Book PUSH Pray Until Something Happens

Download or read book PUSH Pray Until Something Happens written by Jurgen Matthesius and published by Thomas Nelson. This book was released on 2014-08-12 with total page 248 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This revolutionary book will explain what God wants for and from us when we petition Him for his will to manifest “on Earth as it is in Heaven,” and how to understand the difference. Do you ever feel as if, despite your spirituality and faith, something significant is missing? Most teenagers and college students, as well as tens of millions of adults, are still striving to figure out the purpose and meaning of their lives. The natural struggle for faith in something intangible can be compounded by incorrect teachings and contradictory explanations of the workings of God in our lives. How does “free will” really work? What does it mean to ask for God’s will? When things happen in life, how do you really know whether that is God’s will? Is there really any point in praying for His will if we can’t influence it? These haunting personal questions became the genesis of PUSH as Matthesius sought answers. Now, he unpacks the powerful biblical truths he learned—the result of deep revelation from discovering God and constantly seeking to know him with all his heart. PUSH is about helping you discover God’s dream for your life so you become the blessing you were meant to be. It is about helping you truly embrace the power of prayer and understand what that means instead of simply treating it as a platitude you offer when someone is struggling. This book will instill confidence and promote vision. PUSH will stir you to take action, to remain vigilant, and Pray Until Something Happens.

Book Pray Until Something Happens

Download or read book Pray Until Something Happens written by Peter Kimathi and published by Booktango. This book was released on 2016-05-09 with total page 32 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pray until something happens (PUSH) is a topic of the moment that is worth your concern. Do you pray expecting the result or just casually? What has denied most result is the failure to fathom the significant of the term “until” we receive our petition. Since it is biblical anchored and “already” proven principle, Why should it not happen in your life now? There is only one step you miss to victory that is to “hold on” the word of God in faith and prayers despite the opposing situation. This is what we learn from the heroes of faith who faced similar troubles but challenged God to honour his word and he honoured their faith.

Book DANGEROUS PRAYERS PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS

Download or read book DANGEROUS PRAYERS PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS written by DENNIS ADJEI-SARPONG and published by DENNIS ADJEI SARPONG. This book was released on 2012-04-02 with total page 37 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: And he spake a parable unto them to this end that men ought always to pray, and not faint…Luke 18:1 From this we realized that prayer is the foundation, central and core pillar of Christianity that triggers all the exploits of the miraculous believer. In buttressing this point, we realize that the master’s disciples’ according to the eleventh chapter of Luke said Lord teach us how to pray as ………The disciples had walked with Jesus and had seen him working miracles, doing greater works, teaching and preaching, prophesying and healing yet they requested not any of these things but said Lord ‘’teach us how to pray..”. This is to say that, they caught the revelation secret of the master as getting things done in his ministry was how he could attract the attention of heaven through PRAYER. I still do not understand why the disciples did not say : Lord pray for us or Lord pray with us but Lord teach us. This means everyone can pray but everyone cannot receive answers to their prayer DANGEROUS PRAYERS

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: P.U.S.H. (Pray Until Something Happens) Hannah was excited to head back home to where she spent her youth days in a peaceful countryside. The joyous reunion turned into a nightmare when a freak accident flung Hannah off the back of the tractor which landed her under the huge back wheel. She woke up trapped in a hospital bed, plagued by excruciating nightmares when she discovers that her nightmares were manifesting themselves into reality. Her world was turned upside down from the physical and psychological injuries she suffered. Her dreams were shattered when her husband’s betrayal resulted in a divorce. Instead of growing old together Hannah was confronted with the reality of selling her home that represented stability and facing financial insecurity. This was the last straw when her business doors had to close. It was like an eclipse, the darkness briefly covering her life. Her heartache and pain were unwelcome intruders. Sorrow seemed to stalk Hannah as she reflected and grappled with the perplexing questions, trying to understand where it went wrong. In spite of the injustice she was driven by a sense of purpose and prayed more fervently than ever before. Her faith and trust in God kept her determined because beyond the darkness there was light.

Book Where the Light Fell

Download or read book Where the Light Fell written by Philip Yancey and published by Convergent Books. This book was released on 2023-03-14 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this searing meditation on the bonds of family and the allure of extremist faith, one of today’s most celebrated Christian writers recounts his unexpected journey from a strict fundamentalist upbringing to a life of compassion and grace—a revelatory memoir that “invites comparison to Hillbilly Elegy” (Publishers Weekly, starred review). “Searing, heartrending . . . This stunning tale reminds us that the only way to keep living is to ask God for the impossible: love, forgiveness, and hope.”—Kate Bowler, New York Times bestselling author of Everything Happens for a Reason Raised by an impoverished widow who earned room and board as a Bible teacher in 1950s Atlanta, Philip Yancey and his brother, Marshall, found ways to venture out beyond the confines of their eight-foot-wide trailer. But when Yancey was in college, he uncovered a shocking secret about his father’s death—a secret that began to illuminate the motivations that drove his mother to extreme, often hostile religious convictions and a belief that her sons had been ordained for a divine cause. Searching for answers, Yancey dives into his family origins, taking us on an evocative journey from the backwoods of the Bible Belt to the bustling streets of Philadelphia; from trailer parks to church sanctuaries; from family oddballs to fire-and-brimstone preachers and childhood awakenings through nature, music, and literature. In time, the weight of religious and family pressure sent both sons on opposite paths—one toward healing from the impact of what he calls a “toxic faith,” the other into a self-destructive spiral. Where the Light Fell is a gripping family narrative set against a turbulent time in post–World War II America, shaped by the collision of Southern fundamentalism with the mounting pressures of the civil rights movement and Sixties-era forces of social change. In piecing together his fragmented personal history and his search for redemption, Yancey gives testament to the enduring power of our hunger for truth and the possibility of faith rooted in grace instead of fear. “I truly believe this is the one book I was put on earth to write,” says Yancey. “So many of the strands from my childhood—racial hostility, political division, culture wars—have resurfaced in modern form. Looking back points me forward.”

