Download or read book PROBLEME HYPERBOLIQUE NON LINEAIRE PERTURBE PAR UN TERME DE CONVOLUTION written by Alain Dimier and published by . This book was released on 1988 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: DANS LA PREMIERE PARTIE ON CONSIDERE UNE EQUATION QUASI-LINEAIRE DU 1ER ORDRE COMPORTANT UN TERME DE CONVOLUTION WXH(U) ET ASSOCIEE A UNE CONDITION INITIALE UO(X). LE NOYAU DE CONVOLUTION W EST DE CLASSE G ET INTEGRABLE H EST LOCALEMENT LIPSCHITZIENNE. ON ETABLIT L'EXISTENCE GLOBALE OU LOCALE DES SOLUTIONS FAIBLES PAR UNE METHODE DE VISCOSITE, AINSI QUE L'UNICITE DE LA SOLUTION ENTROPIQUE. ON PRESENTE DES RESULTATS NUMERIQUES OBTENUS A PARTIR DU SCHEMA D'ORDRE I D'ENGQUIEST-OSHER. L'UTILISATION DANS LE CONTEXTE PRECEDENT D'UNE T.F.R. CONDUIT A ETUDIER LES PROBLEMES HYPERBOLIQUES DANS LE CADRE DES METHODES SPECTRALES. ON EXPOSE UNE METHODE NUMERIQUE PERMETTANT D'APPROCHER UNE SOLUTION V(X,T) POSSEDANT DES DISCONTINUITES DE PERMIERE ESPECE. CETTE SOLUTION EST CONSTRUITE A PARTIR DE LA DECOMPOSITION SOUS LA FORME D'UNE PARTIE REGULIERE R(X,T) PLUS UNE FONCTION C(X,T) TRADUISANT LES DIFFERENTES DISCONTINUITES QU'ELLE COMPORTE. ON PEUT CHOISIR DIVERS DEGRES DE REGULARITE. ON REECRIT L'EQUATION DONT U EST SOLUTION SOUS LA FORME D'UN SYSTEME COUPLE PORTANT SUR R ET C. LA FONCTION A SATISFAIT ESSENTIELLEMENT L'EQUATION INITIALE, MODULO DES TERMES DE COUPLAGE ISUS DE C. CETTE ETUDE EST TOUT D'ABORD REALISEES POUR DES EQUATIONS HYPERBOLIQUES SCALAIRES LINEAIRES A UNE ET DEUX DIMENSIONS D'ESPACE. UNE ETUDE SIMILAIRE EST PRESENTEE POUR DES PROBLEMES HYPERBOLIQUES NON LINEAIRES. COMME LA SOLUTION PEUT DEVELOPPER AU COURS DU TEMPS DES DISCONTINUITES ON UTILISE DES TECHNIQUES DE CAPTURE DE CHOCS, AFIN D'ANALYSER LEUR AMPLITUDE ET LEUR POSITION. L'ETUDE NUMERIQUE EST REALISEE POUR L'EQUATION BURGERS A UNE DIMENSION D'ESPACE

This book was released on 1986 with total page 41 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: IL EST CONNU Q'UNE SOLUTION CONTINUE DU PROBLEME DE CAUCHY RELATIF A UN SYSTEME NON LINEAIRE N'EXISTE QUE DANS UN VOISINAGE DES DONNEES INITIALES, NOUS NOUS PROPOSONS D'OBSERVER L'EXPLOSION DE LA SOLUTION EN FONCTION DE DONNEES REGULIERES A SUPPORT COMPACT. ON CONSIDERE UN SYSTEME HYPERBOLIQUE NON LINEAIRE DU PREMIER ORDRE D'EQUATIONS AUX DERIVEES PARTIELLES. LA THESE SE COMPOSE DE DEUX PARTIES. DANS LA PREMIERE PARTIE, NOUS RAPPELONS LE CAS D'UNE VARIABLE SPACIALE, RESOLU ANALYTIQUEMENT, LORSQUE LE SYSTEME SE REDUIT A UNE EQUATION A UNE INCONNUE, A UN SYSTEME DE DEUX EQUATIONS A DEUX INCONNUES, PUIS A UN SYSTEME DE K EQUATIONS A K INCONNUES, ET OBSERVONS L'EXPLOSION DE LA SOLUTION EN RAISON INVERSE DE L'AMPLITUDE DES DONNEES INITIALES SI LE SYSTEME EST STRICTEMENT HYPERBOLIQUE ET VERITABLEMENT NON LINEAIRE. DANS LA DEUXIEME PARTIE, NOUS TRAITONS LE CAS DE N VARIABLES SPACIALES DONT LA RESOLUTION ANALYTIQUE PARAIT PLUS DIFFICILE. POUR CE FAIT, NOUS CONSTRUISONS UN DEVELOPPEMENT ASYMPTOTIQUE FORMEL DE LA SOLUTION AU VOISINAGE D'UNE SOLUTION DONNEE. LES TERMES DU DEVELOPPEMENT, RAPPORTES A UNE BASE DE VECTEURS PROPRES DE LA MATRICE CARACTERISTIQUE, SONT DETERMINES AU MOYEN D'EQUATIONS DIFFERENTIELLES ORDINAIRES LE LONG DES BICARACTERISTIQUES DU SYSTEME. NOUS REMARQUONS ALORS L'EXPLOSION DU PREMIER TERME ET PAR CONSEQUENT DE LA SOLUTION EN RAISON INVERSE DE L'AMPLITUDE DES DONNEES INITIALES, LORSQUE LE SYSTEME EST STRICTEMENT HYPERBOLIQUE ET VERITABLEMENT NON LINEAIRE DANS LE SENS ADMIS GENERALEMENT

