You're either going to die or go to jail." It was the sign Dorinda needed to take the step to leave her problematic life behind and embrace faith in God. This belief did not stem from a religious upbringing, but from an ingrained knowledge of His existence.Dorinda asked an aunt if she could move into her home in the suburbs. It was her way of distancing herself far from the street life that led to crime, depression and lack of hope.Although her bold decision didn't stop her problems immediately, Dorinda was now in a better position to make positive moves towards improving her life. She worked a 9 to 5 job, married and had three children. Plus, she was able to help her mother recover from a life of prostitution and crack addiction.Dorinda lifted herself professionally as well, starting as a temp at a Fortune 100 company. She stayed, persevered and rose through the ranks to become a top-level corporate executive.
