Book Real Estate for Boomers and Beyond

Download or read book Real Estate for Boomers and Beyond written by Tom Kelly and published by eBookIt.com. This book was released on 2012-11-16 with total page 253 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Adult children and their parents are faced with many housing decisions-- from deciding whether to move into a more energy efficient home or remain in the family home. In addition, they'll need to answer tough questions including: "Is a reverse mortgage right for me?" and "What can I do if I'm house rich and cash poor?" In Real Estate for Boomers and Beyond journalist, boomer and real estate analyst Tom Kelly answers these and hundreds of other questions as Baby Boomers and The Greatest Generation plan their lifestyle and housing needs. According to the US Census Bureau, nearly 80 percent of older population own their home. And as they have begun to look at their homes as their greatest asset--not just as physical shelter, the time is ripe for concise guidance on managing the most expensive investment they've likely ever made. In this complete guide to senior real estate, Kelly highlights the social trends driving the market, and shows readers precisely how to apply this information to their own retirement plans. Chapters examine the myriad housing options for seniors and future retirees: moving closer to the kids or to the sun, adapting the family home for senior living, considering an assisted living community, staying in place, and more. Interwoven throughout are real-life stories of seniors exploring new living arrangements. With this book as a guide, members of the "don't-want-to-borrow" Greatest Generation and the "loan-crazy" Baby Boomers, will learn how to protect and capitalize on their most precious asset--the home.

Book Bargains Beyond the Border Get Past the Blood and Drugs

Download or read book Bargains Beyond the Border Get Past the Blood and Drugs written by Tom Kelly and published by eBookIt.com. This book was released on 2013-02 with total page 99 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: News reports - including a segment on 60 Minutes - have depicted the entire country of Mexico as being an absolute mess, awash in blood and guns on every street corner. Ironically, people living there have a dramatically different perspective, especially in the "fly-in" destinations that continue to hold their value. Despite what you may have heard, read and seen, the country is not under siege. The laid-back lure of Mexico's beaches, forests, deserts, people, and culture has been capturing visitors and second-home buyers for decades and has become an international draw no longer driven solely by Americans and Canadians. Not only is land plentiful, exotic, captivating, and beautiful but also it is typically more affordable than most of the property found in America's getaway areas. Much has been written about the kidnappings, roadside hijackings, crooked cops and ever the infamous bandidos in some of the regions of Mexico. Most of the violence south of the border, however, is directly related to the drug cartels and the authorities who are trying to eradicate them. There is absolutely no pattern of any innocent U.S. citizens being randomly murdered in drug violence. In this book, we will meet other second-home buyers, investors and retirees who share positive views about living and investing south of the border. We will show you their answers to our questions about crime and occupancy in key areas of the country. We'll also explain why Mexico will become a needed alternative especially for 59,250,000 baby boomers that have not saved enough to fund their retirement years.

Book Financial Success in the Year 2000 and Beyond

Download or read book Financial Success in the Year 2000 and Beyond written by Larry Chambers and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2024-11-01 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Today's investor faces a much larger challenge than those of just ten years ago. The size and complexities of the financial marketplace create confusion. The Dow Jones industrial average has doubled in the past two and a half years, and 10,000 on the Dow is no longer a fantasy. Money keeps flooding into the market. The New York Stock Exchange daily trading volume is four times that of 1990. Financial Success in the Year 2000 and Beyond covers financial planning and asset management, the fastest growing segments of the financial services industry. In the old days, highly commissioned salesmen would simply tell their clients what products to buy. Today, there are infinitely more choices and investments options to sort through and be concerned about. Technology has put complex investing tools into the hands of ordinary people, without good advice on how to use them. Never have so many people experienced so much control over their financial futures, yet felt a need for so much help. Applying lessons learned from past mistakes is hard and discouraging. Most people become investors without the wisdom of experience, getting the tests without first getting the lessons. Financial Success in the Year 2000 and Beyond explores virtually every aspect of financial planning and dispels many of the myths and mysteries surrounding investing and investments. The Experts include: Dennis R. Fletcher, CLU, ChFC, Oshkosh, WI , Joseph D. Longo, CLU, CFP, LUTCF, LIC, Troy, MI, Tom Nohr, CFP, RFC, Castro Valley, CA, Floyd L. Book Beyond Real Estate Licensing Case Study Analysis of Behavioral Assessment Relationship Applied to Human Performance

Download or read book Beyond Real Estate Licensing Case Study Analysis of Behavioral Assessment Relationship Applied to Human Performance written by Conrad R. Richards and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2010-02-16 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Conrad's new book, "Beyond Real Estate Licensing: Case Study Analysis of Behavioral Assessment Relationship Applied to Human Performance" is an outgrowth of his doctoral studies. The specific problem this research addresses pertains to whether behavioral readiness has an impact upon real estate brokerage sales performance. Although real estate students may score high on the real estate licensing examinations, it may not prove the students ability to perform in a real estate brokerage performance sales environment. The most important performance criteria in real estate sales could be conceived as a developed personality capacity and alignment of motivational values. It is also noted that learning sales facilitators can not guarantee the knowledge transfer to performance unless, behavioral readiness is presented. Therefore behavioral assessment analysis can be considered as an integral aide to performance improvement. The purpose of this study was to establish the organizational responsibility towards behavioral assessment analysis during the pre-employment phase. The results of this study indicate that behavioral assessments may improve the overall recruitment and selection capability and to identify the necessary behavioral readiness that is necessary for knowledge transfer into sales performance.
