Download or read book Repr sentation valuation et utilisation de relations spatiales pour l interpr tation d images written by Olivier Colliot and published by . This book was released on 2003 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book excerpt: High resolution remote sensing images allow discriminating between different objects that compose a scene. However, due to the large quantities of information it is difficult to differentiate the meaningful characteristics or regions necessaries for the description of the scene. Thus, the interpretation of these image requires the introduction of new tools which allows us to distinguish the objects of interest from the rest of the image. First we study the spatial relations which can be useful for the interpretation of satellite images. We focused on the following spatial relations: surround, relations between linear objects and regions, alignment and parallelism. For each of these relations we developed formal models within the fuzzy set framework, which take into account the semantics, the perception and the context of use of these relations. These relations were evaluated on real objects, obtaining satisfaction degrees which fit well with the intuition, even in the case of complex objects. Then we propose an application of spatial relations for higher level tasks. We introduce an interpretation system which is capable of finding the instantiations of an structural model in an image. The interpretation problem is described as a flexible constraint satisfaction problem. We proposed adapted propagation algorithms for flexible constraint satisfaction problems in order to cope with complex relations and to take into account the difficulties of properly detecting the objects in the image. We tested our algorithm in scenes containing harbors and airports and the results show the interest of incorporating this methodology in a more complete image interpretation system.

This book was released on 2014 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 2017 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Apprentissage de Donn es Structur es Pour L interpr tation D images written by Emanuel Aldea and published by . This book was released on 2009 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Image interpretation methods use primarily the visual features of low-level or high-level interest elements. However, spatial information concerning the relative positioning of these elements is equally beneficial, as it has been shown previously in segmentation and structure recognition. Fuzzy representations permit to assess at the same time the imprecision degree of a relation and the gradual transition between the satisfiability and the non-satisfiability of a relation. The objective of this work is to explore techniques of spatial information representation and their integration in the learning process, within the context of image classifiers that make use of graph kernels. We motivate our choice of labeled graphs for representing images, in the context of learning with SVM classifiers. Graph kernels have been studied intensively in computational chemistry and biology, but an adaptation for image related graphs is necessary, since image structures and properties of the information encoded in the labeling are fundamentally different. We illustrate the integration of spatial information within the graphical model by considering fuzzy adjacency measures between interest elements, and we define a family of graph representations determined by different thresholds applied to these spatial measures. Finally, we employ multiple kernel learning in order to build up classifiers that can take into account different graphical representations of the same image at once. Results show that spatial information complements the visual features of distinctive elements in images and that adapting the discriminative kernel functions for the fuzzy spatial representations is beneficial in terms of performance.

Book Digital and Social Media Marketing

Download or read book Digital and Social Media Marketing written by Nripendra P. Rana and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2019-11-11 with total page 337 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book examines issues and implications of digital and social media marketing for emerging markets. These markets necessitate substantial adaptations of developed theories and approaches employed in the Western world. The book investigates problems specific to emerging markets, while identifying new theoretical constructs and practical applications of digital marketing. It addresses topics such as electronic word of mouth (eWOM), demographic differences in digital marketing, mobile marketing, search engine advertising, among others. A radical increase in both temporal and geographical reach is empowering consumers to exert influence on brands, products, and services. Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and digital media are having a significant impact on the way people communicate and fulfil their socio-economic, emotional and material needs. These technologies are also being harnessed by businesses for various purposes including distribution and selling of goods, retailing of consumer services, customer relationship management, and influencing consumer behaviour by employing digital marketing practices. This book considers this, as it examines the practice and research related to digital and social media marketing.

Book Behavior and Environment

Download or read book Behavior and Environment written by T. Garling and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 1993-01-28 with total page 499 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Active researchers in the areas of geography and psychology have contributed to this book. Both fields are capable of increasing our scientific knowledge of how human behavior is interfaced with the molar physical environment. Such knowledge is essential for the solution of many of today's most urgent environmental problems. Failure to constrain use of scarce resources, pollution due to human activities, creation of technological hazards and deteriorating urban quality due to vandalism and crime are all well known examples. The influence of psychology in geographical research has long been appreciated but it is only recently that psychologists have recognized they have something to learn from geography. In identifying the importance of two-way interdisciplinary communication, a psychologist and a geographer have been invited to each write a chapter in this book on a designated topic so that close comparisons can be drawn as to how the two disciplines approach the same difficulties. Since the disciplines are to some extent complementary, it is hoped that this close collaboration will have synergistic effects on the attempts of both to find solutions to environmental problems through an increased understanding of the many behavior-environment interfaces.

Download or read book MRI from Picture to Proton written by Donald W. McRobbie and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2017-04-13 with total page 405 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: MR is a powerful modality. At its most advanced, it can be used not just to image anatomy and pathology, but to investigate organ function, to probe in vivo chemistry, and even to visualise the brain thinking. However, clinicians, technologists and scientists struggle with the study of the subject. The result is sometimes an obscurity of understanding, or a dilution of scientific truth, resulting in misconceptions. This is why MRI from Picture to Proton has achieved its reputation for practical clarity. MR is introduced as a tool, with coverage starting from the images, equipment and scanning protocols and traced back towards the underlying physics theory. With new content on quantitative MRI, MR safety, multi-band excitation, Dixon imaging, MR elastography and advanced pulse sequences, and with additional supportive materials available on the book's website, this new edition is completely revised and updated to reflect the best use of modern MR technology.
