Book excerpt: If you want to know the secrets of Dark Psichology then keep reading... Have you ever been manipulated? If so, have you ever asked youself how people managed to manipulate you? Or have you ever tried to manipulate others but failed? If so, you must understand what Dark psychology is. It is the phenomenon known to a select few people who use it regularly to get ahead in life. It is the study of human psychology taken through the lens of manipulation, dark persuasion, and deception. Those who are well versed in it know the secrets of human emotion, how emotions can be controlled for personal gain, and so on. Almost nobody talks about dark psychology despite it being all around us. Our bosses use it to control our behavior, advertising agencies use it to get us to buy things, and the psychopath next door uses it to get us to stop walking on their lawn but in a polite way. Understanding the basis of human psychology opens up many doors in life that these individuals have long opened--and exploited for lucrative gain. To control someone, you can either use force, or you can design a clever argument that they simply can't refuse. These arguments come in the form of clever manipulations designed to avert attention and bring it back to one's emotions. When it comes to human motivation, there is no greater motivation than strong emotions--which the expert manipulator will know how to influence. Even if one has no intention of manipulating others for personal gain, you can be sure that there is someone out there who wants to do the same to you. Perhaps somebody is already doing it without you being aware. The only way to be sure is to read up on the basics of manipulation and see if the signs are there in your daily life. Anyone from a close associate to a lover or family member could be doing it to you. Identification of these individuals and the tactics that they use is the first step to freeing yourself from their emotional bondage. This book provides a crash course in the field of manipulation. Among other things, you will learn about manipulative tactics, the art of deception, and how to put a powerful spin on persuasive arguments (as well as how to spot people trying to manipulate you) Learn how dark psychology relates to your everyday life How can dark psychology benefit your life, and whether or not you want to use it in the real world An exploration of persuasive techniques, both from the traditional development of rhetoric by Aristotle and the modern equivalent. All geared towards manipulative persuasion techniques Dispelling fact from fiction when it comes to mind control, brainwashing and dark manipulation An overview of mind games and how they are used in the workplace in interpersonal relationships An exploration of the dark triad and how it relates to dark psychology. This is all learnable in a short period of time, and one doesn't have to be an expert in behavioral sciences or behavioral psychology to understand the basics even though requires years to master. Book Smut

  • Author : Murray S. Davis

Download or read book Smut written by Murray S. Davis and published by University of Chicago Press. This book was released on 2016-05-15 with total page 342 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This unique study of sexuality and society offers a provocative reframing of the subject—including what the author calls a periodic table of perversions. In Smut, Murray S. Davis investigates sex in a way that differs from nearly all previous books on the subject. Discarding the simplistic theory of sex as a natural instinct, he sets out to develop new explanations for its universal appeal. Drawing on a wide variety of literary forms, including the work of novelists, poets, and even comedians—and exploring everything from theology to pornography—Davis recaptures sex for the social sciences. First, Davis examines the difference between sexual arousal and ordinary experience, arguing that arousal alters a person's experience of the world. Positing an erotic reality distinct from everyday life, he demonstrates how different perceptions of time, space, human bodies, and other social types occur in each realm. Davis then asks why some people find this alternation between realities dirty, and offers a periodic table of perversions that summarizes the social elements out of which those who find sex dirty construct their world. Finally, Davis considers other conceptual grids affected by the alternation between everyday and erotic realities: the pornographic, which portrays individual, social relations, and social organizations being disrupted by sex; and the naturalistic, which conceives of them in a way that cannot be disrupted by sex. Throughout history these ideologies have battled for control over Western society, and, in his conclusion, Davis offers a prognosis for the future of sex based on these historical ideological cycles.

Book Anarchy and Society

Download or read book Anarchy and Society written by Jeffrey Shantz and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2013-11-14 with total page 223 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Anarchy and Society explores the many ways in which the discipline of Sociology and the philosophy of anarchism are compatible. The book constructs possible parameters for a future ‘anarchist sociology’, by a sociological exposition of major anarchist thinkers (including Kropotkin, Proudhon, Landauer, Goldman, and Ward), as well as an anarchist interrogation of key sociological concepts (including social norms, inequality, and social movements). Sociology and anarchism share many common interests—although often interpreting each in divergent ways—including community, solidarity, feminism, crime and restorative justice, and social domination. The synthesis proposed by Anarchy and Society is reflexive, critical, and strongly anchored in both traditions.

Book Persistence and Emergencies of Inequalities in Latin America

Download or read book Persistence and Emergencies of Inequalities in Latin America written by Pablo Vommaro and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-02-21 with total page 277 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book adopts a multidimensional approach to analyze both the historical and emerging factors that contribute to make Latin America and the Caribbean the most unequal region in the world. Social inequality is a historical characteristic of the region, but at the beginning of the 21st century, a handful of progressive governments seemed to be adopting policies that could reduce this historical trend. Many of these efforts, however, were blocked or reversed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which both exposed the persistence of historical trends and contributed to the emergency of new forms of inequality in the region. The different chapters in this contributed volume adopt a multidimensional, intersectional, perspective to analyze both the persistence and the emergency of social devices of production and reproduction of inequalities in the diverse Latin American and Caribbean temporal spatialities. The issues analyzed in the different chapters revolve around four main axes: a) persistence of generational and intergenerational inequalities; b) structural gender inequality; c) intertwined social inequalities: race, class and social structure and; c) historical and economic dimension of inequality. Persistence and Emergencies of Inequalities in Latin America: A Multidimensional Approach will be of interest to researchers interested in the study of social inequality and social justice in different fields of the human and social sciences, such as sociology, political science, history, economics, anthropology and education. It will also be a valuable tool for policy makers and social activists engaged in the discussion, advocacy and implementation of public policies aimed at reducing social inequalities.

  • Release : 1986-11-15
  • ISBN : 9780226741413

Download or read book Beyond Nihilism written by Ofelia Schutte and published by University of Chicago Press. This book was released on 1986-11-15 with total page 254 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nietzsche is regarded by some as a great liberator, a thinker far more radical than Marx. For others, he is an ideologue of power, a spokesman for domination, a protofascist. Ofelia Schutte holds that these conflicting assessments result from a failure to distinguish between two paradigms of power found in Nietzsche's work: power as recurring energy and power as domination. Schutte uses this fundamental distinction to analyze comprehensively Nietzsche's metaphysics, ethics, and politics. She addresses both the positive and the negative in the whole of his thought, seeking to read Nietzsche 'without masks'--without the cultural and intellectual biases of many of his previous interpreters.

Book Moral Play and Counterpublic

Download or read book Moral Play and Counterpublic written by Ineke Murakami and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2011-02-25 with total page 301 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this study, Murakami overturns the misconception that popular English morality plays were simple medieval vehicles for disseminating conservative religious doctrine. On the contrary, Murakami finds that moral drama came into its own in the sixteenth century as a method for challenging normative views on ethics, economics, social rank, and political obligation. From its inception in itinerate troupe productions of the late fifteenth century, "moral play" served not as a cloistered form, but as a volatile public forum. This book demonstrates how the genre’s apparently inert conventions—from allegorical characters to the battle between good and evil for Mankind’s soul—veiled critical explorations of topical issues. Through close analysis of plays representing key moments of formal and ideological innovation from 1465 to 1599, Murakami makes a new argument for what is at stake in the much-discussed anxiety around the entwined social practices of professional theater and the emergent capitalist market. Moral play fostered a phenomenon that was ultimately more threatening to ‘the peace’ of the realm than either theater or the notorious market--a political self-consciousness that gave rise to ephemeral, non-elite counterpublics who defined themselves against institutional forms of authority.
