Book Trans Himalayan Buddhism Re connecting Spaces Sharing Concerns

Download or read book Trans Himalayan Buddhism Re connecting Spaces Sharing Concerns written by Ms Suchandana Chatterjee and published by KW Publishers Pvt Ltd. This book was released on 2013-01-15 with total page 101 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Trans-Himalayan Buddhism is not simply a cultural spectacle across spaces north and south, east and west of the Himalayas. It is also a subject of interactive behaviour among Buddhist communities who have been dispersed over the Kunlun mountains or the Kashgar markets that have been the meeting points of pilgrims, traders, merchants, envoys, military men, artists and scholar travelers. The northern reach of Buddhism is incomprehensible without reflections on shared histories and common concerns which the book tries to focus on. The ambit of Buddhist studies reflects not only the spiritual and philosophical domain of Buddhism but also a symbiotic relationship between the monastic establishment and protectors of cultural tradition-a trend that one sees in the context of Buddhist revivalist projects in Mongolia and Buryatia. The presence of a Buddhist order in the political realm has revived intellectual debates about the relationship between spiritual and temporal authority. The interface between South Asian and South East Buddhism on the one hand and Central Asian Buddhism on the other is also delicately balanced in Buddhist cultural discourse. The relevance of Buddhism in a globalized world has also given a new direction to the realm of Buddhist studies. This book takes into account the competing discourses of preservation and revival of Buddhism in the trans-Himalayan sector. It not only deals with the cultural ethos that Buddhism represents in this region but also the diverse Buddhist traditions that are strongly entrenched despite colonial intervention. Juxtaposed to the aesthetic variant is the extremely sensitive response of the Buddhist communities in India and Asiatic Russia centred round the issue of displacement. It is this issue of duality of common traditions and fractured identities that has been dealt with in the present volume.

Book Reconnecting the Love Energy This book is a cry for help to all those who are truly dedicated to service whether at the individual level or on a more widespread scale

Download or read book Reconnecting the Love Energy This book is a cry for help to all those who are truly dedicated to service whether at the individual level or on a more widespread scale written by Phyllis Krystal and published by tredition. This book was released on 2023-11-11 with total page 173 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The balance of the world needs to be restored by reactivating the heart - the world has reached a critical state of lovelessness. Time is important if we are to save this civilization from annihilation. A worldwide catastrophe could occur due to our lack of awareness of the seriousness of the imbalance resulting from the universal absence of caring. It has become desperately important for all of us to do whatever we can, to help to bring about a change, but we must do it first on ourselves. Both individually and in groups we can all cooperate to bring about the necessary changes, so we need to scrutinize the many different areas of activity in which people are involved, as well as all our different relationships. This survey can show clearly where the "heart" has been omitted and the "head" has become too dominant in every area of life as we experience it now. This book is a cry for help to all those who are truly dedicated to service, whether at the individual level or on a more widespread scale. It will take the commitment of as many willing people as possible to reverse the present trend toward destruction by re-instating the heart and with that re-connecting the heart energy.

Book excerpt: There's no doubt about it: every conflict in every relationship involves two people with two different perceptions, and every solution requires two partners to arrive at a single shared perception. You can't repair a damaged relationship by yourself, and you can't change your partner into someone else. Does that mean the situation is hopeless? Absolutely not! In Reconnecting, Dr. Joseph Luciani, the celebrated author of the renowned Self-Coaching series, introduces a proven, practical method you can follow to encourage your less-than-cooperative partner to join you in a meaningful healing process, even if you have to take the first steps on your own. Dr. Luciani begins by helping you evaluate your own level of insecurity and, using his Self-Talk technique, do something to improve it. He shows you how to use Self-Talk to become a catalyst for change in your relationship by eliminating your contribution to the problem. You'll identify your own personality patterns and use Self-Talk to let go of personal baggage, stop listening to what hurts you, and see the problem as a whole. Next, you'll learn how to apply Catalytic Self-Coaching to your relationship. You'll find out what it means to create a relationship vacuum, and you'll start working with Self + Self = Us Portraits. You'll also discover how to risk trusting each other and to begin coaching each other away from destructive habits and toward a more truthful and loving relationship. This eye-opening and life-changing guide offers constant support on your journey toward a more loving and rewarding relationship. You'll find plenty of prescriptive advice to help you make sense of your own personality patterns and cope with the anxiety and depression that often accompany difficult relationships. Dr. Luciani's success stories of patients who have changed their lives will help you realize that you're not alone and there is hope. Complete with a valuable discussion of the essential principles of successful relationships and how to put them into action every day, Reconnecting is the resource you need to break free of destructive habits and create a new, more secure relationship that brings you the companionship, commitment, trust, and true love you need.

