Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Prayers upon the Prophet ﷺ are among the most important devotions by which the devout have approached Allah. Due to this, many scholars have written treatises and even books on its rulings and merits. It is also for that reason that Qāḍī 'Iyāḍ devoted to it a section of his celebrated work, al-Shifā'. While the section is short, it provides a valuable entry into such literature, distilling rules and benefits for the seeker in brief expressions and beneficial narrations. We selected this section for quick study and review, which will serve both the busy student and the working professional on the go. Al-Shifā bi Taʿrīf Ḥuqūq al-Muṣṭafā, directly translated as, 'The Remedy (or Cure) Through Recognizing the Rights of the Chosen One', is one of the most celebrated works in the genre of Shamā'il. It stands uniquely amongst the works of Qāḍī ʿIyād as his most celebrated effort with many surviving manuscripts and commentaries found throughout the Islamic world. Shamā'il is a genre of works that deals with the life, characteristics, and descriptions of the Prophet ﷺ and his station. Al-Shifā, as it is called for short, stands alone as perhaps the most thorough work in this genre, dealing with both the descriptions of the Prophet ﷺ, his station and his perfections, and with the rulings pertaining to one's belief and treatment of him ﷺ. It is exhaustive in its treatment of the subject, expounding on topics that range from Allah's praise of the Prophet ﷺ and his status and station before Him, to the obligation of loving him and what that entails. In short, the uniqueness of this work can be attributed to its holistic coverage of the Messenger ﷺ.
Download or read book Prayers Upon the Prophet written by Habib Umar Bin Hafiz and published by . This book was released on 2020-11-05 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the age that we live in, our days have become our nights, and our nights have become our days wherein we are continually focusing on matters of this temporary life and turning a blind eye to that which matters, such as the teachings of the best of creation, the one who uttered in a supplication: "O Allah, my Nation, my Nation!", the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This compilation is unique in that each form of prayer highlights the connection between the Messenger ﷺ and the Names and Qualities of Allah ﷻ. In addition, each form includes a unique supplication for the one reciting it. The reciter of these prayers thus finds himself engaging in the remembrance of Allah ﷻ by calling Him through His Most Sublime Names, and asking Him to send prayers and increase the honour and rank of the Messenger ﷺ. By doing this, he obtains the virtues and reward of sending prayers upon the Prophet, and also supplicates to Allah, asking Him such amazing things that we are generally unable to think of when asking of Him. The author, Ḥabīb ʿUmar bin Ḥafīẓ, is a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad. ﷺ, and one of the great luminaries of our time. This salawat collection has been made available to English speakers for whom we ask Allah ﷻ to make it a means to attain proximity, in this life and the Hereafter, to Him ﷻ and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Download or read book Heart Softeners written by Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Salih Al-Uthaymeen and published by . This book was released on 2018-11 with total page 74 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Most Compassionate. Praise to the One Who completed this religion and sent guidance through His Messenger salAllahu 'alayhi wa sallam. To begin: Every so often our daily lives preoccupy us and turn us away from Allah's promise. When we walk out of our homes, turn on the radio, TV, or Internet, we are distracted by the evils we see and hear. As result of immorality and unashamed disobedience, our hearts grow hard and distant from Allah and His Messenger's call. We know the message of Islam is true, but we are weak due to the rigidity of our heart, spirit and mind. In times like these, we need something to penetrate that stiffness. We need a remedy to soften that hardness and the inflexibility of our choices. Disunity and harshness afflicts this Ummah today. Consequently, many people have turned away from brotherhood, caring, and even Islam itself. Their hearts have transformed into dwellings of complete hatred for a sinner, disdain toward the weak Muslim, and jealousy of their successful brother or sister.I have selected some ahaadeeth from the most authentic book after the Qur'aan to soften the hearts in our chests. I used Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih Al-'Uthaymeen's explanations for the ahaadeeth selected. The ahaadeeth selected come from a book in Imam Al-Bukhari's collection titled Riqaq: Heart Softeners. This chapter brings tears to one's eyes, fear to one's mind, and most importantly it diminishes the rigidity in one's heart. I ask Allah to make the translation and compilation solely for His pleasure. I pray to Allah for acceptance of this deed and His mercy in the Hereafter.Abu Aaliyah Abdullah ibn Dwight Battle Ramadan 18th, 1433Doha, Qatar (c)

Book excerpt: Blessings of Ṣalawāt: Upon the Holy Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ is a practical spiritual manual concisely organized to better understand the importance of conferring blessings upon the Beloved Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ. This work is the second title in the Wirdul ʿAam Series. The series outlines the Spiritual significance of the Wirdul ʿAam Dhikr formulated by Imam Abul Ḥasan Ash-Shādhilī (RA), as it pertains to the Dhikr of Ṣalawāt or the conferring of blessings upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Almighty Allah ﷻ directs us in Sūratul Aḥzāb, "Verily, Allah and His angels send blessings on the Messenger of Allah. O you who believe, invoke blessings on him, and salute him with a worthy salutation." Our purpose of invoking blessings upon the Beloved ﷺ leads to close proximity to Almighty Allah ﷻ by obeying this command, while simultaneously fulfilling our rights upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. It is crystal clear how important the invocation of Ṣalawāt is for the believer, and it is a Mercy of Almighty Allah ﷻ for its rewards to be multitudinous. Abundant Ṣalawāt upon the Beloved ﷺ leads to loving him and knowing his beautiful qualities. By that virtue, degrees of purity are realized. From the signs of the people of the Sunnah is sending Ṣalawāt upon him, for the key to all goodness is Ṣalawāt upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

Generally known by its short title, Ash-Shifa, this work was so highly admired throughout the Muslim world that it soon acquired a sanctity of its own for it is said: "If Ash-Shifa is found in a house, this house will not suffer any harm... when a sick person reads it or it is recited to him, Allah will restore his health." Ash-Shifa gathers together all that is necessary to acquaint the reader with the true stature of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with the esteem and respect which is due to him, and with the verdict regarding anyone who does not fulfil what his stature demands or who attempts to denigrate his supreme status - even by as much as a nail paring.
