Book My Pain BIRTHED My PURPOSE My PASSION

Download or read book My Pain BIRTHED My PURPOSE My PASSION written by ,QueenDeborah and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-12-20 with total page 47 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: QueenDeborah believes God has blessed, anointed, and appointed her to write this second book; and it pertains to the mercy of God! How merciful God has been to her! Out of the relationships, QueenDeborah asked God, "Why am I writing books about this one?" The response was...there was only a step between me and death. (I Samuel 20:3) QueenDeborah truly does not know where she would be if God did not choose to have mercy on her! An epiphany God gave QueenDeborah was, "It's one thing for God to get and have one's attention, but when you have God's attention, that's a totally different case!" I have God's attention! "Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy" (Psalm 33:18). QueenDeborah is hoping for the mercy of God! One thing God showed QueenDeborah is that whoever has your heart has you! The word heart has two other words--h(ear)t and (hear)t! So whoever has you has your heart and therefore has your ear to hear whatever they say! It is time now to hear what God has to say! He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches (Revelations 3:22). So as you snap out of it, ask, look for, and expect the mercy of God! I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul, for I have sinned against thee (Psalm 41:4). But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up (v. 10). By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me (v. 11). God is a merciful God! Thou shalt arise and have mercy upon Zion [QueenDeborah]: for the time to favour her, yea the set time is come (Psalm 102:13 KJV).

  • Pages : 318 pages

Download or read book Love written by Anthony Walsh and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-07-05 with total page 318 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Love is a little word with a universe of meanings and has engaged people's interest throughout human history. The need to give and receive love lies deep within human nature. Philosophers, poets, theologians, sociologists, and scientists have all attempted to explain its exact origin, but is it an evolutionary adaptation, or a social construct?Walsh discusses that the nature of and need for love has biological origins. He draws upon Darwin's sexual selection theory to define the perceptions of love by infants through the process of experience-dependent brain wiring. He observes that mother love makes a child capable of loving and that father love makes a child feel worthy of love. He appraises the origin and purpose of romantic love in his discussions on sexual reproduction by looking at chemical and neurological responses to love and the influence of love on one's physical and mental health. With frequent quotes from literary masters like Shakespeare to orient one's scientific and humanistic understanding of love, Walsh goes on to explore various styles of romantic love, including monogamy, promiscuity, bartering love, and betrayed love; the effects of a skewed sex ratio on dating and mating practices; and the age-old quest for a perfect society populated by perfect people obeying the biblical command to "love one another."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the relationship between the Bible and the world of music, an association that is recorded from ancient times in the Old Testament, and one that has continued to characterize the cultural self-expression of Western Civilization ever since. The study surveys the emergence of this close relationship in the era following the end of the Roman Empire and through the Middle Ages, taking particular note of the role of Gregorian chant, folk music and the popularity of mystery, morality and passion plays in reflection of the Sacred Scripture and its themes during those times. With the emergence of polyphony and the advent of the Reformation in the sixteenth century, the interaction between the Bible and music increased dramatically, culminating in the evolution of opera and oratorio as specific genres during the Renaissance and the Early Baroque period. Both these genres have proved essential to the interplay between sacred revelation and the various types of music that have come to determine cultural expression in the history of Europe. The book initially provides an overview of how the various themes and types of Biblical literature have been explored in the story of Western music. It then looks closely at the role of oratorio and opera over four centuries, considering the most famous and striking examples and considering how the music has responded in different ages to the sacred text and narrative. The last chapter examines how biblical theology has been used to dramatic purpose in a particular operatic genre – that of French Grand Opera. The academic apparatus includes an iconography, a detailed bibliography and an index of biblical and musical references, themes and subjects.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In The Reason of Church Government, a thirty-three-year-old John Milton writes of his hope that by labour and intent study... joyn'd with the strong propensity of nature, I might perhaps leave something so written to aftertimes, as they should not willingly let it die. Even the young Milton, committed as he was to achieving a place in the annals of poetic history, might have been surprised by the strenuous efforts in aftertimes to keep his legacy alive. The fifteen essays that comprise this collection focus, from varied perspectives, on Paradise Lost, Paradise Regained, and A Mask, poems that have attracted sustained critical attention. Several consider shorter poems, such as the Nativity Ode, The Passion, Upon the Circumcision, and Sonnet 14. Some pursue issues of sources, authorship, and audience, while still others probe extant biographical records or reflect on the author as biographical subject. Diverse though they are in subject matter, approaches, and emphases, all demonstrate how Milton scholarship in the twenty-first century continues to be committed to not willingly let ting] Milton's literary legacy die. Book 36 Love Stories A unique collection of stereotype breaking tales of passion