Book Perturbations singuli res d quations non lin aires de diffusion convection mod lisant des coulements diphasiques incompressibles en milieu poreux

Download or read book Perturbations singuli res d quations non lin aires de diffusion convection mod lisant des coulements diphasiques incompressibles en milieu poreux written by Marie-Josée Jasor and published by . This book was released on 1992 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Lectures on Representations of Surface Groups

Download or read book Lectures on Representations of Surface Groups written by François Labourie and published by . This book was released on 2013 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The subject of these notes is the character variety of representations of a surface group in a Lie group. The author emphasizes the various points of view (combinatorial, differential, and algebraic) and is interested in the description of its smooth points, symplectic structure, volume and connected components. He also shows how a three manifold bounded by the surface leaves a trace in this character variety. These notes were originally designed for students with only elementary knowledge of differential geometry and topology. In the first chapters, the author does not focus on the details of the differential geometric constructions and refers to classical textbooks, while in the more advanced chapters proofs occasionally are provided only for special cases where they convey the flavor of the general arguments. These notes might also be used by researchers entering this fast expanding field as motivation for further studies. The concluding paragraph of every chapter provides suggestions for further research.

Book Water Flow and Solute Transport in Soils

Download or read book Water Flow and Solute Transport in Soils written by David Russo and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 323 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A year has passed since Eshel Bresler, my good friend and colleague, and a member of the editorial board of the Advanced Series in Agricultural Sciences, died suddenly while on a visit to the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. We had worked together for almost 30 years at the Institute of Soils and Water, ARO, The Volcani Center at Bet Dagan. At the very beginning of our scientific careers we cooperated directly and as a result one of our first publications was coauthored (Soil Sci. 101:205-209, 1966). Thereafter, our specific research interests diver sified, but we continued to work together, with similar approaches to research, and to strive towards the development of Israel soil science and its integration into general worldwide scientific progress. I don't need to emphasize Eshel's contribution to the understan ding of the processes governing water flow and solute transport pro cesses in soils and unsaturated zones. The contributions to this Volume by such a body of outstanding scientists shows the apprecia tion of the international scientific community to his research achievements.

Book Soil Water Solute Process Characterization

Download or read book Soil Water Solute Process Characterization written by Javier Alvarez-Benedi and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2019-09-23 with total page 816 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The practitioner or researcher often faces complex alternatives when selecting a method to characterize properties governing a soil process. After years of research and development, environmental and agricultural professionals now have an array of methods for characterizing soil processes. Well-established methods, however, may not be suitable for the specific conditions of a study since many soil characteristics are intrinsically variable. An objective, integrated approach for soil characterization is needed to more effectively quantify parameters. Soil-Water-Solute Process Characterization goes beyond technical guidance and addresses the complicating factors such as spatial and temporal variability of soil processes, scale issues, soil structure, and the trade-offs between methods. It focuses on advanced methods for the monitoring and modeling of mass transfer processes in soil. Expert contributors present limitations to well-known methods and alternatives, discussing their practical applications for characterization efforts, evaluating strengths and weaknesses, and focusing on a reduced set of selected techniques. Three in-depth sections cover everything from multidisciplinary approaches for assessing subsurface non-point source pollution to techniques for characterizing water and energy balances at the soil-plant-atmosphere interface, field methods for monitoring soil water status, and computer models for characterizing the effect of chemicals in soil. This single-source reference is transforming method selection and our understanding of the principles, advantages, and limitations of the available monitoring techniques. Written in a simple and straightforward manner, Soil-Water-Solute Process Characterization is a detailed cookbook and a useful, practical reference for students, practitioners, and researchers.
