This research is essential for better understanding the risk factors for adverse effects related to vibration and for designing more effective interventions to prevent painful and potentially disabling work-related injuries. This conference addressed contemporary issues regarding occupational health, prevention measures, and scientific data collection used to study the complex, dynamic human response to vibration. The agenda included a rich and diverse scientific program as researchers and medical professionals from around the world gathered to examine human responses to hand-transmitted vibration and whole-body vibration.

In a world of work that is becoming more and more complex, combined exposures are also becoming increasingly relevant.
