Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What happens when someone gets fired from their church? One day in the Spring of 2017, Pastor Kyle Isabelli was brought into his supervisor’s office at his church and to his complete surprise, was told “he wasn’t a good fit” as the youth pastor of the church and was fired from his job. This sent Kyle into a process of navigating being fired, dealing directly with the pain caused by this experience, and figuring out his next steps in life and ministry. Through this traumatic experience, Kyle prayed, read, sought wisdom and journaled, which in turn, helped him process his pain, regain his purpose and persevere through one of the most challenging seasons of his life. Over time, he’s realized that he’s not alone. Far too many pastors, church staff and church members have struggled immensely when they experience a church firing. So, he’s sharing his story and wisdom to help and encourage others as they are Refined by the Fire(d). Now, as a Senior Pastor since January 2020, Kyle has a greater passion to create healthy staff cultures and come alongside those in the Church, whether staff or church members, to help them process pain, regain purpose and persevere through their own church firing.

Book What Did Jesus Look Like

Download or read book What Did Jesus Look Like written by Joan E. Taylor and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2018-02-08 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jesus Christ is arguably the most famous man who ever lived. His image adorns countless churches, icons, and paintings. He is the subject of millions of statues, sculptures, devotional objects and works of art. Everyone can conjure an image of Jesus: usually as a handsome, white man with flowing locks and pristine linen robes. But what did Jesus really look like? Is our popular image of Jesus overly westernized and untrue to historical reality? This question continues to fascinate. Leading Christian Origins scholar Joan E. Taylor surveys the historical evidence, and the prevalent image of Jesus in art and culture, to suggest an entirely different vision of this most famous of men. He may even have had short hair.

Book Unapologetically Refined by the Fire of God

Download or read book Unapologetically Refined by the Fire of God written by Apostle Terrie' Smith Hill, PH D and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2024-09-12 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: UNAPOLOGETICALLY REFINED By the Fire of God by Dr. Apostle Terrie' Smith-Hill is a powerful exploration of how life's fiercest challenges can shape us into something extraordinary. Like the biblical story of Moses, who was transformed through the presence of God, this book dives deep into the spiritual process of refinement. Through the heat of trials, God purifies our hearts, strengthens our faith, and prepares us for His divine purpose. Drawing from Malachi 3:2-3, Dr. Apostle Terrie' Smith-Hill illuminates the concept of the Refiner's Fire, a process of purification that strips away our impurities and brings forth the gold within us. It's a journey we all must take, a spiritual trial that burns away the old, revealing a radiant, stronger, and more faithful version of ourselves. This book isn't just about the trials and blessings that come through them. Inside, you'll discover how God's intense, holy presence shines light on our darkest corners, confronts our fears, and breaks down the barriers we build around ourselves. In the heart of the fire, we experience the shattering of old patterns and illusions but also the quiet assurance of God's grace working within us. While painful, it's a process that is necessary for us to fulfill our true destiny. Dr. Apostle Terrie' Smith-Hill invites readers to take the first step into this fire, surrendering and trusting God's refining hand. Through the raw and personal revelations, she shares from her own life, she guides us into a deeper understanding of how God's fire purifies our actions and souls. Each page will challenge you to embrace the discomfort, to trust in God's plan, and to understand that the fire, while relentless, is also full of love and purpose. Through vivid biblical stories and personal reflections, The Blessings of the Refiner's Fire of God reveals the profound beauty of brokenness and the power of vulnerability. The fire refines us, but it does not consume us. Instead, it shapes us into vessels of honor, shining examples of God's grace and redemption. As we emerge from the flames, we are transformed, not by our strength, but by God's unwavering hand. This book is not for the faint of heart but for those who seek true transformation in their walk with God. It's for those willing to face the flames, knowing that through the fire, they will be refined, restored, and reborn. Take the journey, enter the fire, and discover the blessings waiting to be unveiled. The Blessings of the Refiner's Fire of God will inspire, empower, and forever change you.
