Evidently this dissertation was finished during the war, possibly as early as 1940. Its translation into English in 1955 by Albert Merkens positively influenced the consciousness of the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod, particularly through the propagation of the terms "order of creation" and "order of redemption."
