Book excerpt: When sitting down to write this book, E.T. Hudson said a prayer that Father God, in Jesus name, would help her understand the complicated book of Revelation. Then a dear friend began prompting her with questions of what this book is really about? What Is God trying to teach as he instructs his holy angels to give the writer, John, all this information? Let us begin at the beginning. When God was creating the world, Jesus was in God. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) “In the beginning was the Word, the word was with God, and the Word was God. ... All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made.” (John 1:1-3) “And the word was made flesh and dwelled among us and we beheld his glory. The glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and mercy.” (John 1:14) Jesus says ten times in this book of Revelation that He is “the first and the last.” (Revelation 1:4, 1:11, 1:17, 2:8, 4:8, 11:17, 16:5, 21:6, and 22:13) God began this story with Jesus and ends his story with Jesus. When we read Revelation with these scriptures in mind, it makes a lot more sense, and as we place each bit of information about Jesus from Revelation 1:1-22:21 in chronological order we have a complete story of Jesus’ life from Genesis to Revelation.

Book Hidden In Plain Sight A Study of the Revelation to John

Download or read book Hidden In Plain Sight A Study of the Revelation to John written by Uchenna Mezue and published by eBookIt.com. This book was released on 2015-10-03 with total page 310 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Revelation to John has been with us for about 2000 years and has been the subject of diverse attempts at interpretation. The Revelation as given is a vision of the end time work of the Son of Man and the sole purpose is to prepare humanity for that mission and offer them the chance to recognise the last Envoy of God when He does come. It is only with this understanding in view that the Revelation can be appreciated. All the promised messages for the end-time are now available to us and I believe we are in a better position to understand the message of The Revelation. Indeed, I believe that we urgently need to understand its message. The urge and pressure amongst all striving human spirits to unravel the mysteries of The Revelation represents this need. This study is not a substitute for The Revelation, but may be regarded as a call for a deeper study and hopefully an awakening to the need to experience the times in a more alert manner. The work is offered in the recognition that the Revelation is being fulfilled in this epoch and as such is a must read for all striving human spirits

  • Author : Frederick Christian Bauerschmidt

Download or read book Thomas Aquinas written by Frederick Christian Bauerschmidt and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2013-08-29 with total page 355 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Thomas Aquinas is widely recognized as one of history's most significant Christian theologians and one of the most powerful philosophical minds of the western tradition. But what has often not been sufficiently attended to is the fact that he carried out his theological and philosophical labours as a part of his vocation as a Dominican friar, dedicated to a life of preaching and the care of souls. Fererick Christian Bauerschmidt places Aquinas's thought within the context of that vocation, and argues that his views on issues of God, creation, Christology, soteriology, and the Christian life are both shaped by and in service to the distinctive goals of the Dominicans. What Aquinas says concerning both matters of faith and matters of reason, as well as his understanding of the relationship between the two, are illuminated by the particular Dominican call to serve God through handing on to others through preaching and teaching the fruits of one's own theological reflection.
