Book excerpt: In this sizzing collection from some of romance's hottest authors, you'll read four sexy short stories about women who discover that real men do it better... In Lora Leigh's FOR MAGGIE'S SAKE, Maggie Chavez from Leigh's sexy Navy SEALs series is in protective custody with a member of her former lover's SEALs team. Joe, her ex-lover, thinks Maggie is hiding information from him about a powerful drug lord and the deaths of some SEALs. He intends to seduce her and get the information before she can sell it back to the drug cartel. But when a member of the notorious crime family captures Maggie and holds her hostage at gunpoint, Joe realizes how wrong he is, and only he can save her life. In Susan Donovan's BED AND BREAKFAST, a stressed-out corporate dynamo with designer boots and a bad attitude is sent to the New Mexico mountains to "get centered" or not come back to Los Angeles. She arrives at the rustic Windwalker Lodge north of Santa Fe, only to find the place in the middle of a renovation and the hunky owner in a pair of lounge pants with no shirt and no idea she was coming. She plans to leave on the first available shuttle the next morning, but one of the area's notorious rains washes out the bridge, and she's stuck. Though resistant at first, she eventually lets the beautiful setting and the extraordinary man give her a new perspective on life, love, and especially sex. In Lori Wilde's SIREN'S CALL, Annie Grave is back in her hometown, St. Augustine, looking after her grandfather's dive shop as he lies bedridden with a broken hip. Though she is a Harvard MBA with a high-powered finance job in Manhattan and a boyfriend on the brink of proposing marriage, she's never forgotten her first love, sun-bronzed dive instructor Duncan Stewart--or the day years earlier when she lost her virginity to him and he told her it was just a fling. But what she doesn't know is that Duncan has regretted that decision every day since. Afraid of not being able to hold onto a smart, sexy, beautiful woman like Annie, he pushed her away and ran away from St. Augustine. But now she's back, and so is he, and he's cooked up a plan to win her back. After all, what girl could resist the lure of buried treasure, and a hot, handsome Scotsman to guide her on the hunt? In Carrie Alexander's HIS BODY ELECTRIC, an aloof stranger arrives at Karen Jaffe's farmhouse seeking shelter at the height of a violent lightning storm. Strange events follow--the power goes out, every clock stops, sparks fly from the visitor's fingertips. Alone in the dark with him, Karen uses her skills as a phone sex operator to seduce the mystery man, uncovering the secrets and erotic pleasures of HIS BODY ELECTRIC.

Book Raising Real Men

Download or read book Raising Real Men written by Hal Young and published by Great Waters Press. This book was released on 2010 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Families with boys often find the world reacts to them in mock horror. Even though parents love their sons, privately they admit that boys can be a handful to raise--they are boisterous, competitive, reckless, distractable. The challenge of wills between parent and son starts early, and the quest to civilize young bulls may seem hopeless some days. Yet believers know that God has given them children as a gift of heaven, specially chosen for their particular families and marked as a blessing. If that's so, why does it seem so hard? How can we prepare these boys to serve God when it's all we can do to make it through another day? Isn't there a better way? Raising Real Men: Surviving, Teaching and Appreciating Boys shows the answer is emphatically yes. Written by the parents of six boys, Raising Real Men provides hope and encouragement to families with sons. Starting from the premise that God made boys to become men, Hal and Melanie Young offer Biblical principles and tested, practical ideas for training the manly virtues that can drive parents and teachers up the wall. This is a practical guide to equipping the hearts and minds of boys without breaking or losing your own. "...earthy, realistic, humorous, and scriptural ..." -- Douglas Wilson, author, Future Men "This is just what the doctor ordered for parents who want to raise capable Christian men of character." -- John Rosemond, author, Parenting By The Book

Book That s What Real Men Do

Download or read book That s What Real Men Do written by Mikal Haney and published by Parker House Publishing. This book was released on 2017-12-11 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers some strong personal opinions concerning men's responsibility in our society; responsibility to insure all persons, most specifically women and children, are treated with the very same respect they give to men. There are suggested activities and behavior that in this authors view can only be characterized as beneficial to any and all relationships. "Love makes the world go around" but it must be communicated in loving, caring actions; communication without love only propagates our current imbalance for women and yes, one more time, there is a woeful imbalance. If you want to know what real men do then this book is a must read. Ladies, this is a great book to help your companion remember what's important.

