Book excerpt: Kasuri Methi (Trigonella Corniculata L.) is one of the important seed spices crop, slightly differ than regular methi (Trigonella foenum - graecium L.) mostly cultivated for its significant flavor and other medicinal properties in its leaves. It is mostly cultivated in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh in India. The reason identified for less area under cultivation of Kasuri methi in state like Maharashtra, distribution chain from producer to consumer through marketing were taken into consideration. In this regards, genesis for the present study was to give the production technology of seed production of kasuri methi to the farmers of the region. We are sure that, this publication shall prove highly useful to various stake holders, such as field functionaries, growers, students and extension workers and who are having interest in (grown) kasuri methi.
