SA CAPACITE A TRADUIRE LA CONNAISSANCE D'UN OPERATEUR HUMAIN EN REGLES D'EXPERTISE ENONCEES DANS UN LANGAGE SIMPLE EN FAIT UNE TECHNIQUE TRES PROMETTEUSE. NEANMOINS, LORSQUE LE NOMBRE DE VARIABLES ENTRANT EN JEU DEVIENT TROP IMPORTANT, LA BASE DE REGLES EXPLOSE TRES VITE, ET DES PROBLEMES LIES A SA REALISATION PRATIQUE EN DECOULENT. CETTE THESE S'INSCRIT DANS LA MOUVANCE DES TRAVAUX ACTUELS SUR LA COMMANDE FLOUE ET S'ATTACHE AU PROBLEME DE L'EXPLOSION COMBINATOIRE DU NOMBRE DE REGLES. DANS UNE PREMIERE PARTIE, LES PRINCIPES DE BASE DE LA LOGIQUE FLOUE ET DE LA COMMANDE FLOUE SONT RAPPELES. DANS UNE DEUXIEME PARTIE, DES SOLUTIONS VISANT A SIMPLIFIER LA SYNTHESE D'UN CONTROLEUR FLOU SONT PRESENTEES. DEUX CAS SONT CONSIDERES : LA BASE DE REGLES EXISTE DEJA, LA BASE DE REGLES N'EST PAS DISPONIBLE ET LA SYNTHESE D'UN CONTROLEUR FLOU DE COMPLEXITE REDUITE EST A REALISER. DANS LA PRATIQUE, ON NE DISPOSE GENERALEMENT PAS DE CETTE BASE DE REGLES, AUSSI, ON INSISTE DAVANTAGE SUR LE DEUXIEME CAS DE FIGURE. UNE FOIS LA STRUCTURE DU CONTROLEUR FLOU DEFINI, LE NOMBRE DE PARAMETRES A REGLER POUVANT ATTEINDRE UN NOMBRE IMPORTANT, IL EST INTERESSANT D'UTILISER DES TECHNIQUES D'APPRENTISSAGE AFIN D'AUTOMATISER LA MISE AU POINT DU CONTROLEUR FLOU. LES PARAMETRES DE CE DERNIER (GAINS ET FONCTIONS D'APPARTENANCE, EN ENTREE ET EN SORTIE) SONT ICI REGLES A TRAVERS LA METHODE, TRES SIMPLE, DE DESCENTE DU GRADIENT. DANS UNE TROISIEME PARTIE, LA DEMARCHE PROPOSEE DANS CE MEMOIRE EST APPLIQUEE AVEC SUCCES A LA COMMANDE DE DEUX PROCESSUS MULTIVARIABLES : UN BAC MELANGEUR ET UN PROCEDE BIOLOGIQUE DE TRAITEMENT DES EAUX-USEES.

Book Commande floue de syst mes dynamiques complexes

Download or read book Commande floue de syst mes dynamiques complexes written by Bernard Demaya and published by . This book was released on 1994 with total page 176 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

  • Author : Pierre Bourdieu
  • Publisher : Polity
  • Release : 2013-11-04
  • ISBN : 0745646956
  • Pages : 398 pages

Download or read book Algerian Sketches written by Pierre Bourdieu and published by Polity. This book was released on 2013-11-04 with total page 398 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the late 1950s, like tens of thousands of young men of his generation, Pierre Bourdieu, having recently passed the agrégation in philosophy, found himself immersed in the Algerian war. Motivated by an impulse that, as he himself says, ‘was civic rather than political’, nothing seemed more important to him than to understand the Algerian situation and provide the elements that would enable others to come to an informed judgement about it. In extremely tough conditions and along with a small group of students, Bourdieu undertook a series of studies across an Algeria that was tightly patrolled by the army, leading him to discover the shocking reality of the resettlement camps and to analyse the mechanisms of destruction of Algerian society of which they were emblematic. To achieve the objectives he had set himself, Bourdieu had to carry out a genuine intellectual conversion, acquiring an ethnographic understanding of Algerian society, learning sociological analysis at a breakneck pace and inventing new instruments - both theoretical and empirical - that would enable him to understand the relations of domination specific to colonialism. These new tools also enabled him to analyse the nature of the crisis that the war had both produced and manifested. This unique volume brings together the first texts written by Bourdieu in the midst of the Algerian conflict, as well as later writings and interviews in which he returns to the topic of Algeria and the decisive role it played in the development of his work.

