Book excerpt: Bilingual publication English-French, the official languages of Canada. The Law Reform Commission of Canada, or Law Commission of Canada, began operation as a permanent independent body to study and undertake a systematic review of Canadian law to consider the state of laws in a jurisdiction and make recommendations or proposals for legal changes or restructuring. Their functions include drafting revised versions of confusing laws, preparing consolidated versions of laws, making recommendations on updating outdated laws and making recommendations on repealing obsolete or spent laws. (Wikipedia, "Law Reform Commission of Canada." Retrieved 2012-09-08.)Law Reform Commission of Canada reports resulted in much new legislation and numerous amendments being enacted by Parliament, and its other publications have produced legislative initiatives as well. The LRCC's work influenced the legal community and provincial commissions, exercising an indirect effect on administrative and legislative reform. The courts referred to positions adopted by the LRCC frequently when making judgments. The commission programs covered areas such as family law, administrative law, and land expropriation. The two initial projects of the LRCC were to revise the Criminal code and Canada evidence act. These revisions were never completed. The LRCC also worked on reforming electoral laws in Canada. The Law Reform Commission of Canada established by the Law Commissions of Canada Act on July 1, 1997, replacing the Law Commission of Canada which had been dissolved in 1993 by the Mulroney government. On September 25, 2006, funding to the Commission was removed by the Harper government, although the Act establishing the commission has not been repealed. (Patricia G. Book Les crimes sexuels face au droit international p nal

Download or read book Les crimes sexuels face au droit international p nal written by Diogène Bideri and published by . This book was released on 2017 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
