Book Quantum Physics Near Death Experiences Eternal Consciousness Religion and the Human Soul

Download or read book Quantum Physics Near Death Experiences Eternal Consciousness Religion and the Human Soul written by William Bray and published by . This book was released on 2012-07-03 with total page 776 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the Late Prof. W J Bray This is not a casual glossing over of subjects like a TV documentary, nor is it a narrative. There is some math involved, and the subject of Quantum Theory is a difficult one both to describe and to understand by scientists and laymen alike. The math presented is reduced to some basic algebra. The purpose is to look at the evidence from a philosophical and religious perspective, as well as human perception and the deconstruction of various paradoxes and decide if the evidence is compelling toward the conclusion that we are not finite beings. This is not a discussion that suggests Quantum Physics is some route to the mystical, but a discussion that suggests we are not finite. We then look at the finite nature of our cosmos and conclude, if the evidence is compelling enough, that we are infinite beings merely perceiving a finite system. That being said (from a teacher in Romania): Written by a Physicist whose expertise spans a wide range of fields, from Neuroscience Research to philosophy and religion, and who has also experienced multiple medically documented NDEs, the book suggests mathematically that reality, the Universe as we perceive it, can only exist interdependent with consciousness. Reviewing Quantum Physics from its founders' definitions up to the latest research in the field, Bray explains in detail in language every layman can understand, provided commitment to do further research available on the WWW.The text then goes on to describe how we interact with, manipulate and define the Universe, ultimately how we "paint the universe into being", to use Bray's own syntagm. He substantiates his theory with logical arguments and hard data that have been proven correct throughout a century of quantum research. After disproving beyond any reasonable doubt that consciousness is an artifact of the physical brain, by using experimental data and conclusions independently verified by leading researchers worldwide, Bray describes how consciousness creates the physical universe, how it is mathematically impossible that consciousness can be finite, and that the universe is. His conclusion that consciousness is unique for each individual is a natural outcome of his scientific, physics-based argumentation, as is the evidence that consciousness must be infinite and eternal in order to exist. We are perceiving this short, finite, physical life, while at the same time existing in the eternal consciousness, unaware of it, because we are focusing on this finite Universe as a mere perception. Bray's purpose is not to "prove" God, but to show that each of us is a unique individual consciousness that exists beyond space-time, for infinity. He goes even further to identify the truths that have been enduring and immutable throughout centuries in philosophy and religion, by distilling them from myth and dogma. In addition, by doing this, he dismisses many paradoxes in physics, religions and philosophy. Bray succeeds in convincingly intersecting science and spirituality and showing that, contrary to cognitive beliefs which are prone to constant change, Faith is an immutable spiritual state. He has studied it not only as a scientist, but has also experienced NDEs first-hand, through recurrent cardiac arrests due to a severe medical condition that brought him repeatedly to the brink of death. Thus, the NDEs are described from the perspective of a rigorous scientist who refrains from including any biased description of them. His arguments are unambiguous, devoid of metaphor or uncertainty and the book is by no means an ideological argument or exploration, although it is at odds with almost everything written to date; Bray's claims are substantiated with solid mathematical axioms. 'Quantum Temporal Dynamics,' (not related to other material using that name) is included at the end of the book, re-exploring quantum theory from scratch, and detailing mechanisms for faster- than- light travel using current technology.

This is an academic deconstruction of the NDE, consciousness, human perception, and religion, all intended to derive a meaning or definition for consciousness and determine of consciousness is indeed an infinite thing perceiving a finite universe. If that is the case, then this infinite thing, consciousness, cannot actually reside in a finite domain (you cannot fit an infinite thing inside of a finite container) but must be residing at this very moment in an infinite domain. This description changes the very nature of our 'selves,' our perception of 'self,' and our meaning and presence, or perception of our presence here. PART 1: THE CLINICAL NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE 1. Book excerpt: From the late Prof. W J BrayWhen confronted with death, dying, or loss, you want answers, not speculation. Most of this text is gleaned from a former work, Quantum Physics, Near Death Experiences, Eternal Consciousness, Religion, and the Human Soul. However, the focus in this text is not Quantum Theory but a substantial argument and explanation regarding a living being's fate after death. To do this, a 'little bit' of science, NDE,Religion, and Philosophy, are examined and explained going back to the origin of life.Written by a Quantum Theorist who has survived at least 30 medically documented Near Death experiences, the author goes deeply into those answers.