Book The Social Structures of the Economy

Download or read book The Social Structures of the Economy written by Pierre Bourdieu and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2014-03-10 with total page 456 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Much orthodox economic theory is based on assumptions which are treated as self-evident: supply and demand are regarded as independent entities, the individual is assumed to be a rational agent who knows his interests and how to make decisions corresponding to them, and so on. But one has only to examine an economic transaction closely, as Pierre Bourdieu does here for the buying and selling of houses, to see that these abstract assumptions cannot explain what happens in reality. As Bourdieu shows, the market is constructed by the state, which can decide, for example, whether to promote private housing or collective provision. And the individuals involved in the transaction are immersed in symbolic constructions which constitute, in a strong sense, the value of houses, neighbourhoods and towns. The abstract and illusory nature of the assumptions of orthodox economic theory has been criticised by some economists, but Bourdieu argues that we must go further. Supply, demand, the market and even the buyer and seller are products of a process of social construction, and so-called ‘economic' processes can be adequately described only by calling on sociological methods. Instead of seeing the two disciplines in antagonistic terms, it is time to recognize that sociology and economics are in fact part of a single discipline, the object of which is the analysis of social facts, of which economic transactions are in the end merely one aspect. This brilliant study by the most original sociologist of post-war France will be essential reading for students and scholars of sociology, economics, anthropology and related disciplines.

Book Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations

Download or read book Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations written by Sandip Mazumder and published by Academic Press. This book was released on 2015-12-01 with total page 484 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations: Finite Difference and Finite Volume Methods focuses on two popular deterministic methods for solving partial differential equations (PDEs), namely finite difference and finite volume methods. The solution of PDEs can be very challenging, depending on the type of equation, the number of independent variables, the boundary, and initial conditions, and other factors. These two methods have been traditionally used to solve problems involving fluid flow. For practical reasons, the finite element method, used more often for solving problems in solid mechanics, and covered extensively in various other texts, has been excluded. The book is intended for beginning graduate students and early career professionals, although advanced undergraduate students may find it equally useful. The material is meant to serve as a prerequisite for students who might go on to take additional courses in computational mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, or computational electromagnetics. The notations, language, and technical jargon used in the book can be easily understood by scientists and engineers who may not have had graduate-level applied mathematics or computer science courses. - Presents one of the few available resources that comprehensively describes and demonstrates the finite volume method for unstructured mesh used frequently by practicing code developers in industry - Includes step-by-step algorithms and code snippets in each chapter that enables the reader to make the transition from equations on the page to working codes - Includes 51 worked out examples that comprehensively demonstrate important mathematical steps, algorithms, and coding practices required to numerically solve PDEs, as well as how to interpret the results from both physical and mathematic perspectives

Book excerpt: This collection of articles offers a comprehensive assessment of the subtle but nevertheless pervasive economic infrastructure of corruption. It provides suitable core or adjunct reading for law school, graduate, and undergraduate courses on international economics, international relations and international law. American Society of International Law This exhaustive collection, edited by Rose-Ackerman, cannot be called anything but excellent. . . . Overall, a wonderful addition to the literature. Highly recommended. C.J. Talele, Choice Susan Rose-Ackerman is a world-class economist and an authority on the economics of corruption. This is a fine reference volume that every economist interested in this important subject will want to have as a ready reference. Jagdish Bhagwati, Columbia University, US Economic research on corruption aims both to isolate the economic effects of quid pro quo deals between agents and third parties, and to suggest how legal and institutional reforms might curb harms and enhance benefits. In this comprehensive Handbook, top scholars in the field provide specially commissioned essays, both theoretical and empirical, exploring both types of research. The Handbook begins with an introductory essay by the editor, followed by two chapters written by leading exponents of cross-country research. However, the focus of the Handbook is on research at the micro level, where policy can be made and evaluated. These microeconomic studies fall into several overlapping categories. The first group includes studies that link corrupt incentives to institutional structures, particularly the organization of the state. The second draws implications from surveys of households or businesses and from controlled experiments. The third concentrates on particular sectors such as education, tax administration, public works, customs services, and pharmaceuticals. Finally, two chapters assess corruption in the transition away from socialism in Europe and Asia.

Book Sketch for a Self analysis

Download or read book Sketch for a Self analysis written by Pierre Bourdieu and published by Polity. This book was released on 2007 with total page 129 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over the past four decades, French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu produced one of the most imaginative and subtle bodies of social theory of the postwar era. When he died in 2002, he was considered to be the most influential sociologist in the world and a thinker on a par with Foucault and Levi-Strauss - a public intellectual as important to his generation as Sartre was to his. Sketch for a Self-Analysis is the ultimate outcome of Bourdieu's lifelong preoccupation with reflexivity. Vehemently not an autobiography, this unique book is instead an application of Bourdieu's theories to his own life and intellectual trajectory; along the way it offers compelling and intimate insights into the most important French intellectuals of the time - including Foucault, Sartre, Aron, Althusser, and de Beauvoir - as well as Bourdieu's own formative experiences at boarding school and his moral outrage at the colonial war in Algeria.