Download or read book 36 Love Stories A unique collection of stereotype breaking tales of passion written by Himanshu Ranjan and published by Prowess Publishing. This book was released on 2019-01-17 with total page 365 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 36 Love Stories is an attempt to break the stereotypes that cluster around the emotion called love. Love has no one definition and it can't be limited to only one dimension of teenage love or conjugal love. It can be very ordinary, fleeting and yet a fragment of our soul. This 'anthology' is a collection of such short stories based on a common theme - Anything, any activity, any person or living being that/who makes life passionate and meaningful. To be all inclusive this book should be better named as Infinite Love Stories but isn't love infinite in it qualitatively? To ponder more on such questions - let’s embark on a journey to discover the infiniteness of love contained in our finite passionate tales.

Book Female Sexuality and Cultural Degradation in Enlightenment France

Download or read book Female Sexuality and Cultural Degradation in Enlightenment France written by Mary McAlpin and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-04-15 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In her study of eighteenth-century literature and medical treatises, Mary McAlpin takes up the widespread belief among cultural philosophers of the French Enlightenment that society was gravely endangered by the effects of hyper-civilization. McAlpin's study explores a strong thread in this rhetoric of decline: the belief that premature puberty in young urban girls, supposedly brought on by their exposure to lascivious images, titillating novels, and lewd conversations, was the source of an increasing moral and physical degeneration. In how-to hygiene books intended for parents, the medical community declared that the only cure for this obviously involuntary departure from the "natural" path of sexual development was the increased surveillance of young girls. As these treatises by vitalist and vitalist-inspired physiologists became increasingly common in the 1760s, McAlpin shows, so, too, did the presence of young, vulnerable, and virginal heroines in the era's novels. Analyzing novels by, among others, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Denis Diderot, and Choderlos de Laclos, she offers physiologically based readings of many of the period's most famous heroines within the context of an eighteenth-century discourse on women and heterosexual desire that broke with earlier periods in recasting female and male desire as qualitatively distinct. Her study persuasively argues that the Western view of women's sexuality as a mysterious, nebulous force-Freud's "dark continent"-has its secular origins in the mid-eighteenth century.

Book Benign Flame Saga of love

Download or read book Benign Flame Saga of love written by BS Murthy and published by Self Imprint. This book was released on 2013-02-15 with total page 223 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The attractions Roopa experienced and the fantasies she entertained as a teen shaped a male imagery that ensconced her subconscious. Insensibly, confident carriage came to be associated with the image of maleness in her mind-set. Her acute consciousness of masculinity only increased her vulnerability to it, making her womanliness crave for the maleness for its gratification. However, as her father was constrained to help her in becoming a doctor, she opts to marry, hoping that Sathyam might serve her cause though the persona she envisioned as masculine, she found lacking in him. But as he fails to go with her idea, she becomes apathetic towards him, and insensibly sinks into her friend Sandhya’s embrace, for lesbian solace. Soon, in a dramatic sequence of events, Tara, a suave call girl, tries to rope Roopa into her calling; Roopa herself loses her heart to Sandhya's beau Raja Rao, and Prasad, her husband’s friend falls for her. And as Prasad begins to induce Sathyam to be seduced by whores to worm his way into her affections, Roopa finds herself in a dilemma. However, as fate puts Raja Rao into Roopa’s arms in such a way as to lend novelty to fiction, this ‘novel’ nuances man-woman chemistry on one hand, and portrays woman-woman empathy on the other. Who said the novel is dead; 'Benign Flame' raises the bar as vouched by - The plot is quite effective and it’s a refreshing surprise to discover that the story will not trace a fall into disaster for Roopa, given that many writers might have habitually followed that course with a wife who strays into extramarital affairs - Spencer Critchley, Literary Critic, U.S.A. The author has convinced the readers that love is something far beyond the marriage tie and the fulfillment of love can be attained without marriage bondage. The author has achieved a minor revolution without any paraphernalia of revolution in the fourth part of the novel – The Quest, India. The author makes free use of – not interior monologue as such, but – interior dialogue of the character with the self, almost resembling the dramatic monologue of Browning. Roopa, Sandhya, Raja Rao and Prasad to a considerable extent and Tara and Sathyam to a limited degree indulge in rationalization, trying to analyse their drive sand impulses – The Journal of Indian Writing in English. Overall, Benign Flame is a unique attempt at exploring adult relationships and sexuality in the contemporary middle-class. All the characters come alive with their cravings and failings, their love and their lust. Benign Flame blurs the lines and emphasizes that life is not all black and white - it encompasses the full spectrum of living - Indian Book Chronicle.