Book Afterlife

Book excerpt: Since the fall of mankind, death has been an unavoidable element faced by each man and woman who walks this planet. For some, this subject is the source of great anxiety, while others accept this to be a natural part of life. For those with a religious belief system, convictions therein play a great role in what a person feels can be anticipated when this life is concluded. But, what does the Bible say on this matter? How does one reconcile such elements as the Near-Death or Out-of-Body Experience to his or her religious views? Is there really an Afterlife, or do we cease to exist when we die? In Afterlife, you will read:?Real-life stories of Near-Death and Out-of-Body experiences as told by those who experienced them? What quantum physics, quantum consciousness, and neuroscience teach us about the manifestation of life after death? What it really means to communicate with the dead?About the surprising implications made through the Shroud of Turin, and how this single artifact could revolutionize your view of religion ?How ancient cultural and religious views impact what you believe about the Afterlife?Where ambiguous phrases such as Abraham's Bosom and Purgatory originated and what they really mean?Where tough questions such as: "If God is such a loving God, why does He send people to Hell?" are tackled.? The truth about the origins and conditions of Heaven and Hell, and how modern deceptions and misconceptions could misdirect where you spend eternity? How resurrection proves the existence of God ?Surprising elements about our future, resurrected bodies? How to prepare for the Afterlife so that you can live forever!

Book You Cannot Fit an Infinite Thing You Into a Finite Container This World You Are Not Here

Download or read book You Cannot Fit an Infinite Thing You Into a Finite Container This World You Are Not Here written by Dr William Joseph Bray and published by . This book was released on 2016-10-14 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Near Death experience is explained in detail by one who has experienced the phenomenon on multiple occasions, with descriptions of both what we would call Heaven and Hell. The information brought back from those domains is invaluable. By way of the application of some math and logic readers of my other texts have seen before to prove by way of axiom, physics, and philosophical derivation that it is not possible for consciousness to be a finite thing. Whereas it is impossible that the world you perceive around you is infinite, governed by the lower boundary of the Big Bang and the upper boundary of the present, it (the universe) is therefore finite. Consciousness has no lower boundary of birth or conception or sperm meets egg; it has a conscious being guiding it. Nor does it have the moment of death as a clear end of consciousness that is suitable within the framework of the religions, philosophies, or even the clinical definitions (which are included here) of man. Consciousness, in fact has no formal definition within the framework of Quantum Mechanics, philosophy, or religion. The founders of Quantum Theory knew this. John Von Neumann was one of the fathers of Quantum Theory referred to as the Copenhagen Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics that suggested that all conscious beings (in my own syntagm) 'Paint the Universe into Being.' We create this world we perceive around us. Most authors would say it and leave it at that, but as a physicist and mathematician, I have to explain every step in detail, religion, prophecy, healing, the NDE, and all, then go on to human perception, philosophy, and even manhandle this staggering debate regarding evolution and creation. And ultimately we find that to the anger of many, Atheism is a valid Religion, but don't shoot the messenger, the Supreme Court decided that one, and we'll discuss the logic herein. Separating belief, a cognitive act, from Faith, a spiritual state of being, is at the core of these things. Nonetheless, Consciousness comes up as an infinite thing in every argument, resolving every paradox, and as the title states clearly, 'you cannot fit an infinite thing (you) inside of a finite system (this cosmos) - you For those who have read Quantum Physics, Near Death Experiences, Eternal Consciousness, Religion, and the Human Soul, this is essentially a refocus of the same work taking a step back from the complexities of Quantum Mechanics (although the lay portion remains, making it about a thousand pages shorter) and the diametrics of the evolution of religion. The text also includes my own NDEs, of both 'Heavenly' and 'Hellish' states, which after several years of struggling I have been able to put into a narrative form. The medical diagnosis which lead to multiple NDEs is also explained, as well as the clinical setting where all of this was recorded.

