Book excerpt: God Gives the Best Thing in Life In reading my book, Proven Ministry, not only you will know Jesus Christ and divine intimacy, but also other key topics. You will know topics like new level, Holy Spirit fresh touch, dynamic ministry, gospel impact, Christian living and 21st Century move. You will realize that the Lord Jesus Christ wants you also to be the best person and do the best in your profession. He wants you to have intimacy with him and do world service. You will discover three places that God took Paul the great apostle, to become a witness of Jesus Christ and minister of the gospel. What are these three places of great interest? Good question! Relax and receive the answer. The three places with God are Arabia, Antioch and Athens. Now each place has a significance. Firstly, Arabia is a place of devotion with Jesus Christ. Secondly, Antioch is a place of local church, where you receive pastoral ministry. Thirdly, Then comes the top place of all, which is Athens. It was at Athens that the apostle Paul did his world service away than church service at Antioch. God wants you to experience devotion with the Lord Jesus Christ, be part of a local church and have a pastor (sound minister), and finally do world service in your lifetime. You will also know two places of giving, known as Macedonia and Achaia. These two places of gold and silver supported financially the gospel ministry and apostleship of Paul. And finally you will know the godly couple of Aquila and Priscilla, who are living testimony to us all. That as a Christian couple, you too can worship and serve God together. My aim to write this book: Proven Ministry is so that the Holy Spirit may teach you, impart and make a testimony in your life. Seek the Lord Jesus Christ, be the best person and do the best in your profession ministry. Find divine intimacy with Jesus Christ and do world service to the people near you and far, both local and global. This is the best time (21st Century) to impact the world by the gospel of God.

Book Ministering to Today s Adults

Download or read book Ministering to Today s Adults written by Kenneth O. Gangel and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2006-02-01 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Adult ministry poses a unique challenge to churches today -- a challenge that many of us fail to meet adequately. The tragic result is an exodus of the best and brightest from our pews, not because these people have changed their theology or abandoned God. They just don't find much at church that seems immediately relevant or compelling. For nearly fifty years Kenneth O. Gangel has been teaching church leaders how to do adult ministry right. In this volume he has distilled his insights into an easy-to-grasp-and-apply analysis of what it takes to capture the attention and guarantee the participation of adults in your church, including: * Specific advice based on ages, genders, and circumstances peculiar to certain ministries * Proven, cutting-edge curriculum models that can revitalize your church's adult instruction * Contemporary solutions to the most common problems we encounter in ministering to today's adults Whether they know it or not, even those who are lagging in church attendance and distancing themselves from other believers still need the time-proven, heaven-given blessings only the church can offer them. As you read this book, Gangel will give you fresh ideas about how to draw these drifters back into the fold. The real-life stories he tells and the successful strategies he outlines may strike in your heart some spark of imagination and renewed commitment that will help you to bring new life to the adult ministry of the church you serve.

Book Growing A Healthy Church

Download or read book Growing A Healthy Church written by Dann Spader and published by Moody Publishers. This book was released on 1993-10-09 with total page 243 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Sheep swapping", "shuffling of the saints"- Whatever you call it, many churches are growing only because Christians transfer from one church to another. What's more, many churches aren't growing at all. The problem, according to authors, Dann Spader and Gary Mayes, is that too many church calendars are filled with outdated, mediocre programs that have become more of a burden than a blessing. That, coupled with the fact that these programs minister almost exclusively to Christians, leaves little for the non-Christian "seeker" to get excited about. Growing a Healthy Church is not a list of trendy new programs for your church agenda. It is a journey of rediscovery. Spader and Mayes look closely at the four stages of spiritual growth in relation to outreach. Using the innovative "M-level" system, these gifted men show how a church can minister to all individuals regardless of their levels of maturity in potential service. This helps eliminate the mistakes of forcing new Christians into service that may overwhelm them or may leave the mature Christian unchallenged. Proven successful through SonLife and churches who have used this system, this resource will help you focus on the simplicity of Christ's ministry, enabling you to build an effective discipling strategy for your church.

Book Proven Men

    Book Details:
  • Author : Joel Hesch
  • Publisher :
  • Release : 2013-08
  • ISBN : 9781940011066
  • Pages : 60 pages

Download or read book Proven Men written by Joel Hesch and published by . This book was released on 2013-08 with total page 60 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a weekly guide for two men meeting in accountability as Network Partners while using The 12-Week Study to a PROVEN Path to Sexual Integrity. Linking up with other Proven Men is one of six essential elements to the "Proven Path" leading to lasting victory over struggles with sexual integrity. Networking is often the one missing ingredient and the reason so many men's lives are like a rollercoaster with respect to purity. Let's face it; we all need accountability. But we also need support and encouragement. When you wrap these together, we call it a network partner. In fact, God designed you to be connected to others in such a manner that lasting freedom normally won't work unless you walk the road to victory together with a network partner. Not everyone has access to a Proven Men support group, so we've also created this guide for two men to meet weekly as network partners. The process is quite simple. Each man works through the companion 12-week Study, and for 13 weeks they meet weekly together to discuss what they learned and how to apply it in their lives. This guide takes men step by step through each hourly meeting each week. The guide even includes discussion questions and establishes a structure for the meetings so everyone will be able to confidently engage in biblical networking. This guide is different from our other Leader's Guide, named The Leaders Guide to Hosting Support Groups Using the 12-Week Workbook to a PROVEN Path to Sexual Integrity, because that guide equips a man to form and lead small support groups. This guide is for two men meeting together; but neither man needs to be a leader. It works perfectly well for two men who each are struggling with sexual integrity and are willing to include the essential networking element of a Proven Life. It's time to join the brotherhood of Proven Men and link up with a network partner while working through The 12-Week Study to a PROVEN Path to Sexual Integrity.

Book The 10 Key Roles of a Pastor

Download or read book The 10 Key Roles of a Pastor written by Gary L. McIntosh and published by Baker Books. This book was released on 2021-06-08 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If most pastors were pressed to describe an average day of ministry, they'd have trouble doing it. In a single day, a pastor may fill many different roles in quick succession, from counselor to theologian to student to CEO to custodian (well, let's hope there's usually someone else available to perform that last role). Some roles come more naturally than others, but every pastor wants to perform each role to the best of their ability. In The 10 Key Roles of a Pastor, church consultant Gary L. McIntosh shows pastors how to - understand and juggle their many essential roles - prioritize their time and energy - manage their people's expectations of them - and empower others to take up the vital work of the church body Pastors just starting out in ministry, as well as those who have been at it a while and find themselves overworked and overwhelmed, will value this practical resource. It is also an enlightening read for those in church leadership who would benefit from understanding the pressures their pastor faces on a daily basis.
