Download or read book The Dynamics Between Entrepreneurship Environment and Education written by Alain Fayolle and published by Edward Elgar Publishing. This book was released on 2008-01-01 with total page 325 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book. . . does exactly what the editors say it does, it delivers a rich variety of European research. . . it comprehensively inspires important and worthwhile dialogue. Anne M.J. Smith, International Journal of Entrepreneurship & Innovation This overview of the current research in the field will provide academics, researchers and policy makers with new insights through which to understand the contextual dimensions and the broadening aspects of the current state-of-the-art in European research. International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education The authors of the chapters offer a broad variety of topics and approaches that significantly contribute to the understanding of changes in society, and the diversity of the contexts in which entrepreneurship occurs. I am convinced that the book will inspire a dialogue, not only among researchers, but also between research and policy-makers in order that the changes and dynamics of society be better understood. From the foreword by Hans Landström, Lund University, Sweden This book introduces the expanding European dialogue between entrepreneurship, environment and education. It considers the shape, dimensions and horizon of this multidisciplinary landscape in entrepreneurship research. The striking differences and contradictions in entrepreneurial activities, readiness and innovativeness within European countries and the proactive attitude and activities of European competitors impose a demand for a better understanding of the complex dynamics. The Dynamics between Entrepreneurship, Environment and Education reflects how the European landscape of entrepreneurship research is now more complex than ever. It presents an overview of the current state of entrepreneurship research in Europe and also reflects on the future directions of research in this field. The dynamics between entrepreneurship and society are evaluated, and the discussion is then continued from an education perspective. The authors also focus on the ability and capability of different kinds of ventures to compete in different contexts. This comprehensive overview of the current research in the field will provide academics, researchers and policy-makers with new insights through which to understand the contextual dimensions and the broadening aspects of the current state-of-the-art in European research.

As a result, within this broad research field, very little academic work has focused on how to implement their relationship at an operational level. This book proposes a joint diagnostic tool for SMEs, highlighting good practices to be mastered in order to simultaneously improve innovation and export performance, in the form of a virtuous circle. Book The Importance of Entrepreneurship in Fostering Economic Progress

Download or read book The Importance of Entrepreneurship in Fostering Economic Progress written by Abdelli, Mohammed El Amine and published by IGI Global. This book was released on 2023-10-09 with total page 221 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Despite most societies having recognized the vital role of entrepreneurship in driving economic progress, there is still a lack of understanding of the components of innovation, entrepreneurship, and growth and the relationship between microeconomic foundations of development and macroeconomic outcomes. Moreover, the impact of new venture competitiveness and performance, growth, and survival, the evolution of industries, and the location and influence of entrepreneurial activity all demand more advanced study and analysis. Insights into recent developments in the dynamics that support knowledge generation, diffusion, and commercialization through innovation and the role of the entrepreneur in the growth process will expand the understanding of this vital connection. The Importance of Entrepreneurship in Fostering Economic Progress is edited by Mohammed El Amine Abdelli, and is an essential read for academics, students, and researchers interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the connection between entrepreneurship driving economic progress. Leading scholars in various fields such as management, entrepreneurship, industrial economics, evolutionary economics, innovation and technological change, regional economics, and public policy have come together to examine and discuss the impact of entrepreneurship on employment, the crucial role of technological innovation on economic growth, and the impact of the entrepreneurial economy on public policy. By exploring the regulation design influencing knowledge creation, ownership, entry barriers, labor mobility, and inefficient financial markets, this book offers relevant policy implications for policymakers seeking to design effective entrepreneurship policies to foster economic development, employment, and global competitiveness.

Book Developmental Modal and Pathological Variation Linguistic and Cognitive Profiles for Speakers of Linguistically Proximal Languages and Varieties

Download or read book Developmental Modal and Pathological Variation Linguistic and Cognitive Profiles for Speakers of Linguistically Proximal Languages and Varieties written by Kleanthes K. Grohmann and published by Frontiers Media SA. This book was released on 2018-11-08 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One significant area of research in the multifaceted field of bilingualism over the past two decades has been the demonstration, validation, and account of the so-called ‘bilingual advantage’. This refers to the hypothesis that bilingual speakers have advanced abilities in executive functions and other domains of human cognition. Such cognitive benefits of bilingualism have an impact on the processing mechanisms active during language acquisition in a way that results in language variation. Within bilingual populations, the notion of language proximity (or linguistic distance) is also of key importance for deriving variation. In addition, sociolinguistic factors can invest the process of language development and its outcome with an additional layer of complexity, such as schooling, language, dominance, competing motivations, or the emergence of mesolectal varieties, which blur the boundaries of grammatical variants. This is particularly relevant for diglossic speech communities—bilectal, bidialectal, or bivarietal speakers. The defined goal of the present Research Topic is to address whether the bilingual advantage extends to such speakers as well. Thus, ‘Linguistic and Cognitive Profiles for Speakers of Linguistically Proximal Languages and Varieties’ become an important matter within ‘Developmental, Modal, and Pathological Variation’.