Book Science and the Near Death Experience

Download or read book Science and the Near Death Experience written by Chris Carter and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2010-08-23 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The scientific evidence for life after death • Explains why near-death experiences (NDEs) offer evidence of an afterlife and discredits the psychological and physiological explanations for them • Challenges materialist arguments against consciousness surviving death • Examines ancient and modern accounts of NDEs from around the world, including China, India, and many from tribal societies such as the Native American and the Maori Predating all organized religion, the belief in an afterlife is fundamental to the human experience and dates back at least to the Neanderthals. By the mid-19th century, however, spurred by the progress of science, many people began to question the existence of an afterlife, and the doctrine of materialism--which believes that consciousness is a creation of the brain--began to spread. Now, using scientific evidence, Chris Carter challenges materialist arguments against consciousness surviving death and shows how near-death experiences (NDEs) may truly provide a glimpse of an awaiting afterlife. Using evidence from scientific studies, quantum mechanics, and consciousness research, Carter reveals how consciousness does not depend on the brain and may, in fact, survive the death of our bodies. Examining ancient and modern accounts of NDEs from around the world, including China, India, and tribal societies such as the Native American and the Maori, he explains how NDEs provide evidence of consciousness surviving the death of our bodies. He looks at the many psychological and physiological explanations for NDEs raised by skeptics--such as stress, birth memories, or oxygen starvation--and clearly shows why each of them fails to truly explain the NDE. Exploring the similarities between NDEs and visions experienced during actual death and the intersection of physics and consciousness, Carter uncovers the truth about mind, matter, and life after death.

Book excerpt: Do you have a soul? How can you know? Can science demonstrate its existence? What difference does it make? These are among the difficult and important questions at the heart of "Beyond Death". In the wake of the revolution of quantum physics, an increasing number of scientists have acknowledged the very real possibility of the existence of spirit or soul. The book sets out to prove the existence of spirit and its survival after death, not by appealing to some airy-fairy new age theory or religious dogma, but from empirical evidence gathered by qualified researchers from a number of scientific disciplines. Mind-matter interaction, research into healing and remote viewing, consciousness at the cellular level, near-death experiences and biological evidence of reincarnation are among the many perspectives from which this crucial subject is explored. What does this mean to you? Imagine it is after your "death" and you are looking back on this, your past life. Ask yourself what kind of life from here onward would please you as a spirit? What personal challenges met, fears overcome, actions taken and deeds done would make you proud? By answering this question NOW and moving on through life with that answer always present in your heart, you will have unlocked the secret of spirit and the true purpose of your life.

Book Consciousness Beyond Life

Download or read book Consciousness Beyond Life written by Pim van Lommel and published by Harper Collins. This book was released on 2011-08-09 with total page 450 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As a cardiologist, Pim van Lommel was struck by the number of his patients who claimed to have near-death experiences as a result of their heart attacks. As a scientist, this was difficult for him to accept: Wouldn't it be scientifically irresponsible of him to ignore the evidence of these stories? Faced with this dilemma, van Lommel decided to design a research study to investigate the phenomenon under the controlled environment of a cluster of hospitals with a medically trained staff. For more than twenty years van Lommel systematically studied such near-death experiences in a wide variety of hospital patients who survived a cardiac arrest. In 2001, he and his fellow researchers published his study on near-death experiences in the renowned medical journal The Lancet. The article caused an international sensation as it was the first scientifically rigorous study of this phenomenon. Now available for the first time in English, van Lommel offers an in-depth presentation of his results and theories in this book that has already sold over 125,000 copies in Europe. Van Lommel provides scientific evidence that the near-death phenomenon is an authentic experience that cannot be attributed to imagination, psychosis, or oxygen deprivation. He further reveals that after such a profound experience, most patients' personalities undergo a permanent change. In van Lommel's opinion, the current views on the relationship between the brain and consciousness held by most physicians, philosophers, and psychologists are too narrow for a proper understanding of the phenomenon. In Consciousness Beyond Life, van Lommel shows that our consciousness does not always coincide with brain functions and that, remarkably and significantly, consciousness can even be experienced separate from the body.

