Book QTA Questionnaire Task Analysis

Download or read book QTA Questionnaire Task Analysis written by and published by . This book was released on 1990 with total page 5 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When a computer-based training (CBT) package is part of a performance-based training system, a job/task analysis (JTA) to identify and document training requirements is the first step. To identify and document training requirements, performance-based training mandates that a job/task analysis be completed. To simplify the task of performing the job/task analysis for the control room operators at the plutonium facility at Los Alamos National Laboratory, we wrote the MODULA-2 program QUESTIONNAIRE-TASK-ANALYSIS (QTA). Because we were performing the job/task analysis to meet the requirements of DOE Order 5480.18, the programming was based on the documentation presented in the DOE documents Training Accreditation Program Manuals (TAP 1, TAP 2, and TAP 3). The model for the questionnaire portion of the program was Attachment I-8, page I-33, of TAP 2-88. The analysis that recommends no-train, train or overtrain uses the decision tree on page I-10 of TAP 2-88. However, the program is useful beyond just compliance with the Order. The program performs two functions: it collects numerical data from a questionnaire with a rating scale, and it analyzes the data. After the data are collected, the analysis portion uses a decision tree to make training recommendations. The data may be collected using a long form or a short form of the questionnaire. The analysis procedure creates three analysis files based on job classifications of the respondents. Because of the dual capabilities of the program, QTA may be used by a respondent to complete the questionnaire or the analyst to analyze the results of the survey. Before discussing the QTA program in detail, we will briefly review the process of performing a job task analysis. 5 refs.

Book excerpt: The Open Access version of this book, available at www.taylorfrancis.com, has been made available under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivatives 4.0 license. Being a good board member is not about knowing everything; it is about asking the right questions and challenging appropriately. Effective Directors: The Right Questions To Ask (QTA) is a reference book for board members and executives globally to support them in their work. With chapters written by senior company board members and respected figures in corporate governance, the questions have been drawn together to offer food for thought and useful prompts that take boards beyond operational discussions. The book clearly presents key areas to be considered by the board (there are over 50 in total) and range from board composition, to data security, diversity and inclusion, and succession planning. The questions are ones that boards, in any organisation, should be asking themselves, their fellow board members, service providers, executives, and other stakeholders to ensure that the right issues are raised, transparency and effective oversight are achieved, and the board is fulfilling its role in governing the organisation. In addition to being invaluable for board members, the book is also a very useful tool for executives in understanding the kind of questions their board members are likely to ask, and the kind of questions that should be asked and discussed in the boardroom.

Download or read book The Wug Test written by Jean Berko Gleason and published by . This book was released on 2019-12-09 with total page 64 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Wug Test is a picture book for children and adults that uses invented nouns, verbs, and adjectives to illuminate what children know about their own language. This book includes the original delightful Wug Test drawings and test questions created by Professor Jean Berko Gleason in 1958. The Wug Test, first given in research settings, showed that children do not learn language simply by memorizing what they hear. Instead, they learn the rules of their language so that they are able to make plurals, past tenses and other forms when presented with words they have never heard before. This book has pictures and interesting questions to share with children, along with informative notes and commentary for adults. It provides a fascinating insight into what even very young children know about language, as well as a way to understand and observe a child's acquisition of the rules of language over time. Ages 3-7.
