Book excerpt: The Ruach Ha'Kodesh: Ever Present, What It Does & Purpose is book 3 of the four-part series on the Ruach Ha’Kodesh. We wrap up the idea of the doctrine of the Trinity by going to Luke 4:1, the account of YAHUSHUA being led by the Spirit into the wilderness. Then we address the notion that the Holy Spirit was not before Act 2. And we show through many scriptures that the Ruach Ha’Kodesh has been with us since the beginning of creation. We then demonstrate that each of us has been given a portion of the Spirit of Elohim as our breath of life and consciousness. It is also the source of anointing or inspiration to speak the “Word” or the mind of the Creator, as did John the Baptist, King David, and the other prophets. Lastly, we delve deeper into “what is the Ruach Ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit)?” specifically, what it does and its purpose. Remember, Ruach Ha’Kodesh is the Hebrew word for Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost. Some people have said that the phrase “Holy Ghost” makes them think of a Poltergeist, meaning a Spirit between the land of the living and the realm of the deceased. Many use this term but do not realize what they are saying; a “ghost” describes one who is dead and has returned. However, the “Spirit” we are discussing here has never been a person. The “Holy Spirit” or “Holy Ghost” is not the same; again, a “ghost” is something that once lived; it had flesh, whereas a “Spirit” never had flesh. YAHUSHUA never promised us a “ghost;” He promised us a “Spirit,” a “comforter.” what this book does is it tells us what the “Ruach Ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit)” is and what is His job. The Church world will give us one definition of what the “Ruach Ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit)” is, but it is different than what we read in the scriptures and what YAHUSHUA promised. The Messiah promised us a “comforter;” that would lead and guide us into all truths, all truths being something that he had already told us. We know the Messiah never said anything new; he only repeated what his Father said or what he heard his Father say. the “Ruach Ha’Kodesh (Holy Spirit)” is the “comforter” that is to lead and guide us through the Father's “Word.” The Bible tells us there are two categories of Spirits in the world; the Spirit of truth and the Spirit of evil; there is no in-between. The question is, which one are you operating under? We are operating under the Spirit of truth; we are showing you directly from the Bible, not from other ideologies, not Christian or any religious base, because we are not “religious” people. We are the true children of Israel; we believe in being led by the Spirit and what is written in the Holy Manuscript. The first time the word "Spirit" is mentioned in the Bible is in the book of Genesis 1:1-2, which reads, “1 In the beginning ELOHIM created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of YAHUAH moved upon the face of the waters." This was the “Spirit of YAHUAH,” and keep in mind there are different types of Spirits. Revelation 1:4 reads, “4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne." Isaiah 11:2 reads, "And the Spirit of YAHUAH shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of YAHUAH.” Notice the first “Spirit” mentioned is the “Spirit of YAHUAH,” which shall rest upon him (YAHUSHUA). There are many different types of “Spirits,” as you can see. We believe this is the same “Spirit” that is talked about in Genesis 1:2. As for the other “Spirits,” we do not hear much about them; in this book, we are going to focus on the “comforter,” the “Holy Spirit;” the “Ruach Ha’Kodesh.” The four-part Ruach Ha’Kodesh series helps provide the principles needed to understand YAHUAH better while discovering the truth. Book excerpt: Do you know what 1st Thessalonians 5:21 tells us? It tells us to “21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” It is with this in mind that this second book in the Ruach Ha’Kodesh four-part series intends to do. We will explain the differences between the two Spirits: The Spirit of Ha’Shatan. The Spirit of ELOHIM. We will show you how to keep the evil Spirit of Ha’Shatan from gaining access to our lives while we explain the ways and thoughts of ELOHIM. We then lay out an in-depth examination of the Trinity. According to the Trinity, YAHUAH exists as three divine persons who are identical co-eternal, co-equal, and power. This book will dismantle this belief and share the revelation of what the Bible is describing. Hebrews 10:5 tells us, “5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me.” YAHUAH did not get inside a body and come down to earth; He sent his Son as a representative to show us how to be righteous. The argument is not rather, or not YAHUSHUA is heaven-sent because the Bible teaches that He is. However, it does not teach us that He is YAHUAH; it also does not teach that He is co-equal in authority with His Father. The Ruach Ha’Kodesh (2), The Two Spirits, and the Trinity will help even the complete novice understand the truth that the Bible has laid out for the children of Israel. The four-part Ruach Ha’Kodesh series helps provide