Book Right Writer Wrong Traits

Download or read book Right Writer Wrong Traits written by Varun L. Rupani and published by Notion Press. This book was released on 2018-11-15 with total page 88 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When your mother asked you to neaten up your handwriting, she wasn’t kidding. For, the way you write has a direct impact on the way your personality shapes up. Similarly, the way your letters curl on paper, the pressure you apply while writing, the sharpness of your strokes and other aspects of your handwriting provide a good indication of your current state of mind. Clues to your character are everywhere. From your choice of phone apps to your internet’s browsing history. But an aspect that reveals the deepest hidden traits of your personality is your handwriting. Each person on this earth is unique and a complicated mixture of both good and bad, which has been formed by his or her actions, mistakes, wishes, beliefs, ideals, etc. To say that a person is either completely good or completely bad would be naive. It is also important to realize when thinking about this question, one must understand that ‘good’ and ‘bad’ are loose terms that mean different things to every different person. So if a person did something that was perceived by you to be ‘good’, there is still the chance that another person might find that action ‘bad’ in accordance to his or her ideals and life philosophy. The good news is that graphology does not just reveal an individual’s hidden traits; it can also be used to modify and improve his or her personality if that individual genuinely wishes to, by using graphotherapy.

Book excerpt: "Thanks to Connor, Lev, and Risa, and their high-profile revolt at Happy Jack Harvest Camp, people can no longer turn a blind eye to unwinding. Ridding society of troublesome teens and, in the same stroke, providing much-needed tissues for transplant might be convenient, but its morality has finally been brought into question. However, unwinding has become big business, and there are powerful political and corporate interests that want to see it not only continue, but expand, allowing the unwinding of prisoners and the impoverished. Cam is a teen who does not exist. He is made entirely out of the parts of other unwinds. Cam, a 21st century Frankenstein, struggles with a search for identity and meaning, as well as the concept of his own soul, if indeed a rewound being can have one. When a sadistic bounty hunter who takes "trophies" from the unwinds he captures starts to pursue Connor, Risa and Lev, Cam finds his fate inextricably bound with theirs"--

Book excerpt: In this inspiring guide to achieving happiness and wellness in life, work, and relationships, a “go-to life coach for those in the know” (InStyle) reveals how to use astrology as a roadmap to success. For thousands of years, people have looked to the night sky for guidance. Yet these days it’s so easy to lose touch with the universe and the important direction it can provide. In The Signs, astrologer and life coach Carolyne Faulkner reveals how the ancient wisdom of the stars can empower you to get the most out of life. Faulkner’s method is not about nebulous predictions or fate. It’s about discovering the qualities, good and bad, associated with your natal chart—the position of the planets at the time of your birth—and using that knowledge to inform your decisions and relationships. Easy to use and designed as both an introduction for the cosmically curious and a deep dive for experienced spiritual seekers, this guide shows you how to interpret your chart, find balance, and reconnect with yourself. Consult The Signs to learn what to do when: • You’re an inflexible Taurus, resistant to change. (Create things. Even a home-cooked meal will heal you in wondrous ways.) • You live with an argumentative Aries. (Never fight fire with fire. Wait till your partner calms down to discuss your feelings.) • You have Capricorn influence. (Shed the need to conform. Structure is important, but it needs to be flexible enough to change as we grow.)

Book Your Handwriting Can Change Your Life

Download or read book Your Handwriting Can Change Your Life written by Vimala Rodgers and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2013-04-16 with total page 176 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When we purposefully change our handwriting, we introduce attitudes that can improve our relationships, give us the impetus to achieve and take risks, and simply bring out the best in us. This is because our handwriting is a reflection of our innermost thoughts and feelings. When we fall in love, survive a serious illness, or change careers, our view of life is dramatically altered and, as a result, our handwriting patterns change. Conversely, desired transformations can result from intentionally changing the way specific letters are written: * Stick to that diet by changing the letter T. * Avoid being overlooked for that well-deserved promotion by changing the letter G. * Reduce stress and cease juggling too many things at once by changing the letter S. * Overcome shyness or stage fright by changing the letter A. Included is an enlightening assessment test that identifies those personality traits requiring attention. Your Handwriting Can Change Your Life profoundly reveals that the key to making dreams come true is as simple as putting pen to paper.

Book Virtue Ethics for the Real World

Download or read book Virtue Ethics for the Real World written by Howard J. Curzer and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2023-02-10 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Virtue Ethics for the Real World: Improving Character without Idealization, Howard J. Curzer argues that character ideals seduce virtue ethicists into counterintuitive claims, mislead and psychologically harm people seeking to improve their characters, and sometimes become tools for exploitation. Curzer offers a theory of Aristotelian virtue ethics that eschews idealization and that harmonizes with common sense. To explain the many dilemmas of ordinary life, he allows that different virtues sometimes enjoin incompatible actions and even enjoin actions that conflict with duty. Curzer defends the doctrine of the mean, arguing that idealized traits such as unilateral forgiveness, universal civility, unconditional commitments, and unlimited generosity are not virtues. He shows that the reciprocity of virtues doctrine depends upon idealization and rejects it. When undergirding his theory, Curzer wears several hats. He is a eudaimonist when grounding virtue, a constructivist when grounding value, and a perspectivist (a la Nietzsche) when grounding virtuous action. How can people improve without aiming at an ideal? Curzer offers an individualized approach to character improvement modeled on contemporary medicine. First, diagnose each person’s character flaws. Then tailor treatment plans to each flaw. An important tool is a fine-grained table of the components of character, their failure modes, and corresponding therapies. Curzer provides the beginnings of such a table.

Book excerpt: Would you buy a house without seeing the inside? Would you buy a car without checking under the hood and taking it for a spin? Probably not. Then why is it that you will choose a mate without knowing what's going on inside him? Most of you would agree that love letters are a great way into your heart. But though your man fills them with sweet words and promises, do you know what he's really saying between the lines? Stop looking at the words and check out how he writes. Hand-writing doesn't lie. Handwriting is brain writing; it is frozen body language. Finding Mr. Write gives you all the tools you need to uncover everything you should know about your man, no matter how well he thinks he's hidden it. Does he print more often than not? If so, he is very direct and to the point. How he loops his letters, how much pressure he puts on the page, his strokes and his slants, how he dots his i's and crosses his t's, where he writes on the page--all of these will tell you more about what's going on inside him than his financial statement can. Finding Mr. Write is the compass that will aid you in your search for Mr. Right.