Book A Burst of Conscious Light

Download or read book A Burst of Conscious Light written by Andrew Silverman and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2020-02-11 with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Provides evidence that human consciousness can never be reproduced and exposes the perils of artificial intelligence • Explains how consciousness transcends the brain and body through quantum theory and accounts of consciousness in the clinically dead • Shares scientific evidence of how the image on the Shroud of Turin was produced and connects these findings to evidence concerning near-death experiences • Reveals how consciousness cannot be reproduced by a machine and how attempts to do so threaten what makes us human Stephen Hawking once said that the unanticipated consequences of artificial intelligence will be the greatest threat to humanity’s survival. In this book, Dr. Andrew Silverman reveals why the powerful consciousness of the human mind could never be manufactured and so cannot be reproduced with technology. Integrating extensive scientific research from three seemingly unrelated fields of study--quantum mechanics, near-death experiences, and the Shroud of Turin--Silverman reveals the pitfalls and perils of artificial intelligence and addresses the fundamentally flawed thinking that underlies it. Drawing on his work as one of the leading experts on the Shroud of Turin as well as research by scientists from NASA and Los Alamos, he shows how the image on the Shroud could only have been produced by a flash of light as intense as a nuclear explosion--a burst of light that occurred after the body was in the tomb. Sharing medical evidence of consciousness in people declared clinically dead, the author shows how the light of consciousness evidenced by the Shroud is also a consistent feature of most near-death experiences. Exploring the non-local nature of consciousness--how it transcends the physical brain and body, Silverman explains why the human mind cannot be reduced to a computer and examines what separates sentient beings from machines. He shows how getting caught up in the push for artificial intelligence and the technological quest for immortality--through the attempt to “download” our minds onto computers--will only lead us to devalue and erase what makes us unique and irreplaceable in this cold, dark universe: our humanity.

Download or read book The Map of Heaven written by Eben Alexander and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2014-10-07 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Proof of Heaven teams up with the sages of times past, modern scientists, and with ordinary people who have had profound spiritual experiences to show the reality of heaven and our true identities as spiritual beings. When Dr. Eben Alexander told the story of his near-death experience and his vivid journey to the other side, many readers wrote to say it resonated with them profoundly. Thanks to them, Dr. Alexander realized that sharing his story allowed people to rediscover what so many in ancient times knew: there is more to life, and to the universe, than this single earthly life. Dr. Alexander and his coauthor Ptolemy Tompkins were surprised to see how often his readers’ visions of the afterlife synced up with each other and with those of the world’s spiritual leaders, as well as its philosophers and scientists. In The Map of Heaven, he shares the stories people have told him and shows how they are echoed both in the world’s faiths and in its latest scientific insights. It turns out there is much agreement, across time and terrain, about the journey of the soul and its survival beyond death. In this book, Dr. Alexander makes the case for heaven as a genuine place, showing how we have forgotten, but are now at last remembering, who we really are and what our destiny truly is. The Map of Heaven takes the broad view to reveal how modern science is on the verge of the most profound revolution in recorded history—all around the phenomenon of consciousness itself!

