Book Substantiation of Requirements for the Purity of the Face Surfaces of Components Serving for the Assembling of Instrument Ball bearing Supports

Download or read book Substantiation of Requirements for the Purity of the Face Surfaces of Components Serving for the Assembling of Instrument Ball bearing Supports written by Yu K. Laptev and published by . This book was released on 1970 with total page 16 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The quality and life of many present-day devices and machines is markedly influenced by the precision of assembling of ball-bearing supports. Misalignment of the axes of bearing races affects the moment of friction, vibration and service life of the supports. To restrict this misalignment, the surfaces of parts serving to mount the bearings must meet high requirements as to precision of location. Thus, in elements of many gyroscopic instruments the off-axial tolerances for cylindrical surfaces and for the perpendicularity of their ends often are small. In such cases, however, the purity of plane surfaces is selected without sufficient substantiation. It is shown that the roughness of plane surfaces of the parts of devices serving to mount ball-bearing supports may introduce errors similar to errors due to off-perpendicular position of these surfaces with respect to the axes of cylindrical surfaces and the off-axiality of these surfaces.
