Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Better Kind of Compliance Training Compliance training succeeds when you balance an organization’s legal responsibilities with the real needs of the employees who you hope will learn and change their behavior. In Fully Compliant, Travis Waugh challenges traditional compliance training that focuses only on the legal risk of failing to comply with a specific mandate. With an ever-increasing number of compliance subjects to address, such programs are unsustainable. Instead, organizations must design compliance programs that serve a higher, broader purpose and build robust, resilient cultures focusing on integrity and ethics learning. Optimal compliance programs are flexible and create real learning experiences that change real behavior, thus diminishing the chance of misconduct in the first place. This book connects the three levers of human behavior—context, habit, and motivation— to help organizations craft holistic compliance training programs that do far more than check a box. It identifies ways to pick up small but meaningful wins in turning around an existing compliance program or designing a new course, which can turn stakeholders from skeptics into learning champions. And it offers an eight-step road map for implementing your own compliance learning plan. With this book, you’ll be able to: Create behavior-based compliance training that generates measurable benefits. Make compliance training more engaging and impactful, not one-size-fits-all. Remain relevant as advances in technology shift compliance expectations in the years ahead. By putting the learner first, you can develop compliance that stick

Book The Challenge of CMC Regulatory Compliance for Biopharmaceuticals

Download or read book The Challenge of CMC Regulatory Compliance for Biopharmaceuticals written by John Geigert and published by Springer. This book was released on 2019-05-08 with total page 426 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Biopharmaceuticals (i.e., biological medicines sourced from genetically-engineered living systems) for treatment of human diseases have become a significant percentage of the pharmaceutical industry. And not just the recombinant DNA-derived proteins and monoclonal antibodies (both from the innovators and biosimilars); but now, an increasing awareness of the importance of gene therapy and genetically engineered cellular medicinal products. These biopharmaceuticals are being developed by many companies whose Chemistry, Manufacturing & Control (CMC) teams have varying degrees of familiarity or experience with the CMC strategy and regulatory compliance requirements for these challenging products. Companies clearly plan out the strategy for their clinical study plans, but frequently, the development of a strategy for CMC is an afterthought. Coupled with the complexity of the biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes and products, and this can be a recipe for disaster. The third edition of this book provides insights and practical guidance for the CMC teams to develop an acceptable cost-effective, risk-based CMC regulatory compliance strategy for all biopharmaceuticals (recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies, genetically engineered viruses and genetically engineered human cells) from early clinical stage development through market approval. The third edition of this book provides added coverage for the biosimilars, antibody drug conjugates (ADCs), bispecific antibodies, genetically engineered viruses, and genetically engineered cells. This third edition of the book also addresses the heightened pressure on CMC regulatory compliance timelines due to the introduction of expedited clinical pathways moving the clinical development closer to a seamless phase process (e.g., FDA Breakthrough Therapy designation, CBER Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT) designation, EMA Priority Medicines (PRIME) designation). The Challenge of CMC Regulatory Compliance for Biopharmaceuticals is essential, practical information for all pharmaceutical development scientists, Manufacturing and Quality Unit staff, Regulatory Affairs personnel, and senior management involved in the manufacture of biopharmaceuticals.

Book Safety and Environmental Training

Download or read book Safety and Environmental Training written by Dawn A. Baldwin and published by Wiley. This book was released on 1992-09-15 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Safety and Environmental Training Using Compliance to Improve Your Company Written with an insider’s candor, this easy-to-use guide gives practical information on how to implement, develop, or improve employee training programs in compliance with current governmental legislation. It shows how, in actual practice, compliance with training requirements can be designed to improve multiple aspects of a company’s operations. Taking a proactive stance, Safety and Environmental Training is the only reference of its kind which demonstrates proven methods on how managers can incorporate regulatory compliance into everyday work routines so that it becomes a logical, effective, and positive force in the workplace. Virtually all of the OSHA and EPA regulations impacting industrial safety and environmental health contain employee training requirements. The training task usually falls into the laps of human resource development professionals, safety engineers, and environmental managers, who often lack a full understanding of the safety and environmental regulations that they are supposed to implement. This book presents a practical approach to employee safety and environmental training that aids managers in improving operations while meeting the training requirements of many of the hazardous materials, protective equipment, hazardous waste, and pollution prevention regulations which impact both business and industry. Training expert Dawn Baldwin provides a self-teaching guide that lets readers develop, implement, or improve employee training programs. Very often a demonstration example will show how training can be accomplished during regular production operations, and incorporated into standard operating procedures, which makes the message all the more relevant and meaningful to employees. While there are a number of training books available, none presents safety and environmental training information in a more candid or informative light.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Corporate Legal Compliance Handbook, Third Edition, provides the knowledge necessary to implement or enhance a compliance program in a specific company, or in a client's company. The book focuses not only on doing what is legal or what is right--the two are both important but not always the same--but also on how to make a compliance program actually work. The book is organized in a sequence that follows how to approach a compliance program. It gives the compliance officer, consultant, or attorney a good grounding in the basics of compliance law. This includes such things as the rules about corporate and individual liability, an understanding of the basics of the key laws that impact companies, and the workings of the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines. Successful programs also require an understanding of educational techniques, good communication skills, and the use of computer tools. The effective compliance program also takes into account how to deliver messages using a variety of media to reach employees in different locations, of different ages or education, who speak different languages. Book Optimizing Compliance Training for the Waste Management Worker

Download or read book Optimizing Compliance Training for the Waste Management Worker written by and published by . This book was released on 1988 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Waste management workers are required to participate in special training mandated by a variety of Federal laws and DOE Orders; these include the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Superfund Amendments Reauthorization Act (SARA) as implemented by OSHA in CFR 1920.120, in addition to requirements for Hazard Communication, Radiation Workers, Respiratory Protection, Transportation, and Waste Generator training. The Technical Resources and Training program is examining the course contents and mandated requirements to determine how to best meld these requirements into a training program that will still fulfill all requirements but eliminate the potential for duplication of some elements in successive courses. This approach may not eliminate all duplication between courses, but it should result in significant savings in manhours demanded in a training environment which requires similar information to meet a host of regulatory requirements. The training matrix planned for Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) will be presented and discussed. 22 refs., 3 tabs.
