Book New Correlation Coefficients between Linguistic Neutrosophic Numbers and Their Group Decision Making Method

Download or read book New Correlation Coefficients between Linguistic Neutrosophic Numbers and Their Group Decision Making Method written by Yanfei Zhu and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 10 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since linguistic neutrosophic numbers (LNNs) are depicted independently by the truth, indeterminacy, and falsity linguistic variables in indeterminate and inconsistent linguistic environment, they are very fit for human thinking and expressing habits to judgments of complex objects in real life world. Then the correlation coefficient is a critical mathematical tool in pattern recognition and decision making science, but the related research was rarely involved in LNN setting. Hence, this work first proposes two new correlation coefficients of LNNs based on the correlation and information energy of LNNs as the complement/extension of our previous work, and then develops a multiple criteria group decision making (MCGDM) method based on the proposed correlation coefficients in LNN setting. Lastly, a decision making example is provided to illustrate the applicability of the developed method. By comparison with the MCGDM methods regarding the existing correlation coefficients based on the maximum and minimum operations of LNNs, the decision results indicate the effectiveness of the developed MCGDM approach. Hence, the proposed approach provides another new way for linguistic neutrosophic decision making problems.

Book excerpt: "Spurious Correlations ... is the most fun you'll ever have with graphs." -- Bustle Military intelligence analyst and Harvard Law student Tyler Vigen illustrates the golden rule that "correlation does not equal causation" through hilarious graphs inspired by his viral website. Is there a correlation between Nic Cage films and swimming pool accidents? What about beef consumption and people getting struck by lightning? Absolutely not. But that hasn't stopped millions of people from going to tylervigen.com and asking, "Wait, what?" Vigen has designed software that scours enormous data sets to find unlikely statistical correlations. He began pulling the funniest ones for his website and has since gained millions of views, hundreds of thousands of likes, and tons of media coverage. Subversive and clever, Spurious Correlations is geek humor at its finest, nailing our obsession with data and conspiracy theory.

Book Correlation Coefficient Measures of Interval Bipolar Neutrosophic Sets for Solving Multi Attribute Decision Making Problems

Download or read book Correlation Coefficient Measures of Interval Bipolar Neutrosophic Sets for Solving Multi Attribute Decision Making Problems written by Surapati Pramanik and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 10 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Interval bipolar neutrosophic set is a significant extension of interval neutrosophic set where every element of the set comprises of three independent positive membership functions and three independent negative membership functions. In this study, we first define correlation coefficient, and weighted correlation coefficient measures of interval bipolar neutrosophic sets and prove their basic properties.

Book Correlation Risk Modeling and Management

Download or read book Correlation Risk Modeling and Management written by Gunter Meissner and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2013-12-19 with total page 268 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A thorough guide to correlation risk and its growing importance in global financial markets Ideal for anyone studying for CFA, PRMIA, CAIA, or other certifications, Correlation Risk Modeling and Management is the first rigorous guide to the topic of correlation risk. A relatively overlooked type of risk until it caused major unexpected losses during the financial crisis of 2007 through 2009, correlation risk has become a major focus of the risk management departments in major financial institutions, particularly since Basel III specifically addressed correlation risk with new regulations. This offers a rigorous explanation of the topic, revealing new and updated approaches to modelling and risk managing correlation risk. Offers comprehensive coverage of a topic of increasing importance in the financial world Includes the Basel III correlation framework Features interactive models in Excel/VBA, an accompanying website with further materials, and problems and questions at the end of each chapter

Book Advances in Digital Image Correlation DIC

Download or read book Advances in Digital Image Correlation DIC written by Jean-Noël Périé and published by MDPI. This book was released on 2020-04-21 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Digital image correlation (DIC) has become the most popular full field measurement technique in experimental mechanics. It is a versatile and inexpensive measurement method that provides a large amount of experimental data. Because DIC takes advantage of a huge variety of image modalities, the technique allows covering a wide range of space and time scales. Stereo extends the scope of DIC to non-planar cases, which are more representative of industrial use cases. With the development of tomography, digital volume correlation now provides access to volumetric data, enabling the study of the inner behavior of materials and structures. However, the use of DIC data to quantitatively validate models or accurately identify a set of constitutive parameters remains challenging. One of the reasons lies in the compromises between measurement resolution and spatial resolution. Second, the question of the boundary conditions is still open. Another reason is that the measured displacements are not directly comparable with usual simulations. Finally, the use of full field data leads to new computational challenges.
