Download or read book S curit Dans Les R seaux de Capteurs Sans Fils written by Mohamed Lamine Messai and published by Omniscriptum. This book was released on 2011 with total page 116 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The emergence of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) open the way with a multitude of fields of research constituting the privileged seats of their deployment. WSNs consist of small nodes with sensing, computation, and wireless communication capabilities and expected to play an essential role in the upcoming age of pervasive computing. Due to their constraints in computation, memory, power resources, and its deployment in unattended and hostile environments, individual sensors are vulnerable to security compromise and susceptible to physical capture. Furthermore using wireless communications makes security a challenge in these networks. As a result, security must be an important factor to have in mind when designing WSNs. In this book, we present a study of wireless sensor networks, security problem in these networks, we present also a state-of-the-art of key management protocols, as consequence we propose a new protocol for key management.

Book Wireless Sensor Networks

Download or read book Wireless Sensor Networks written by Siva Yellampalli and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2021-09-15 with total page 346 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) consist of tiny sensors capable of sensing, computing, and communicating. Due to advances in semiconductors, networking, and material science technologies, it is now possible to deploy large-scale WSNs. The advancement in these technologies has not only decreased the deployment and maintenance costs of networks but has also increased the life of networks and made them more rugged. As WSNs become more reliable with lower maintenance costs, they are being deployed and used across various sectors for multiple applications. This book discusses the applications, challenges, and design and deployment techniques of WSNs.

Download or read book S curit dans les r seaux de capteurs sans fil written by Wassim Drira and published by . This book was released on 2008 with total page 55 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 2013 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book S curit Des Donn es Dans Les R seaux de Capteurs Sans Fil written by and published by . This book was released on 2009 with total page 173 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Wireless Sensor Networks have recently emerged as an important field of research. Due to the cheap network configuration, data collection in wide range and self-organization without infrastructure, these networks will be widely used in diverse domains such as military, environmental, health and industry. Security is an essential requirement for many sensor network applications. Providing security to small sensor nodes is challenging due to limited capabilities of sensor nodes in terms of storage, computation, communication and energy. Moreover, some WSN characteristics complicate the design of a key management scheme such as the vulnerability of nodes to physical attack due to the deployment in hostile area where the attacker can simply compromise any node and then reveal its security materials (i.e. keys, functions,..etc). An efficient key management scheme should offer a high resistance degree with limited/small key storage overhead and it must respect the energy-supplied constraint of the sensor. In this thesis we first review and classify the most of the up to date representative WSN key management schemes and compare them using three evaluation metrics. We then propose two new key management scheme to overcome the problem of trade-off between the number of keys stored per node and the resistance against the compromised nodes. The first, called A Tow Level Architecture for Key Management in Wireless Sensor Networks (TLA), combines efficiently two key management techniques. The second, called Hierarchical kEy management pRotocol for heterOgeneous wireless sensor networks (HERO), uses the probabilistic key pre-distribution. We then propose a mathematical model of the node capture attack impact on key management schemes for HWSN. Finally, we conclude this dissertation with some concluding remarks and highlight future work.

Book Mobile Wireless and Sensor Networks

Download or read book Mobile Wireless and Sensor Networks written by Amine Dahane and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2019-07-01 with total page 189 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Wireless networking covers a variety of topics involving many challenges. The main concern of clustering approaches for mobile wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is to prolong the battery life of the individual sensors and the network lifetime. For a successful clustering approach, the need of a powerful mechanism to safely elect a cluster head remains a challenging task in many research works that take into account the mobility of the network. In Mobile, Wireless and Sensor Networks: A Clustering Algorithm for Energy Efficiency and Safety, the authors use an approach based on computing of the weight of each node in the network as the proposed technique to deal with this problem. They present a virtual laboratory platform (VLP) of baptized mercury, allowing students and researchers to make practical work (PW) on different aspects of mobile wireless sensor networks. The authors’ choice of WSNs is motivated mainly by the use of real experiments needed in most college courses on WSNs. These usual experiments, however, require an expensive investment and many nodes in the classroom. The platform presented here aims at showing the feasibility, the flexibility, and the reduced cost using the authors’ approach. The authors demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithms that contribute to the familiarization of the learners in the field of WSNs. The book will be a valuable resource for students in networking studies as well as for faculty and researchers in this area.

This book was released on 2010 with total page 169 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
