Book Poolology Mastering the Art of Aiming

Download or read book Poolology Mastering the Art of Aiming written by Brian Crist and published by . This book was released on 2017-04-28 with total page 68 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: **** This is the SOFTCOVER/GLUED BINDING edition, NOT the notebook spiral binding **** Poolology is a breakthrough aiming system for pool players. I was once asked, ""How do you aim?,"" and I couldn't answer. I said I didn't know, and I'm sure the player that asked me that thought I was holding out on him, keeping some great secret to myself. But it was true - other than to call it instinct, I had no idea how to aim. I'd never been taught how to aim. I just shoot balls into the pocket. This question, ""How do you aim?,"" is what prompted me to write Poolology. After experimenting with various aiming systems, I learned that most aiming systems don't work for most people. That explains why so many pool players struggle to be consistent shot makers. I wanted to fix that. I wanted to find a system that could teach players how to aim any shot on the table, how to develop a feel for pocketing balls. No such system existed, until now. It's called Poolology!

Book The Yoga of Pool

    Book Details:
  • Author : Paul Rodney Turner
  • Publisher : Food for Life Global
  • Release : 2010-09-04
  • ISBN : 9780985045104
  • Pages : 120 pages

Download or read book The Yoga of Pool written by Paul Rodney Turner and published by Food for Life Global. This book was released on 2010-09-04 with total page 120 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If you're like me, you've probably read all the books on how to improve your game, including the classics from Phil Capelle. I don't propose that this book will cover every facet of the game of billiards; Capelle's books do a great job of that. However, what I will declare is that The YOGA of POOL - Secrets to becoming a Champion in Billiards and in Life will provide you all the essential tools you need to become a great player, while simultaneously helping to make you a better person. The book provides the fundamental ingredients of what makes a great player. The chapters are concise and digestible and not filled with unnecessary fluff. The idea behind the book is to give you an easy-to-understand roadmap to success in the form of short essays describing key elements of the game. I need to point out that the sections dealing with aiming are taken from my other book, World's Best Aiming System for Billiards. I felt it was necessary to include the same information for completeness of this book. If you already purchased my other book the World's Best Aiming System for Billiards, you may skip those sections. In any case, the knowledge contained within this book will certainly expand your understanding of the Three-Cut System and support your development in all other facets of the game. One glaring omission from many books on billiards is a lack of information on the mental and spiritual side of the game, including proven techniques for visualization, mind management, and confidence building exercises. You'll find them in this book, and rightly so, because to ignore the mind and spirit is akin to ignoring the driver of the vehicle. Every world-class motor racing team knows that a good driver is the difference between success and failure. As the subtitle suggests, this book is much more than the secrets for success in billiards; it is, in a way, a kind of "Covey-like" directive for the billiards enthusiast on what makes one successful in life. You may just come away from reading this book feeling a renewed sense of self-worth and optimism. I hope so. I promise you this: if you apply the following ingredients of success to your game, and in your life, you will experience monumental improvements in every aspect. My hope is that the book will serve to make you the very best player and person you can possibly be. -------------- Join Paul on a journey of championship billiards and self- discovery as he reveals the essential ingredients of what makes a great pool player and a great human being.

Book 80 20 Triathlon

Download or read book 80 20 Triathlon written by Matt Fitzgerald and published by Da Capo Lifelong Books. This book was released on 2018-09-18 with total page 352 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A breakthrough program for triathletes -- beginner, intermediate, and advanced -- showing how to balance training intensity to maximize performance -- from a fitness expert and elite coach. Cutting-edge research has proven that triathletes and other endurance athletes experience their greatest performance when they do 80 percent of their training at low intensity and the remaining 20 percent at moderate to high intensity. But the vast majority of recreational triathletes are caught in the so-called "moderate-intensity rut," spending almost half of their time training too hard--harder than the pros. Training harder isn't smarter; it actually results in low-grade chronic fatigue that prevents recreational athletes from getting the best results. In 80/20 Triathlon, Matt Fitzgerald and David Warden lay out the real-world and scientific evidence, offering concrete tips and strategies, along with complete training plans for every distance--Sprint, Olympic, Half-Ironman, and Ironman--to help athletes implement the 80/20 rule of intensity balance. Benefits include reduced fatigue and injury risk, improved fitness, increased motivation, and better race results.

The text suggests that positive lifestyle choices put the player into the endless pursuit of achieving excellence and competitive greatness.

Book Democracy and Education

Download or read book Democracy and Education written by John Dewey and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 1916 with total page 456 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: . Renewal of Life by Transmission. The most notable distinction between living and inanimate things is that the former maintain themselves by renewal. A stone when struck resists. If its resistance is greater than the force of the blow struck, it remains outwardly unchanged. Otherwise, it is shattered into smaller bits. Never does the stone attempt to react in such a way that it may maintain itself against the blow, much less so as to render the blow a contributing factor to its own continued action. While the living thing may easily be crushed by superior force, it none the less tries to turn the energies which act upon it into means of its own further existence. If it cannot do so, it does not just split into smaller pieces (at least in the higher forms of life), but loses its identity as a living thing. As long as it endures, it struggles to use surrounding energies in its own behalf. It uses light, air, moisture, and the material of soil. To say that it uses them is to say that it turns them into means of its own conservation. As long as it is growing, the energy it expends in thus turning the environment to account is more than compensated for by the return it gets: it grows. Understanding the word "control" in this sense, it may be said that a living being is one that subjugates and controls for its own continued activity the energies that would otherwise use it up. Life is a self-renewing process through action upon the environment.
