Book excerpt: Cette dissertation met en perspective les résultats de cinq recherches réalisées sur le climat d'organisation, les attitudes au travail et les régérences culturelles auprès des salariés de deux entreprises et de deux administrations du secteur public et privé français et gabonais. Ces recherches avaient pour objectif de mettre en lumière le climat d'organisation prévalent mais non exclusif au sein de ces structures organisationnelles. Ensuite, il était question de vérifier le lien existant entre le climat d'organisation et les différentes attitudes au travail comme la satisfaction, l'implication et la valeur accordée au travail. Et enfin, nous avons tenté de comprendre le poids de la variable références culturelles dans cette relation triangulaire climat-références culturelles-attitudes à travers le modèle de la médiation. S'inscrivant dans une approche du relativisme culturel, du fait que cette étude comparative met en exergue les salariés français et gabonais, les conclusions ont montré que le climat d'organisation prévalent au sein de ces structures ne constituait pas la seule variable susceptible d'occasionner les comportements adaptatifs chez les salariés. Ces comportements qui se manifestent par des attitudes telles la satisfaction, l'implication et la valeur travail comme souligner, dépendent aussi des valeurs que le salarié incarne et de celles qu'il trouve dans l'organisation qui l'emploie. Ainsi, la représentation du travail constitue une variable médiatrice pour les deux groupes de salariés étudiés. En réalité, tous les salariés qui ont une représentation positive de leur travail développent des comportements adaptatifs au travail comme la satisfaction, l'implication et la valeur accordée au travail
