Este libro brinda conocimiento sobre las propiedades fisicas del suelo e impacto sobre el cultivo de maiz, bajo una determinada intensidad de trafico, producto de tres sistemas de laboreo: laboreo con arado de reja y vertederas, con arado escarificador de cinceles y siembra directa. En este ultimo caso, la presencia de un suelo cubierto por residuos vegetales al momento del trafico, ha mostrado evidencias suficientes de un comportamiento de las propiedades fisicas diferente, como para merecer su estudio a modo de establecer el verdadero impacto del trafico sobre las propiedades fisico-mecanicas, bajo una hipotesis basica de sustentabilidad del sistema."