the principles needed to understand YAHUAH better while discovering the truth. Book excerpt: Many things happened at Mount Sinai, but in this 4-part series of books entitled, The Ruach Ha’Kodesh, we will focus on Mt. Sinai and the Breath in book one. The “Breath” is the “Holy Spirit” or the “Ruach Ha’Kodesh.” What exactly happened at Mount Sinai some 3,300 years ago? Was it a myth, or was it an actual historical event? By keeping our feet firmly on the ground and not taking leaps of “faith,” we will explore the many moving parts of the Ruach Ha’Kodesh. They fit neatly together, but it is not simple; we must follow each step and wait before offering a counterargument. Within this series, we have probably anticipated any questions that may arise about the “Ruach Ha’Kodesh.” We will start at the beginning by looking at the Hebrew word for “Spirit,” and according to the Blue Letter Bible Dictionary, the word is “rûaḥ (roo'-akh)” (H7307), the term “breath” is the same word. We find in the Greek the term “pneuma (pnyoo'-mah)” (G4151), meaning a current of air, breath, blast, or breeze. It also has an understanding of a “spirit,” Ghost, mind, or life. But what is this “Spirit” when we apply it to the masses at the foot of Mount Sinai? We could argue that all religions start when one or more people have an experience, and they share it with others who are willing to join in. However, what happens when “millions” of people, according to some estimates, are subjected to the same event? If you want to find out, consider scrolling up and clicking the buy now bottom. The answer is at your fingertips.

Book excerpt: Most Christians have no trouble believing that the work of grace by faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of our redemption. Why then should it be difficult to also believe that the Holy Spirit of God, the third person of the Trinity, desires earnestly to hold our hands and lead us to be established in the salvation that we have received. It shouldn't be hard! As water is life to the human body, so the Holy Spirit gives life to the spirit of man. When a man is denied access to water long enough he dies. If a lush garden is deprived of water substantially, it shrivels, dries up and dies. The Holy Spirit is the living water of life to the regenerated spirit of the believer. We believe by the Word of God that the Father is forever on the throne and that Christ our mediator is set at His right hand on high. But the Holy Ghost is on the earth, sent here to both seal and take residence in every one that is born again, to represent Jesus and to perpetuate the Kingdom of our Lord through the Church. He is not self-conceited; neither will He seek to draw attention to Himself. His job through us is to emphasize and proclaim the glorified Son of God, to dispense Spiritual gifts, and to prepare the living Church as a bride filled with the fullness of God and one victoriously ready to meet the bridegroom at His arrival. The Holy Spirit of God; the Ruack Hakodesh is the Father's love seal over us for His Son!

Book excerpt: The Spirit in First Century Judaism mirrors the growing recognition that the role of the Spirit in Judaism and early Christianity warrants further scholarly inquiry and moreover lays a cornerstone in the foundation of pneumatological studies by scouring the writings of the likes of Plato and Plutarch, Daniel and the Dead Sea Scrolls, as well as those of Philo of Alexandria and Flavius Josephus. Levison contextualizes the material both historically and literarily, taking seriously the influence of popular Greco-Roman thinking as well as Jewish exegetical traditions. Book excerpt: In response to Pastor John MacArthur's call for a "collective war," against charismatics, Dr. Michael Brown has called for unity in Jesus based on a return to the truth of the Scriptures in the fullness of the Spirit. As a charismatic biblical scholar and theologian, Dr. Brown responds to Pastor MacArthur's charges, making a biblical case for the continuation of the New Testament gifts of the Spirit and demonstrating the unique contribution to missions, theology, and worship made by the charismatic Church worldwide. He calls for an appreciation of the unique strengths and weaknesses of both cessationists and charismatics, inviting readers to experience God afresh, and he demonstrates how charismatic leaders have been addressing abuses within their own movement for decades. Dr. Brown speaks on behalf of millions who are not adequately trained to express in writing their own encounters with the supernatural power of God. - David Ravenhill I thank God for this biblically-robust, pastorally-sensitive, historicallyinformed, and graciously-articulated account of the work of the Holy Spirit in the church of Jesus Christ. - Sam Storms Dr. Michael Brown's Authentic Fire puts the brakes on John MacArthur's crusade against charismatics with irrefutable logic, extraordinary insight, Christ-like graciousness, and an undisputable handling of Scripture. - Frank Viola Michael Brown writes with clarity and courtesy as he confronts one of the most explosive issues among all those who uphold the Bible as the plumb line of truth. - David Shibley
