One can realize its vast extent of diseases, guiding symptoms and remedies. In its present compact form this book contains the maximum number of reliable Homeopathic facts in the minimum space. This book provides insight into the principles in homoeopathic practice supported by clinical references all throughout. An account of remarkable relief's from ill health and miraculous cures affected further justifies its superiority over other fields of medicine and the need for propagation of the nature's way of healing. In this scientific era of health consciousness, the time has come that for the treatment of any disease, which does not respond to any particular line of treatment, one must take a homeopathic opinion immediately. Often patients lose their early time going to one specialist to another helplessly, without permanent relief, and approach homeopathy only when other medicines fail.Homeopathy is an effective alternate to antibiotics in many infectious diseases, producing no toxic side effects and bringing about rapid recovery. Homeopathy has treatment for many of the infectious disease such as Sinusitis, Tonsillitis, Bronchitis, Pneumonia, Meningitis, Otitis media (pus from ear), Gastroenteritis (vomiting-diarrhoea), Dysentery, Urinary Infections, etc. Homeopathy offers wonder treatment for viral infections. To obtain the best results and full benefits of homeopathic science, one should resort to homeopathy in the early phase of sickness. Because of ignorance and lack of awareness in general public about the usefulness of homeopathy in all kinds of diseases ranging from Cold to Cancer, many patients approach homeopathy late. By this time the disease process advances to an incurable stage and homeopathy can offer little then, to the otherwise curable disorders. However timely given homeopathic treatment could be a blessing to the ailing humanity.Homeopathy is a near complete system of medicine. Homeopathy is not limited to certain diseases but is universally applicable to all kinds of diseases. It is time, when people must be made fully aware of the benefits and the scope of homeopathy in various day-to-day diseases. Homeopathy should be more and more made available to the benefit of ailing common persons, as it can positively help 90% of the diseases we have today. Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease that can affect people of all ages but often starts in childhood. This book is the perfect resource for patients and their families to learn, understand, and manage the disease. This book provides up-to-date information on the treatment of diseases, such as, Allergy, Tonsillitis, Phyrangitis, Bronchitis, Asthma, Diabetes, Thyroid, Uric acid, Piles, Fissure-in-anon, Fistula, Appendicitis (except gangrenous), Ear discharge, Vocal cord nodules, Polyp in nose-ear, Kidney and Biliary (small) stones, Uterine Fibroid, Ovarian Cysts, Warts, Corns, skin diseases like Urticaria, Eczema, Contact Dermatitis, psychosomatic disorders like Migraine, Asthma, Acidity, Peptic ulcer, Allergy, Ulcerative colitis, as well as gives unbelievably miraculous results in Asthmatic Bronchitis.Doctors (MD Homeopath) have compiled this list of the best Homeopathy medicines for these diseases for you. At the cost of being repetitive, Doctors have emphasized that this list of homeopathic medicines is not an exhaustive one, but is based on symptoms. They often have to use other medicines depending upon the symptoms of the patient. Nonetheless, these medicines can be called the best homeopathic remedies for that problem.

Book excerpt: Illnesses of the 21st century are increasingly different from those in much of the homeopathic literature. We are now faced with more patients presenting with autism, ADHD, severe allergies, chronic fatigue syndrome and multiple chemical sensitivity. Successfully treating these patients challenges the efficacy of traditional homeopathic methodology. If we are not achieving the successful outcomes our patients need for their diseases, we must ask ourselves: are we recognising contemporary obstacles to cure? In this, his third book in the 'Mastering Homeopathy' series, Jon Gamble, well known for his success in treating difficult cases, guides you through the innovative methods he has developed for treating his chronically ill patients. He describes how he resolves 'unresponsive' cases and reveals crucial obstacles to cure. Jon emphasises the importance of discovering the underpinning causes of disease. He sheds new light on treatment for people whose illnesses have defied all attempts at recovery. This practical book, based on clinical experience alone, is for practitioners who are looking for inventive ways to tackle their most difficult cases. JON GAMBLE has practised homeopathy since 1987. Previously, Jon studied Law, Arts, Naturopathy and Osteopathy. He is the author of the desktop guide 'Mastering Homeopathy' and 'The Homeopathic Treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, ' where he outlines his original work in this area. Jon has been Registrar of the Australian Register of Homeopaths since 2002. Book Integrative Gastroenterology

