Book excerpt: This book is not written for Christians alone, but is written for anyone who desires to know the near future. Study helps and materials are listed along with instructions which will give any one the means to understand even the most difficult scriptures in the Bible, which is the most accurate of any book on end time events. With many books on the subject, none are as telling and straight forward as Rapture and Revelation. While there are many fears concerning the end times, author R G. Brock embarks on the task to unravel the mysteries of the Rapture and Revelation. While attending Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, R G. Brock had the privilege of being taught by well-known author and teacher brother Kenneth Hagin, Sr. who has since went home to be with Jesus. After being inspired by one of Hagin's lectures, Brock obeyed his strong urge to write a book on the end times. This heart-gripping treatise will guide you into the truth as you uncover the mystery of the end of times. This book is written to give you a clear incite into the end of this age. The end begins with peace when a worldwide 7 year peace agreement is signed in the next few years which will be backed by a one world government run by the United Nations. Then in the middle of the 7 year period, the peace agreement will be broken and all hell literally breaks loose which leads to a time of trouble such as never has been or ever will be again. During this time of the last 3 1/2 years, which is called great tribulation, most of the people on the earth will die. However, if you are a Christian you will not go through this terrible time. You will find this book is the most in-depth study on what is called 'the rapture, ' which is the catching away of the Christians to not go through great tribulation, and you will find that it is by far the most in-depth study of 'The Revelation' which shows what will happen during this time of great trouble

Book excerpt: Mermen aren't real. That's what biologist Jamie Winters thinks until a gorgeous Greek god enters her life and drowns her, forcing her to rapture into a Siren. Used to logic, she can't quite come to terms with Seth Cutter's magical undersea realm or the fact that he's a macho Titan. Being a Siren causes Jamie's hormones to go into overdrive, which isn't good when she realizes that's exactly what Seth was hoping for. Sure, the sex is out of this world, but she's not about to change her character. As Prince of the North Seas, Seth is used to having his commands followed. A decade of exile on land was easier than having to deal with the sexy-as-sin Siren who tips the scales of his existence and doesn't listen to one word he says. They must overcome their prejudices to recover stolen relics that are key to the undersea kingdom, stop a deadly plague and destroy an underwater diva who wants to rule the roost. Are they two souls destined for each other or will the Fates decide otherwise? Seth knows firsthand, Fate can be a bitch.

Book excerpt: Who could have known how much influence the writings of a mysterious group of prophets and scribes hundreds of years before Christ would have on our understanding of end times prophecy? As it turns out, much of what we've been taught about Israel in the First Century is incomplete. There were, in fact, Jewish believers who knew exactly what to expect in the coming Messiah: that He would be God in the flesh and would die for our sins. If they accurately predicted the first arrival of Jesus, what did they say about His soon return? In this groundbreaking book, you will learn:?How an ancient Jewish calendar actually predicts the year 2025 AD as prophetically significant? How the enigmatic group, known as the Essenes, formed and what influence they had over the New Testament?Lost prophecies only recently discovered in the Dead Sea Scrolls about our time today? What messages the Essenes left behind for believers living in this present age?How the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation fit within the ancient Essene timetable? What hidden feasts and festivals the Essenes observed and what they point to in the future? What were the circumstances of the disappearance of the Essenes and how it connects to every Christian from the past two thousand yearsOnce you learn about the Essenes and the Dead Sea Scrolls they left behind, you will understand the entirety of the Bible in a brand new light. Finally, the prophetic texts of Scripture can be understood as originally intended. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Bioshock series looms large in the industry and culture of video games for its ambitious incorporation of high-minded philosophical questions and retro-futuristic aesthetics into the ultraviolent first-person shooter genre. Beyond the Sea marks ten years since the release of the original game with an interdisciplinary collection of essays on Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite. Simultaneously lauded as landmarks in the artistic growth of the medium and criticized for their compromised vision and politics, the Bioshock games have been the subject of significant scholarly and critical discussion. Moving past well-trodden debates, Beyond the Sea broadens the conversation by putting video games in dialogue with a diverse range of other disciplines and cultural forms, from parenting psychology to post-humanism, from Thomas Pynchon to German expressionist cinema. Offering bold new perspectives on a canonical series, Beyond the Sea is a timely contribution to our understanding of the aesthetics, the industry, and the culture of video games. Contributors include Daniel Ante-Contreras (Miracosta), Luke Arnott (Western Ontario), Betsy Brey (Waterloo), Patrick Brown (Iowa), Michael Fuchs (Graz), Jamie Henthorn (Catawba), Brendan Keogh (Queensland), Cameron Kunzelman (Georgia), Cody Mejeur (Michigan State), Matthew Thomas Payne (Notre Dame), Gareth Schott (Waikato), Karen Schrier (Marist), Sarah Stang (York/Ryerson), Sarah Thorne (Carleton), John Vanderhoef (California State, Dominguez Hills), Matthew Wysocki (Flagler), Jordan R. Book The Sea

Download or read book The Sea written by David Farrell Krell and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2019-02-27 with total page 353 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Humankind has a profound and complex relationship with the sea, a relationship that is extensively reflected in biology, psychology, religion, literature and poetry. The sea cradles and soothes us, we visit it often for solace and inspiration, it is familiar, being the place where life ultimately began. Yet the sea is also dark and mysterious and often spells catastrophe and death. The sea is a set of contradictions: kind, cruel, indifferent. She is a blind will that will 'have her way'. In exploring this most capricious of phenomena, David Farrell Krell engages the work of an array of thinkers and writers including, but not limited to, Homer, Thales, Anaximander, Heraclitus, Plato, Aristotle, Hölderlin, Melville, Woolf, Whitman, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Schelling, Ferenczi, Rank and Freud. The Sea explores the significance in Western civilization of the catastrophic and generative power of the sea and what humankind's complex relationship with it reveals about the human condition, human consciousness, temporality, striving, anxiety, happiness and mortality.