Download or read book Always There Is Life written by Robert Traer and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-06-18 with total page 314 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is for my children and grandchildren. It begins with an autobiographical sketch and includes readings that have strongly influenced my thinking about the big questions of living and dying. Not all these readings are about near-death experiences (NDEs), but all should be read in the Light of NDEs. For although I have not had an NDE, the Light experienced by those who have (including my father) now illuminates my life as well as my thoughts. At 75, I now see my life as a wandering search for wholeness in the compelling worlds envisioned by secular scientists and spiritual teachers. The boy who excelled in science, and thought he would be a physicist, instead failed as a Christian preacher and became a critical teacher. Only now, at the end of my life, have I discovered what NDEs reveal about both science and spirituality. In these readings, physicians and other scientists consider how some survivors of cardiac arrest or accidents that have stopped the heart (and thus blood flow to the brain) nonetheless report vivid memories of Light and Love. This evidence falsifies the scientific assumption that consciousness is simply a product of brain activity, and verifies that the loss of ordinary consciousness at least for some enables an experience of transcending meaning. Cardiologist and NDE researcher Pim van Lommel reports that the "enhanced consciousness" during an NDE includes "nonlocal aspects of interconnectedness, such as memories from earliest childhood up until the crisis that caused the NDE and sometimes even visions of the future. It offers the chance of communication with the thoughts and feelings of people who were involved in past events or with the consciousness of deceased friends and relatives." To explain NDEs, van Lommel turns to quantum theory and endorses "the not yet commonly accepted interpretation that consciousness determines if and how we experience reality." In this view "consciousness is nonlocal and the origin or foundation of everything: all matter, or physical reality, is shaped by nonlocal consciousness." If this is the case, "Our endless consciousness predates our birth and our body, and will survive death independently of our body in a nonlocal space where time and distance play no role." Founders of quantum physics looked to the Eastern spiritual traditions, as psychiatrist Diane Hennacy Powell explains: "Eastern philosophies teach that we live in a sea of unified consciousness; that our personal consciousness exists both in and outside our bodies; and that our consciousness can travel away from the body during dreams, out-of-body experiences, and at death." Several of the scientists I quote in this book find in quantum theory a way of explaining how matter and mind unfold from a creative process that is the source of both. Social scientist Lawrence LeShan argues: "Field theory leads as inexorably to a concept of surviving biological death as classical physics does to a concept of total annihilation at bodily death. In the sense that all things that 'were, ' 'are, ' or 'will be' exist forever in the continuum, the individual continues to be." Psychiatrist Jim B. Tucker writes: "If the physical universe grows out of consciousness, there is no reason to think that a person's individual consciousness ends when the physical brain dies." Some NDE survivors report meeting Jesus on the Other Side, but most return to the visible world more spiritually awake than actively religious. For others, whose scientific vocation reinforced a secular view of reality, NDEs have given new meaning to "God." Spiritually transformed by his NDE, neurosurgeon Eben Alexander affirms: "God is present in us at all times. Omniscient, omnipotent, personal-and loving us without conditions. We are connected as One through our divine link."

Download or read book Near Death Experiences written by Ornella Corazza and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2008-06-30 with total page 183 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Near death experiences fascinate everyone, from theologians to sociologists and neuroscientists. This groundbreaking book introduces the phenomenon of NDEs, their personal impact and the dominant scientific explanations. Taking a strikingly original cross-cultural approach and incorporating new medical research, it combines new theories of mind and body with contemporary research into how the brain functions. Ornella Corazza analyses dualist models of mind and body, discussing the main features of NDEs as reported by many people who have experienced them. She studies the use of ketamine to reveal how characteristics of NDEs can be chemically induced without being close to death. This evidence challenges the conventional ‘survivalist hypothesis’, according to which the near death experience is a proof of the existence of an afterlife. This remarkable book concludes that we need to move towards a more integrated view of embodiment, in order to understand what human life is and also what it can be. Ornella Corazza is a NDE researcher at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. In 2004-5 she was a Member of the 21st Century Centre of Excellence (COE) ‘Program on the Construction of Death and Life Studies’ at the University of Tokyo.