Download or read book Integrative Gastroenterology written by Gerard E. Mullin and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2019-09-27 with total page 464 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Digestive complaints have become increasingly common. Recent statistics show that gastrointestinal complaints account for nearly a third of all visits to primary care doctors and that nearly one in two Americans suffer from digestive disease. Millions more suffer from conditions such as migraine headaches, arthritis, mood disorders, chronic fatigue, asthma, allergies, and menstrual dysfunction, which are all related to a disorder in digestive health. Despite the evidence in support of integrative approaches to treatment and prevention of digestive symptoms, these approaches are largely overlooked in treating gastrointestinal disorders. Rather, treatment plans tend to be exclusively pharmacologically based and have appreciable toxicity. Integrative Gastroenterology, Second edition, is a comprehensive guide to helping health care practitioners understand and appreciate how to manage patients with gastrointestinal conditions integrating conventional and complimentary approaches. This text reviews the latest advances in science and research with regards to the gut microbiome, physiology, and interconnections between the gut and other organ systems. Coverage includes a diverse range of treatment methods, such as probiotics, meditation, massage, yoga, supplements, special diets, energy medicine, homeopathy, and acupuncture, as well as a special section devoted to mind-body medicine in digestive health and disease. In discussing unconventional treatments, the authors address many of the controversies that surround the remedies.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Women have made it clear that they desire a broader, integrative approach to their care. Here, for the first time, Integrative Women's Health weaves together the best of conventional treatments with mind-body interventions, nutritional strategies, herbal therapies, dietary supplements, acupuncture, and manual medicine, providing clinicians with a roadmap for practicing comprehensive integrative care. Presenting the best evidence in a concise, accessible format, and written exclusively by female clinicians, this text addresses many aspects of women's health, including feminine perspectives on aging, spirituality and sexuality, specific recommendations for the treatment of cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis, HIV, headaches, multiple sclerosis, depression, anxiety, and cancer, as well as integrative approaches to premenstrual syndrome, pregnancy, menopause, fibroids, and endometriosis. Homeopathic, Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine practitioners provide insight into the ways in which these systems manage reproductive conditions. As leading educators in integrative medicine, editors Dr. Maizes and Dr. Low Dog demonstrate how clinicians can implement their recommendations in practice, but they also go beyond practical care to examine how to motivate patients, enhance a health history, and understand the spiritual dimensions of healing.

Book Copeland s Cure

Download or read book Copeland s Cure written by Natalie Robins and published by Knopf. This book was released on 2009-07-22 with total page 351 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Today, one out of every three Americans uses some form of alternative medicine, either along with their conventional (“standard,” “traditional”) medications or in place of them. One of the most controversial–as well as one of the most popular–alternatives is homeopathy, a wholly Western invention brought to America from Germany in 1827, nearly forty years before the discovery that germs cause disease. Homeopathy is a therapy that uses minute doses of natural substances–minerals, such as mercury or phosphorus; various plants, mushrooms, or bark; and insect, shellfish, and other animal products, such as Oscillococcinum. These remedies mimic the symptoms of the sick person and are said to bring about relief by “entering” the body’s “vital force.” Many homeopaths believe that the greater the dilution, the greater the medical benefit, even though often not a single molecule of the original substance remains in the solution. In Copeland’s Cure, Natalie Robins tells the fascinating story of homeopathy in this country; how it came to be accepted because of the gentleness of its approach–Nathaniel Hawthorne and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow were outspoken advocates, as were Louisa May Alcott, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and Daniel Webster. We find out about the unusual war between alternative and conventional medicine that began in 1847, after the AMA banned homeopaths from membership even though their medical training was identical to that of doctors practicing traditional medicine. We learn how homeopaths were increasingly considered not to be “real” doctors, and how “real” doctors risked expulsion from the AMA if they even consulted with a homeopath. At the center of Copeland's Cure is Royal Samuel Copeland, the now-forgotten maverick senator from New York who served from 1923 to 1938. Copeland was a student of both conventional and homeopathic medicine, an eye surgeon who became president of the American Institute of Homeopathy, dean of the New York Homeopathic Medical College, and health commissioner of New York City from 1918 to 1923 (he instituted unique approaches to the deadly flu pandemic). We see how Copeland straddled the worlds of politics (he befriended Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, and Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, among others) and medicine (as senator, he helped get rid of medical “diploma mills”). His crowning achievement was to give homeopathy lasting legitimacy by including all its remedies in the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act of 1938. Finally, the author brings the story of clashing medical beliefs into the present, and describes the role of homeopathy today and how some of its practitioners are now adhering to the strictest standards of scientific research–controlled, randomized, double-blind clinical studies.

Download or read book A Century of Homeopaths written by Jonathan Davidson and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2014-03-22 with total page 215 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As the values of integrative medicine continues to grow, alternative points of view and treatments are increasing in acceptance and prevalence. Homeopathic medicine is considered an important root to this approach. However, contributions of homeopathically qualified doctors have long been overlooked. A Century of Homeopaths is a detailed account of the many homeopaths who have contributed to medical progress since 1840. The accomplishments of over 100 homeopaths form the organizing structure of the book - many of whom have been lost to history. The text describes the ways in which homeopaths have influenced medical practice, research and public health, as well as the seminal effect of homeopaths in the emergence of today's medical specialties and in social reform, thus providing insights to healthcare professionals, researchers, students and medical historians.