Book Marine Lover of Friedrich Nietzsche

Download or read book Marine Lover of Friedrich Nietzsche written by Luce Irigaray and published by Columbia University Press. This book was released on 1991 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Published in France in 1980, Marine Lover is the first in a trilogy in which Luce Irigaray links the interrogation of the feminine in post-Hegelian philosophy with a pre-Socratic investigation of the elements. Irigaray undertakes to interrogate Nietzche, the grandfather of poststructuralist philosophy, from the point of view of water. According to Irigaray, water is the element Nietzsche fears most. She uses this element in her narrative because for her there is a complex relationship between the feminine and the fluid. Irigaray's method is to engage in an amorous dialogue with the male philosopher. In this dialogue, she ruptures conventional discourse and writes in a lyrical style that defies distinction between theory, fiction, and philosophy.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Can there only be one Rapture? The Rapture Code—Part One of an—Eight-Book Coded Series! This is the first book of an Eight-Book Coded Series, concerning Christian living. I’ve been a Christian for 34 yrs., and for over 30 of those years, I have tried to augment the Rapture of the Church; with additional biblical evidence. I started out all those years ago; to accomplish this one task. Well, God has greatly blessed me, in that I found not—one code—concerning the Rapture, but a coded series of eight codes total. Thus, each one relating to the Christians walking out their salvation, in one aspect or another. (Doctrinally, this first book pertains to the Rapture of the Church in a Pre-Millennial position, that promotes as true; The Seven-year Tribulation, the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ; here on earth, the “little season” of Satan, and then the New Heavens and Earth.) What I have uncovered is a deeper answer that gives good reasons for all three rapture positions, which are: Pre-, Mid-, and Post-Tribulation—being three different raptures all taking place during this 7 year time period. Thus, there being three separate raptures instead of just one. I see there are—three raptures of—three different groups of peoples in the Tribulation Period. Instead of the one group—of the one—Rapture of the Church—in only one—of the three rapture positions offered us. Namely, the rapture positions of: Pre-, or Mid-, or Post-Tribulation. Thus again, I see three different raptures taking place as follows: Rapture of the Church—Rapture of the Two Witnessess—Rapture of the Elect of Israel (Pre-Tribulation) (Mid-Tribulation) (Post-Tribulation) Israel is always the key to proper biblical prophecy. Without Israel in existence today as a nation; there would be no final: End Times. Israel and the Church are separate in the Scriptures, and so it only makes sense (especially after seeing the evidence that I have accumulated in this book) that Israel would have it’s “OWN” rapture. Further, Christians, are making the same error of judgment pertaining to Christ’s Rapture of the Church (seeing only one rapture); that Israel made concerning Christ’s First Coming. Israel, perceived wrongly that there was only one Coming of Christ, which they were sorely mistaken, and we now know that there are two Comings of the LORD, one 2,000 yrs. ago and one in the near future. But Christians are making the same error in thinking that there is only one rapture of one major group of people: The Rapture of the Church. When in fact, there are—two raptures of—two major groups of peoples, as noted above. (Note: The Two Witnesses are not a group, though, I feel, with some Scriptural evidence; that the 144,000 may go up with the Witnesses.) In which the “Left Behind” notion will be proved wrong. Also, I have found a “word pattern order” exclusive to the KJB, that shows forth this order in many OT verses as well as the NT. I have found the threefold pattern of these three raptures in the “Breastplate of the High Priest,” in the “Seven Feasts of Israel,” in the books of “Daniel and Revelation,” in the books of “Matthew, Mark, and Luke,” and in many other places! In addition, these truths will strengthen the “Eternal Security” of any Believer. Finally, I have discovered many new “study aids” for advance studies that only appear in the KJB, which will strengthen the Christian for the ongoing battle for the Bible—The King James Bible, in which these study aids can and will be demonstrated throughout this Eight-Book Coded Series, by which these eight codes are based in Acts 3. The codes are there in this chapter; four times—in a four times over—repeating order—perfectly. This co

Book excerpt: Did you ever play 'connect-the-dots'? Connecting the dots of prophecy throughout the Bible reveals the truth of God's love for mankind—His plans to rescue His own, punish the lawless, and judge the nations. 'Revelation Unwrapped' is the picture God draws through His spoken Word to the faithful from Genesis to Revelation. Eternity lies beyond time as we know it. How does the Earth get from here to there? For four thousand years God spoke through His prophets and shared His plan. From Enoch, seventh generation from Adam, to John the Revelator, God promised to bring salvation and redemption to the world, return the Jews to their rightful land, bless the righteous, judge the ungodly and the Nations, and set up His eternal kingdom. 'Revelation Unwrapped' examines those prophecies, from Enoch to John, and confirms verse by verse the book of Revelation. Easy to understand explanations will open your mind to receive the truths of the events that are already happening on the horizon of the 'last days'. Your personal experience with 'Revelation Unwrapped' will be so enlightening that you will be compelled to share this book with family and friends.
