In the midst of serious warnings for the unrepentant, the book of Hosea offers hope that no matter how far a relationship may have broken down, there are none which cannot be restored. In particular, our relationship with God can be renewed by his forgiveness and grace.

I came across Richard Nixon’s words: “If you want to explore politics, don’t read political science books, but read religion, philosophy, and literature.” Based on my personal experience, Nixon’s quote needs to be revised and expanded. If you want to explore the human spirit and the character, watch a good film. Contemplate and live it as if you were engaged in the events taking place in the film.