Download or read book P u s h written by Tonya Smith and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2017-10-07 with total page 50 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Praise the Lord everyone. This book on prayer was written in dedication to my dad the late Charles D. Smith Sr. and my mom Virginia. Before my dad passed, he prophesied so many powerful words from the Lord into my life. One of the prophecies was to go get my thesis that I wrote on prayer. He said, "It shall be a best seller." Furthermore, he said to me go collect all my journals. These journals will become self-help books that will help nation upon nation. This book on prayer has been written with these prophesies in mind. Like my father, my mom devoted her life to God. She has always been my prayer partner and I thank God for her every day. She is truly a Proverbs 31 woman and a prayer warrior. Her prayers have served as a catalyst for this book and other books to be written. In addition to the prayers and prophecies of my mother and father, my grandmother taught me from a small child to pray. Up until the last time I saw her before God called her home that is what we did. I can recall standing by her hospital bed praying. Like my father, she too prophesied powerful words from the Lord into my spirit. Prayer has been instilled in me. It is out of my life of prayer and prophecy that I wrote this book, "PUSH". I pray that as you read the pages of this book that you will be educated, equipped and encouraged to keep praying until something happens. I just find myself praying all the time. The truth of about prayer is you don't have to speak it out your mouth. You can simply close your eyes, open your heart and talk to God. Just allow the spirit of the living God to have His way in your life. One of the best ways to do this is by praying without ceasing [See 1Thessalonians 5:16]. You can pray at any time or in any place. Dear reader let me tell you through the power of prayer God has done so many good things for my family and me. Now I pray God's blessings upon you as you read this book from the beginning to the end. May God deliver, heal and set you free from whatever is holding you back or standing in your pathway.

Book Prevailing Prayers of Intercession and Supplication

Download or read book Prevailing Prayers of Intercession and Supplication written by Akinbowale Isaac Adewumi and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2019-12-03 with total page 124 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: THOSE who pray know that prayer gets answered by God. In the ecological culture of prayer and its sublime gestational realm, spiritual phenomena metamorphose into tangible physical realities as a well-sculpted script in its gamut of performance delivery. Divinity rules in the affairs of men on this side of the divide depending on how well-guided prayer pundits are. This book, ‘PREVAILING PRAYERS OF INTERCESSION AND SUPPLICATION GUIDES,’ sets out to sensitize and equip readers by giving a sense of proper direction through a biblical predisposition to the fact that an unanswered prayer is never God’s desire. Prayers channelled through the holy vessels of God are honoured by God. Hence, Psalms 66:18 says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” There are several kinds of prayer but a prayer of intercession involves standing in the gap as a bridge for others’ welfare to turn things around and sustain positive changes. It redirects the vicissitudes of life and makes living much better for both the prospects or targets of prayer and its subjects who can spare time to be with God without selfishness and bitterness. Intercessory prayer moves mountains, removes barriers, breaks yokes or chains, lifts burdens, rolls away sorrows, gives victory in every battle of life, provides calmness in crisis and eases perplexing situations confronting believers and the world itself in its socio-economic and political landscapes. In the same breath, through prayers of supplication, we receive assurance, protection, authority, and dominion. It reveals our dependence on God, takes us to the realm of the supernatural and moves God to act on our behalves. In these last days, believers have to be guided to repair the altar of prayer and get acquainted with God more than ever before according to Job 22:21-30. Many saints of old left us their footprints in the ministry of intercession and supplication among whom are Abraham, Moses, Elijah and a host of others. They were all successful in their time. If only we too would consecrate and commit ourselves to the ministry of intercession and supplication, we will succeed and make enviable marks in our churches, homes, environment, and nations. More importantly, we must believe in the power of intercession in order to activate it, operate in it, practice it and seek God on behalf of others. Premised on the foregoing, our prayers must be fervent, effectual and importunate if we would to get things done and have results. We ourselves must be sold-out to Jesus and develop a loving beauty of spirit for other people as we engage in prayer without ceasing. With our spirit given up to God in intercession, there is hope for our Churches, nations, and ministries. Ultimately, our rewards shall be great from the Good Lord Who does not owe anyone.