Reconnecting to the Source is a powerful new book on the science of spiritual experience by Dr. Ervin Laszlo. A well-known figure in the fields of new science, consciousness, and spirituality, Dr. Laszlo has inspired some of today’s most important figures in science and philosophy. In Reconnecting to the Source he unpacks the science behind spiritual experience, investigating the ways in which we can access realms of experience beyond the everyday. In addition to a foreword by Deepak Chopra, the book includes new, never before published contributions from a long list of well-known writers and public figures—including Jane Goodall, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Zhi-Gang Sha and many more. This revolutionary and powerful book will challenge you to reconsider the boundaries of our own experience and change how we look at the world around us. It is a unique, never before available resource for people who want to know how they can consciously align with the forces and “attractors” that governs the universe, and brought us, living, conscious people on the scene in the great processes of evolution that unfold here on Earth.

Book Reconnecting with Your Estranged Adult Child

Download or read book Reconnecting with Your Estranged Adult Child written by Tina Gilbertson and published by New World Library. This book was released on 2020-05-05 with total page 290 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Parents whose adult children have cut off contact wonder: How did this happen? Where did I go wrong? What happened to my loving child? Over time, holidays, birthdays, and even the birth of grandchildren may pass in silence. Anguish may turn into anger. While time, in and of itself, does not necessarily heal, actions do, and while every estrangement includes situation-specific variables, there are practical, effective, and universal techniques for understanding and healing these not-uncommon breaches. Psychotherapist Tina Gilbertson has developed these techniques and tools over years of face-to-face and online work with parents, who have found her strategies transformative and even life-changing. Gilbertson cuts through the blame, shame, and guilt on both sides of the broken relationship. Parents will feel heard and understood but also challenged — and guided — to reclaim their role as “tone setter” and grow psychologically. Exercises, examples, and sample scripts empower parents who have felt powerless. Gilbertson shows that reconciliation is a step-by-step process, but the effort is well worth it. It is never too late to renew relations and experience better-than-ever bonds.

Book Reconnecting with the Heart

Download or read book Reconnecting with the Heart written by Anne Dickson and published by Troubador Publishing Ltd. This book was released on 2015-02-28 with total page 248 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reconnecting with the Heart offers a new theoretical and practical approach to understanding and managing feelings. We categorise feelings as either negative or positive, which means that we censor the expression of some while insisting on others. Learning to understand the whole range of emotions – what they are, where they come from, why we have them – helps us learn when and how to communicate them effectively. Feelings are not only mental events, but occur in our bodies as well. Reconnecting with the Heart helps the reader to become more conscious of the mind-body link, both in terms of how to recognise emotions and also in their connection to various physical symptoms. Although we are accustomed to blaming others for causing our feelings, the reality is that our responses have a lot to do with our perceptions. Once we stop blaming others, we can learn how to communicate clearly, even in the most difficult situations. Specific suggestions and exercises enable the reader to use this as a workbook for individual and personal exploration. The book also demonstrates how to be less uncomfortable or anxious when someone bursts into tears or is angry: we can learn to be less anxious and more present in our relationships, even when strong emotions are existent. This book is intended as an initial guide to our feelings, charting the currents and movements of the heart, and makes it clear that emotion is part of everyday life and need not be seen as a problem. The theoretical input is balanced by many illustrations from Anne’s working experience, which allow the reader to relate the theory to their own life experiences. Reconnecting with the Heart will help anyone who struggles to make sense of their feelings within the increasingly impersonal context of everyday life.
