Book Prescription for Breaking 100 in Golf

Download or read book Prescription for Breaking 100 in Golf written by Terry P. Collinson and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2004-11 with total page 113 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Every golfer wants to score under 100; however, less than 20% are able to play that well. A huge amount of the 80% over 100 could break that 100 barrier if they would make the right decisions while they are playing the game. This book is one of the few golf books that doesn't try to improve the skill level of the golfer, but rather improves his game with the skill that he has. The book is also for the golfer who is just getting started with the game. Even though new golfers are a long ways from being able to break 100, they can still look like they belong, on the golf course by getting to know the proper etiquette and the proper terminology. This book will do that, plus give them a knowledge about the types of games that are commonly played and will give a good understanding of the rules of golf. Even people who do not intend to play golf but enjoy watching it on television should read this book to get a better understanding of the game so watching tournaments will be more enjoyable.

Book The Golfer s Guide to Breaking 100

Download or read book The Golfer s Guide to Breaking 100 written by Golf Duffer and published by . This book was released on 2011-03-18 with total page 60 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book was written with one goal in mind: help the average golfer break 100. Golfers are constantly assaulted by books, TV shows, friends, instructors, other duffers, etc, on how to hit a particular shot. With so many jumbled swing thoughts going through a golfer's head before, during, and after the swing, you inevitably hit a crappy shot that goes nowhere. You may ask yourself "Why the hell is this book so skinny? It must be a real piece of crap". Well, we want you to carry this book in your bag, so when you find yourself clueless on the 2nd hole, you can whip out this book for some helpRather than helping golfer's become frustrated, this book will help clear your mind and focus on each particular shot. Forget how to hit an uphill lie? No problem, turn to page 27 and read the 4 tips you need to know to hit a great shot. Just hit a great tee shot to only find that you landed in a bunker with a plugged lie? Instead of getting pissed and complaining about fried eggs, turn to page 53 and focus on the 6 tips you need to know to get the damn ball out. You may even be able to get up and down, but you may need to brush up on your putting techniques as outlined in the "Putting" section of the book. The tips in this book were combined through surveying club pros from around country. We narrowed down the book to the 25 most common shots along with the key tips on the various shots. This book is not filled with filler or fluff. Rather, we get right to the point and get you the tips you need to know to hit a great shot.Next to each tip, you will find an area to make notes about your particular shot habits. This will be beneficial when making specific notes about your game. For example, the average length of your drive in varying conditions (e.g. wind in your face, no wind, wind at your back). Or, you can make a note of what club works best when hitting a punch shot. For those of you looking for an in-depth book on swing techniques, golf psychology, and other nuances, this book is not for you. Instead, go buy a different book and read it cover to cover. When your game does not improve, come back and buy this book.Note that all tips in this book are based on right-handed golfers. If you are a left-handed golfer, you will need to reverse the instructions, because if you don't, your golf game will be really screwed up!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Talk to any and all golfers, be they Tour professionals or once-a-month country clubbers, and you'll hear that they want to improve their game in some way. But up until now, most expert books on golf instruction have focused only on the approach advocated by a particular teaching pro or famous player; the authors usually talk about "the golf swing" or "the putting stroke" as if there is only one way to do it -- their way. With How to Learn Golf, the first comprehensive guide to contemporary golf instruction, Harry Hurt III will help you become a better golfer by identifying what type of player you really are, and which of the several leading methods are right for you and your golfing goals. Based on Hurt's sessions with all of America's top ten instructors, this book helps you choose between the two main types of golf instruction available -- error correction, which offers a quick fix for a specific swing flaw, and swing development, where the focus is on building the swing from top to bottom. Hurt provides illuminating detail on the most effective approaches to improving each aspect of your golf game: putting, the full swing, the short game, and the all-important mental game. Hurt also includes a biographical listing of the best golf instructors nationwide and where their expertise lies, so you can determine who may be best suited to your needs. And if you've never sought an instructor before or you've had problems communicating with yours, there are two handy worksheets: eighteen questions you should ask your teaching pro and eighteen questions your pro should ask you. From beginners and high handicappers to scratch players and Tiger Woods wannabes, golfers of all skill levels looking to take the next step to improving their games need only look to How to Learn Golf.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Evaluating Performance in Physical Education describes the tools and techniques that can be used by teachers to assess student performance, curriculum, and method of teaching. The book discusses conventional material in evaluating physical education performance through written, fitness tests, and elementary statistics. The text also explains nonparametric statistics, subjective evaluation, and a theoretical model for fitness and performance. The authors review the functions, evaluation, and administration of testing. The authors also explain in more detail subjective evaluation and offer three forms: 1) experience of the teacher; 2) skill to be rated; and 3) length of time for rating. In testing events, nonparametric statistical procedures show more reliability; parametric procedures are preferably to be used in established research stations. The authors also list some guidelines to be followed in evaluating the student such as objectives, assignment of grades, and acceptance of the grading plan. The book also discusses procedures when evaluation involves large groups. The text can assist physical education teachers, school administrators, and educators in evaluating their subject course or curricula.
