call Brahmins. Conversion was a failure at least up to the end of the 19th century but picked up a self-generating momentum thereafter. The result is that the share of Hindus in Guyana’s Indian population declined from 83.5 percent in 1880 to 62.8 percent in 2012. The largest portion of the contraction was lost to Christianity. The loss notwithstanding, even a casual observer would conclude that Guyanese Hindus, at home and in the Diaspora, are a very religious people. Many of us do a jhandi or havan once annually; others do the more elaborate and costlier yajña, where everyone is welcome, once or twice in their lifetime. Most of us do a short daily puja – prayers, offerings, reading the stras and listening to bhajan – in our homes. An important, but perhaps unintended, way immigrants countered conversion to Christianity was an unplanned movement towards a “synthesis” that brought Hindus, regardless of caste or sect, under a “unitary form of Hinduism.” The “synthesis” began around the 1870s and was completed by the 1930s to the 1950s. Guyanese Hindus call the unified corpus of religious beliefs and practices that emerged from the “synthesis” Sanatana Dharma. Ramesh Gampat labels it Plantation Hinduism in this path-breaking book. The book argues that the brand of Hinduism practiced is inconsistent with Sanatana Dharma, called Vednta by the more philosophically inclined. Plantation Hinduism features an extraordinary dependence upon purohits (pandits), which has anaesthetized the Hindu mind and render him unable to think, question and inquire when it comes to Dharma. Rituals and bhakti have been degraded and turned into desire-motivated worship; devats have been misconstrued as Brahman rather than as limited manifestation of the one non-dual pure Consciousness; belief in the multiplicity of gods encourages image worship; and superstitions anchor Guyanese Hindus to tradition and mere belief. Plantation Hinduism is little more than desire-motivated actions, dogmas and superstitions. Absent is the idea that Sanatana Dharma is a spiritual science no less scientific than hard sciences, such as physics and astronomy. The central message of Vednta is the innate divinity of every person and the freedom to realize that divinity through anubhava, direct personal experience of Supreme Reality.

Book Bal Gangadhar Tilak

Download or read book Bal Gangadhar Tilak written by Ravi Ranjan & M.K. Singh and published by K.K. Publications. This book was released on 2021-08-14 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: About the book Bal Gangadhar Tilak Bal Gangadhar Tilak was an Indian nationalist, social reformer and freedom fighter who was the first popular leader of the Indian Independence Movement and is known as “Father of the Indian unrest.” Tilak was one of the first and strongest proponents for Swaraj (complete independence) in Indian consciousness, and is considered the father of Hindu nationalism as well. His famous quote, “Swaraj is my birthright, and I shall have it!” is well-remembered in India even today. Reverently addressed as Lokmanya (meaning “Beloved of the people” or “Revered by the world”), Tilak was a scholar of Indian history, Sanskrit, Hinduism, mathematics, law and astronomy. Tilak aimed at Swarajya (Independence), not piecemeal reforms, and attempted to persuade Congress to adopt his Purna Swarajya programme. This book is a comprehensive design to offer an in-depth analysis of the major, and rather disturbing, global problems in the human-centered, Bal Gangadhar Tilak peace-oriented framework. CONTENTS • Introduction • Educational Thoughts of Tilak • Tilak and Vedic Myths—The Matutinal Deities • Tilak’s Commentary on the Gita • Lokmanya Tilak : An Eminent Indologist • Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak’s: Views on Women’s Education • The History of Primitive Aryan Culture and Religion • Loyalist Agents in Indian Aristocracy and Early Congress • Swaraj—Our Birth-Right

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Through an analysis of the rhetorical strategies of those who have written about his life (his hagiographers), the book argues that the reporting of the experience of being in Swami Rama Tirtha's presence is a central feature of these hagiographies. The nature of the experiences of close disciples of the Swami as opposed to those of followers of a later period helps account for the radical changes in the portrayal of the Swami in the hagiographical tradition.

Book excerpt: A comprehensive, yet entertaining introduction to Advaita, the non-dual philosophy which provides a completely reasonable explanation for who we are and the nature of the universe. There are many self-help approaches promising enlightenment and happiness but most are illogical and lack any proven capability. Advaita has a guru-disciple tradition stretching back for several thousand years and can guarantee the sincere seeker a progressive path to self-realization. A 21st Century treatment of this ancient eastern philosophy, this book addresses all of the issues that are covered by both traditional teachers from the lineage of Shankara and by modern satsang teaching and Direct Path methods stemming from Ramana Maharshi and Krishna Menon. Topics are explained in an accessible and readable manner, using amusing quotations and stories along with an abundance of metaphors from a wide variety of sources.
