Car lorsqu'ils négligent ce point, ils rendent toutes leurs autres explications incomplètes, comme le fait bien voir l'admirable ouvrage intitulé Rapports du physique et du moral, dans lequel Cabanis a réellement posé les vraies bases de toutes nos connaissances philosophiques et médicales.
