In his will, written in June 1762, and probated in Hanover County, Virginia, in February 1763, he named twelve children. Descendants lived in Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Texas, Illinois, Ohio, and elsewhere. Most descendants spelled their surname "Glenn."

By 1871, family members were living in Bosque Co., Texas and Augustine McDowell Borders married Sarah Francis Jordan (b.1850 in Clark Co., Arkansas), the daughter of Elijah N. Jordan and Frances Fagan (b.1830 GA). Several generations of descendants are given.
