Book Quinazolinone and Quinazoline Derivatives

Download or read book Quinazolinone and Quinazoline Derivatives written by Ali Gamal Al-kaf and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2020-05-06 with total page 128 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of the problems with modern public health is target searching for new highly effective medicinal preparations. Among those medicinal preparations are the natural and synthetic origins of quinazolinone-4 derivatives. Quinazolinone derivatives are reported to be physiologically and pharmacologically active. They also exhibit a wide range of activities such as anticonvulsant, antiinflammatory, antifungal, antimalarial, and sedative properties. Some of these compounds are identified as drugs used as diuretics, vasodilators, and antihypertensive agents. Moreover, sulfonamide derivatives have been widely used as bacteriostatic agents. Prompted by the above-mentioned facts and in conjunction with our ongoing program on the utility of readily obtainable starting material for the synthesis of heterocyclic systems of biological interest, we have decided to synthesize a series of quinazolinone derivatives having sulfonamide moiety with a potentially wide spectrum of biological responses.

Book Quinazolines Volume 55 Supplement 1

Download or read book Quinazolines Volume 55 Supplement 1 written by Desmond J. Brown and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2009-09-17 with total page 760 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This supplement reflects and emphasizes current research trends. Due to the vast increase in the number and types of individual quinazolines described in recent literature, the author has replaced the myriad classified tables of known quinazolines with a single alphabetical table of simple known quinazolines. To facilitate recovery of any earlier data from the tables in the original volume, a cross-reference has been added (when appropriate) to each individual entry in the new table. Contains an extensive chapter on primary syntheses.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book investigates and identifies novel therapeutic compounds for the treatment of a range of illnesses. Heterocyclic compounds are a significant class of substances with biological activity. Among them, quinazoline has attracted a lot of interest because of its important biological properties. Numerous compounds with quinazoline moiety have been shown to exhibit a wide range of therapeutic properties, including antioxidant, antifungal, antiviral, antidiabetic, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial activities. This book presents a comprehensive overview of quinazoline and its derivatives. The chapters address recent advances in the synthesis of several different heterocyclic compounds, the use of computational studies for finding new active quinazoline derivatives, the biological activities of quinazoline, and much more.