Book Real Men Don t Play

Download or read book Real Men Don t Play written by Bobby Glanton-Smith and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2014-04-08 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the 1990s a troubling social trend emerged where men began referring to each other as "players." On the other hand, real men have been diminished and painted with the broad brush of suspicion and cynicism, in large part because of this growing fascination with "playing" in the urban landscape. Instead of positive male model that work hard, take care of their children and provide leadership in the household, too many young people are leaning in the direction of frivolity because of the absence of real men in their lives. Which leads to this question: what is a man supposed to look like, act like and be like? The answer to that question can be found in the pages of "Real Men Don't Play!" This insightful and inspiring book is a compilation of models of possibility; it includes real men from divergent walks of life that share common characteristics that define them as real men. Their individual and collective accomplishments are a recipe for living a productive life. The author, Bobby Glanton Smith, a native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, devoted over 10 years of his life to constructing an expose that illuminates his interface with some of the most fascinating and extraordinary men that have lived in his lifetime. Bobby has worked with NFL Hall of Fame member and social activist Jim Brown for over 20 years and proudly proclaims that Jim Brown is one of the inspirations for this book. The late Jerry Anderson, a childhood friend and former NFL player, is also featured in this book because of the profile in courage his short life encompassed. The late Sgt. George D Osborne, the author's first cousin, was a man as a child - and his example of responsibility and fortitude will chill your soul and elevate your spirit simultaneously. The genius of Harry Pickens as promulgated in "Real Men Don't Play!" will unveil the immense capabilities of a man who lives in accordance with his core beliefs and who mastered the power of thinking his way through life. Julian Mendoza's mastery of self-determination is a road map to personal and professional success. You will also discover by reading this book that Lionel Hollins is far more than a former NBA World Champion and highly successful NBA coach, he's also a man who turned lemons into lemonade as he navigated his upward climb from humble beginnings. Rick Perkins, "The Man with the Horn," found the strength and the will to defeat adversity and leave indelible footprints along his journey through life; Rick's example of fatherhood is uniquely inspiring and instructional. Sam "The Face of Boxing," has lived an incredible life and continues to raise the bar of human possibility. Few men of color, particularly African American men, have climbed the corporate ladder and remained socially conscience as has Kevin McDowell. Abdur-Rahim Hameed is a man of remarkable will; he took on the construction industry and carved out a path of apprenticeship for black and brown kids that has changed the industry. Two-time Emmy Award Winner Keith David is far more than an acclaimed actor on the stage and screen - he's a man's man in every possible way. "Real Men Don't Play! affords the ready an opportunity to peek inside the world of men whose lives are governed by tried-and-true principles of life management. This book ultimately affirms a prophetic proclamation by an extraordinary man in his own right, the late Marcus Garvey: "What Men Have Done, Men Can Do!

Book What Does a Real Man Look Like

Download or read book What Does a Real Man Look Like written by Enrique Pascal and published by . This book was released on 2013-02 with total page 254 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An email I received from a frustrated woman, and the circumstances I faced in my life, inspired me to write this book. The email read: "Hello, Enrique. My name is Brittany {name changed for privacy}. I am looking for real love. I am so hurt and frustrated. My last three relationships have sucked the life out of me. I am just sick, tired, and fed the heck up!!! One guy was married and never told me, the other ran up my credit cards, and the other is on the down-low {Living a gay lifestyle}. I had no idea. What does a real man look like? Please help me. I am a frustrated woman with a major issue. Brittany"What Does A Real MAN Look Like? This question is the million-dollar inquiry. Surprisingly, it is asked by as many men as women. Quite a few ladies are experiencing tremendous pain because they are involved with men, who have no real sense of being a responsible man. To make matters worse, society gives us conflicting messages, regarding this issue. The quest to discovering a real man is dark, troubling, and painful. What Does A Real MAN Look Like? Quite often, this question is answered with physical descriptions, such as tall, dark, handsome, blond hair, or blue eyes. Society is so fixated with the physical appearance of people, that we overlook, or pay very little attention to their emotional, mental, and spiritual state.Genuine beauty is on the inside of an individual, not on the outside. A person can have stunning features, yet, have an unattractive heart. Let us follow the model that is laid out for us by God. "But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart" {1st Samuel 16:7 AMP}.What Does A Real MAN Look Like? This question echoed in my mind. The haunting sounds steered me, in the wrong direction. I was intrigued by drug dealers, womanizers, and men who represented power. Having the example or experience with a positive male is vital when a boy is in search of his identity. I became those who I admired. Living out my daydreams was a complete nightmare. The roller coaster ride was far from fun and joyous. The stomach-turning journey became unbearable, resulting in me becoming depressed and suicidal. I was filled with constant frustration because I was trying to do the right thing, but I kept failing, no matter how hard I worked. It is difficult to know what is right if you were never introduced to the rules for good living. This statement is not an excuse. I am not attempting to hide behind my shortcomings. Simply put, my life was on the job training, and my wife was on the verge of saying those dreadful words, "You are fired." I should have been fired. I was doing a terrible job at being a responsible adult and a good husband. I struggled with my transformation; however, I was determined to change my ways for the better, and become - "A Real MAN."I did not write this book to bash men or to pat myself on the back. I wrote this book to be helpful. For this reason, I exposed it all - the good, the bad, the ugly, my losses, and my gains. Many have tried and failed to define a real man. The information I am going to share with you has changed my life for the better. I am excited for you because it is going to change your life for the better as well.My journey led me to the most significant discovery in the world - the love of God. For the first time in my life, I surrendered to the Father, Who loves me more than I could ever imagine. His love for me is the reason why I made this life-changing conversion. It is the reason why I wrote this book. The love He has for you has drawn you to this book, and it is the reason why you are reading it.I encourage you to allow this book to read you, as you read it. If you do, you are going to unearth priceless treasures that are buried within!
