Book Game Theory for Control of Optical Networks

Download or read book Game Theory for Control of Optical Networks written by Lacra Pavel and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-04-27 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Optical networks epitomize complex communication systems, and they comprise the Internet’s infrastructural backbone. The first of its kind, this book develops the mathematical framework needed from a control perspective to tackle various game-theoretical problems in optical networks. In doing so, it aims to help design control algorithms that optimally allocate the resources of these networks. With its fresh problem-solving approach, Game Theory in Optical Networks is a unique resource for researchers, practitioners, and graduate students in applied mathematics and systems/control engineering, as well as those in electrical and computer engineering.

Book Controllability of Singularly Perturbed Linear Time Delay Systems

Download or read book Controllability of Singularly Perturbed Linear Time Delay Systems written by Valery Y. Glizer and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-03-24 with total page 419 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph provides a comprehensive analysis of the control of singularly perturbed time delay systems. Expanding on the author’s previous work on controllability of linear systems with delays in the state and control variables, this volume’s comprehensive coverage makes it a valuable addition to the field. Each chapter is self-contained, allowing readers to study them independently or in succession. After a brief introduction, the book systematically examines properties of different classes of singularly perturbed time delay systems, including linear time-dependent systems with multiple point-wise and distributed state delays. The author then considers more general singularly perturbed systems with state and control delays. Euclidean space controllability for all of these systems is also discussed, using numerous examples from real-life models throughout the text to illustrate the results presented. More technically complicated proofs are presented in separate subsections. The final chapter includes a section dedicated to non-linear time delay systems. This book is ideal for researchers, engineers, and graduate students in systems science and control theory. Other applied mathematicians and researchers working in biology and medicine will also find this volume to be a valuable resource.

Book Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences

Download or read book Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences written by Wade H. Shafer and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 427 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences was first conceived, published, and disseminated by the Center for Information and Numerical Data Analysis and Synthesis (CINDAS)* at Purdue University in 1957, starting its coverage of theses with the academic year 1955. Beginning with Volume 13, the printing and dis semination phases of the activity were transferred to University Microfilms/Xerox of Ann Arbor, Michigan, with the thought that such an arrangement would be more beneficial to the academic and general scientific and technical community. After five years of this joint undertaking we had concluded that it was in the interest of all concerned if the printing and distribution of the volumes were handled by an international publishing house to assure improved service and broader dissemination. Hence, starting with Volume 18, Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences has been disseminated on a worldwide basis by Plenum Publishing Corporation of New York, and in the same year the coverage was broadened to include Canadian universities. All back issues can also be ordered from Plenum. We have reported in Volume 39 (thesis year 1994) a total of 13,953 thesis titles from 21 Canadian and 159 United States universities. We are sure that this broader base for these titles reported will greatly enhance the value of this impor tant annual reference work. While Volume 39 reports theses submitted in 1994, on occasion, certain uni versities do report theses submitted in previous years but not reported at the time.

Book Admissible Consensus and Consensualization for Singular Multi agent Systems

Download or read book Admissible Consensus and Consensualization for Singular Multi agent Systems written by Jianxiang Xi and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-09-01 with total page 285 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores admissible consensus analysis and design problems concerning singular multi-agent systems, addressing various impact factors including time delays, external disturbances, switching topologies, protocol states, topology structures, and performance constraint. It also discusses the state-space decomposition method, a key technique that can decompose the motions of singular multi-agent systems into two parts: the relative motion and the whole motion. The relative motion is independent of the whole motion. Further, it describes the admissible consensus analysis and determination of the design criteria for different impact factors using the Lyapunov method, the linear matrix inequality tool, and the generalized Riccati equation method. This book is a valuable reference resource for graduate students of control theory and engineering and researchers in the field of multi-agent systems.
