Book Prayers and Praise in Poetic Phrase

Download or read book Prayers and Praise in Poetic Phrase written by Roderick Shy and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2019-07-22 with total page 153 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jesus explained that "the kingdom of God is within you" (Luke 17:21). Paul, the Apostle, wrote, "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the holy ghost" (Romans 14:17). God, through Jesus Christ, has provided a way for us not only to experience an eternity with Him after breathing our last breath on this side, but that we can experience heaven now. Although, we fall short, there is a righteousness that cannot be taken from us, it is a gift. Regardless of our family stresses, busy schedules, hectic workloads, or the concerns of this increasingly sinful world, we can have inner peace, a peace which surpasses all understanding. Prayer is a very important component in receiving God's promises to us. Prayers and Praise in Poetic Phrase is a collection of acrostic written inspirational, devotional poems, which inspire and encourages the reader, in an interesting thought-provoking way to pray and praise God as we experience God's righteousness, peace, and joy. We have not because we ask not. We can cast our cares upon God for he cares for us. We've been encouraged to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17). This prayer devotional can be shared within a close intimate circle, with family and friends, or in a one-on-one conversation with the father. Book Conversations in the River of Praise

Download or read book Conversations in the River of Praise written by Candace A. Reigle and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2008-11-18 with total page 104 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Prayers are so often just "wish and want' lists, without any sense that anyone is even listening to us. But when we make the effort to listen to others, we can learn some surprising things, and this is true in our relationship to God, as well. In thirty-some years of regular church attendance I should have known of God's love. But knowing of something, and actually experiencing it, are two very different things. I learned much, and was comforted much, and even changed much, by the pouring out of my heart and God's outpouring of love in return. I offer here the blessings with which I have been blessed. All praise and thanks to God!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I was born to two wonderful Irish parents on a cold winter morning in a small town. They raised me with good moral values. While in high school, I began to write poetry and made cards for the love of my life. His name was John McQuiston. We were wed two years after we graduated. Our love was truly a match made in heaven. Little did I know I would become a widow at age twenty-three. Tragically, he was the victim of a senseless crime. I gave birth to another baby boy shortly after my husband died, so I had two boys to raise. My family was very loving and supportive. I never remarried. My love for John was so strong, and my love for Jesus has carried me through all my years. Recently, I've been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write Christian poetry. I hope you like the poems I have written, and I pray that Jesus will speak to your heart.

Book Blessing and Beseeching

Download or read book Blessing and Beseeching written by Gail Ramshaw and published by Fortress Press. This book was released on 2022-07-26 with total page 91 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As pandemic lockdowns descended across the world, Gail Ramshaw, scholar, author, and liturgist, settled in to read the Scriptures anew. At each biblical book's end, she wrote a prayer inspired by what she encountered. Collected here in a beautifully typeset volume are seventy new prayers that resulted from that work. Surprises and riches are found on every page, as when the book of Leviticus inspires an intercession for guidance in the holy, the book of Esther pleads for good government, and the book of James reminds us of the invisible migrant workers who pick our produce. By turns bold and humble, universal and deeply personal, Ramshaw's poetry in prayer will inspire individual reflection and enrich public worship settings alike.

Book Poems of Praise and Worship

Download or read book Poems of Praise and Worship written by Shane Anders and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2006-12 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most people would define poetry as the rhythm of words or the rambling of one's thoughts. To me, it is not just making words rhyme or the ramblings of thoughts, but rather, putting into words and expressing the deepest feelings of a person's heart. To be enjoyed, poems do not have to contain any type of rhythmic beat, but rather, an arrangement of verses to convey to us beauty and eloquence. For example, Hebrew poetry in the Old Testament, from the book of Job through Song of Solomon, was written to show us the love, wisdom and the awesome power of the almighty God. The poems which I have written were inspired from verses recorded in the Bible. It is my hope that this book will encourage the Christian believer to develop and exercise a spiritual discipline in their every day walk with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Book A Prayer As A Poem For Each Day

Download or read book A Prayer As A Poem For Each Day written by Richard A. Dixon and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2008-02 with total page 390 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book, A PRAYER AS A POEM FOR EACH DAY, gives everyone a spiritual connection with the lifeline of God. Although these poems seem to be primarily for the Christian but you will find that much of the meaning of the words concentrate on the individual as being compassionate and doing the right thing in this world relationship with one and another. The rhyming of the words is like a musical background. Some of the poems help the reader to cope with the hurts and torments of their inner self and understanding the pains of their fellowman. It is prudent that we fundamentally deal with one day at a time to simplify our lives and we should pray daily. This book will be an excellent guideline. Each poem is a story emphasizing the virtues of goodness as tools to resolve problems and to find peace in the spiritual world. I'm Richard A. Dixon, author of this book, A PRAYER AS A POEM FOR EACH DAY, and in this AUTHOR BIO it will give you a genuine insight of a perfect example of a compassionate heart that was initiated by an early foundation of living in a Christian atmosphere with my Grandparents. My religion is my driving force. I have formally written three other books as a series of Spiritual poems. My Bachelor of Science has also helped me in my current writing endeavor. My conclusion is a poetic reminder: This book is not just to read for a day or a week or a month or even a year, this is for a lifetime to build your character and to bring your heart spiritual cheer. PRAY EVERYDAY OF YOUR LIFE TO CONFRONT THE WORLD OF SIN PRAY AND ACQUIRE HOPE AND DIRECTION PRAY AND LIVE UNTIL THE END.

Book Issues of the Heart A Woman s Poetic Guide to Emotional Health and Spiritual Peace

Download or read book Issues of the Heart A Woman s Poetic Guide to Emotional Health and Spiritual Peace written by Tamara Patterson and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2005 with total page 100 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In a world where women are more educated, more powerful, and more equipped to succeed than ever before, sadly, it seems that "common" sense has become a rare luxury for many. A vast number of beautiful, well spoken, intelligent, and influential women are remaining in situations of deceit, abuse, and self-destructive patterns that cast a dark shadow over their lives (and over the lives of those who love them). Many underlying issues contribute to our disturbing behaviors and never ending tolerance for foolishness and unfairness in our relationships. Even so, we've allowed the world's loose representation of love, sex, wisdom, and their version of happiness to taint what women of God should already know as divine truth. The first purpose of Issues of the Heart is to encourage women to take a long, hard, and analytical second look at their current involvements - and not only ask, how did I get here? But, should I remain here? Second, Issues of the Heart provides wisdom, strength, and encouragement through sound biblical instruction, to move from bad situations to deliverance, emotional healing, and spiritual peace. Addressing issues that are far too often considered taboo in the church, Issues of the Heart covers a variety of topics from sex, bad choices in men, and eating disorders, to death, friends, work performance, and the absence of the father. Assuring them that they are not alone in their struggles, Issues of the Heart helps women take Satan by the horns and cast him out of their lives! Through poetry, straight talk, scriptures, and prayer, the overall message remains the same: Regardless of your past, your mistakes, your pains, or regrets, God desires to give you peace and heal the issues of your heart.
