Book Rhema Powered by Faith

Download or read book Rhema Powered by Faith written by Julius Kola Oloke and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2012-11-01 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book you will learn the secret of how to limit your limitation through Rhema Powered by Faith. From this work, it has been made clear that faith starts from hope. Hope is what we can see. Our desire, ambition and different kinds of day dreaming are hope, but we need to process hope to become faith. It is also stressed from this work that the length of time that is needed to turn hope to faith - which can be influenced by man - is a period of probing for what to command. It can be influenced by how fast one allows the carnality in one's life to be reduced. In Isaiah 45:11, God the father encourages His children ..".concerning the work of my hands command ye me." But we all know that several commands that men make are futile. Why? Hope, which is our desire, ambition and different kinds of daydreaming are the different possible events in a life that have been encrypted in the individuals DNA with various imposed limitations. As individuals allows more light to accumulate in his heart and allows more carnality to drop off, the imposed limitations on some of the possible events become expired. As one identifies those events with expired imposed limitations by probing and aligning them with corresponding logos, it becomes a Rhema Powered by Faith. Any command made by any mortal for a possible event whose imposed limitation is yet to expire is futile and of no effect. So, the main essence of life is to probe out (search out) those possible events with expired imposed limitations and generate Rhema Powered by Faith. Welcome on board for learning on how to limit your Limitations. J Kola Oloke is a Professor of Microbiology and Biotechnology at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso Nigeria. He is a member of The Governing Concil, Ogbomoso Baptist Theological Seminary, Nigeria and member of the National Executive of Nigerian Baptist Convention. He is currently the Chairman, LAUTECH Chapel Council and the President; Trinity Partners, President; Trinity Immunoefficient Laboratories, and President; Alpha Biotechnologies. He is married to Olufunso Olanike and they are blessed with two children: Olakorede and Ireoluwatomi.

Book Devotional Experience and Erotic Knowledge in the Literary Culture of the English Reformation

Download or read book Devotional Experience and Erotic Knowledge in the Literary Culture of the English Reformation written by Rhema Hokama and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2023-02-20 with total page 273 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This study explores the way Calvinist experientialism provided both a theology and an epistemology in the poetry of five early modern English poets: William Shakespeare, Robert Herrick, John Donne, Fulke Greville, and John Milton. In both official church ecclesiology and informal devotional practice, the Reformation introduced the idea that an individual's experience of devotion did not only entail feeling, but also thought. For early modern English people, bodily experience offered a means of corroborating and verifying devotional truth, making the invisible visible and knowable. This volume maintains that these religious developments gave early modern thinkers and poets a new epistemological framework for imagining and interpreting devotional intention and access. These Reformed models for devotion not only shaped how people experienced their encounters with God; the changing religious landscape of post-Reformation England also held profound implications for how English poets described sexual longing and access to earthly beloveds in the literary production of the period. In placing the works of English poets in conversation with devotional writers such as William Perkins, Samuel Hieron, Joseph Hall, and William Gouge, this book demonstrates how the English Calvinist tradition attributed epistemological potential to a wide range of ordinary experience, including sexual experience.

Download or read book Not Do But Done eBook written by Alan Platt and published by Struik Christian Media. This book was released on 2016-03-01 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “We Start At Finish” unpacks the message of the victory that God secured for humanity through one incredible moment of triumph at the cross. Jesus Christ paid a price that was more than sufficient to reposition mankind to live life according to God’s original design for man. He redeemed our innocence and restored the glory we lost in Adam. The gospel communicates the desire of Jesus Christ’s to showcase humanity as a trophy of His grace! However so many good Christian people continue to live in a way that reinforces the conviction that we are responsible for our own salvation. Man – in his fallen state – is never going to get it right on his own. Performance based, two-faced, ungraced Christianity is debilitating. Our assignment has never been about what we can do for God, but what God has done for us. We really start at the finish. If you as a Christ follower are tired of trying to be good, worrying about eternity and earning your way to Christ’s love, this book is liberating. Discovering that you are not an after-thought in God’s mind as far as the gospel is concerned changes how you view yourself and places you in a new space of flourishing in the course of living.
