En conséquence, l'accès aux soins est retardé pour les enfants avec des difficultés d'acquisition de la lecture. Afin de limiter les impacts négatifs de cette problématique sur les enfants et leur famille, nous proposons d'intervenir de façon préventive. Nous avons mis en place une rencontre de prévention avec les parents en recherche d'orthophoniste afin de les conseiller et de les informer sur le langage écrit. Nous leur présentons également des aménagements et activités pour faciliter l'acquisition de la lecture. A plus long terme, nous visons une amélioration du niveau de lecture et un investissement plus important de la famille en cas de prise en charge orthophonique. Au terme de notre action, nous constatons que les parents sont satisfaits d'avoir participé. Certains aménagements ont été instaurés au quotidien, tandis que les activités ciblées peinent à se mettre en place. Notre action confirme également l'importance d'une réflexion sur comment les orthophonistes, malgré les listes d'attente, pourraient accueillir et accompagner ces familles dans un cadre préventif.

Its content is organized around key grammatical themes that form the empirical base of research in generative grammar: nominal and verbal inflectional morphology, subject and object pronouns, complex structures involving movement (topicalizations, questions, relative clauses), and aspects of verb meaning that have consequences for syntax. The book argues that Universal Grammar constrains all instances of language acquisition and that there is a fundamental continuity between monolingual, bilingual, child and adult early grammatical systems. While stressing their similarities with respect to linguistic representations and processes, the book also considers important differences between these three acquisition situations with respect to the outcome of acquisition.
