Book Nutrition et alimentation des animaux d levage

Download or read book Nutrition et alimentation des animaux d levage written by Christophe Bréchet and published by Educagri Editions. This book was released on 2013 with total page 362 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Recent Developments in Ruminant Nutrition 2

Download or read book Recent Developments in Ruminant Nutrition 2 written by W. Haresign and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 396 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recent Developments in Ruminant Nutrition – 2 presents papers that discuss the advances in the different areas of ruminant nutrition. The book is comprised of 22 chapters that discuss topics such as milk production, health, and nutrition. The coverage of the text includes meeting the nutrient requirements of beef cattle in forage-based systems of production; nutrient requirements of intensively reared beef cattle; and feeding for high margins in dairy cows. The book also tackles issues concerning milk production such as photoperiodic influences on milk production in dairy cows; manipulation of milk yield with growth hormone; and the influence of level and pattern of concentrate input on milk output. The text will be of great use to researchers and professionals in the animal husbandry industry.

Book Recent Advances in Animal Nutrition 1983

Download or read book Recent Advances in Animal Nutrition 1983 written by W. Haresign and published by Butterworth-Heinemann. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recent Advances in Animal Nutrition—1983 is a collection of papers that tackles the nutritional concerns of raising livestock. The text presents 14 studies that are organized into four parts. The first part covers the evaluation of nutritional data. This part discusses the interpretation of response data from animal feeding trials and errors in measurement and their importance in animal nutrition. Next, the book deals with topics relevant to pig nutrition, such as predicting the energy content of pig feeds and the use of fat in sow diets. Part III discusses the systems of calf rearing and milk replacers of calves. The remaining chapters tackle the concerns in ruminant nutrition, including nutritional aspects of high yielding dairy herds and copper in animal feeds. The text will be most useful to both researchers and practitioners of animal related disciplines, such agriculture and veterinary medicine.

Book Recent Advances in Animal Nutrition 1979

Download or read book Recent Advances in Animal Nutrition 1979 written by William Haresign and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 177 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recent Advances in Animal Nutrition-1979 is a collection of studies that tackles the nutritional concerns of both ruminant and non-ruminant livestock. The book presents a total of 11 materials that cover the measurement of nutritional value of feeds up to the inter-relationships between nutrition, body condition, and reproduction of livestock. The text first tackles the nutritional availabilities in livestock diets, and then proceeds to dealing with covering topics related to energy value of feeds, such as energy evaluation of cereals for pig diets; developments of the metabolizable energy system for ruminants; and predicting the metabolizable energy value of feeds for ruminants. The book also covers the effects of cereal processing and growth stimulants on the efficiency of ruminant production. The selection will be most useful to both researchers and practitioners of animal related disciplines, such agriculture and veterinary medicine.

Book INRA feeding system for ruminants

Download or read book INRA feeding system for ruminants written by INRA and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2023-11-27 with total page 639 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The INRA Feeding System for Ruminants has been renewed to better address emerging challenges for animal nutrition: prevision of productive responses, product quality, animal health and emissions to the environment, in a larger extent of breeding contexts. The new system is mainly built from meta-analyses of large data bases, and modelling. The dietary supply model accounts for digestive interactions and flows of individual nutrients, so that feed values depend on the final ration. Animal requirements account for variability in metabolic efficiency. Various productive and non-productive animal responses to diets are quantified. This book presents the whole system for dairy and meat, large and small ruminant production, including specificities for tropical and Mediterranean areas. The first two sections present biological concepts and equations (with their field of application and statistical accuracy) used to predict intake (including at grazing) and nutrient supply (Section 1), animal’s requirements and multiple responses to diets (Section 2). They apply to net energy, metabolisable protein and amino acids, water, minerals and vitamins. Section 3 presents the use of concepts and equations in rationing with two purposes: (1) diet calculation for a given performance objective; and (2) prediction of the multiple responses of animal to diet changes. Section 4 displays the tables of feed values, and their prevision. All the equations and concepts are embedded in the fifth version of INRAtion® software for practical use.
